Pokémon: A Trainer Who Masters the Six Powers from the Start

Chapter 39: Chapter 39: The First Step to Fame

"Damn it, what on earth is going on? Why have the Pokémon suddenly gone berserk with rage?"

Deep in the forest, a group of rangers clad in green uniforms worked tirelessly to command Pokémons in an attempt to quell the chaos. Despite their efforts, many wild Pokémon were still charging out of the forest.

Even before the emergency alert was issued, the League's rangers had detected signs of unrest among the Pokémon in the forest's depths and rushed to suppress it.

In the Pokémon world, rangers, police officers, and investigators make up the League's three prominent armed forces. The primary responsibility of rangers is to combat poachers, protect Pokémon habitats, and intervene during Pokémon uprisings.

These uprisings often stem from powerful wild Pokémon being attacked by poachers or other individuals, causing the enraged Pokémon to pursue their attackers beyond their territory. This in turn intimidates weaker wild Pokémon in the vicinity, prompting them to flee their domains and creating a chain reaction of chaos.

Sometimes, dominant Pokémon recruit others as their subordinates. If a leader becomes enraged, its followers typically join in the pursuit, escalating the situation.

The ranger who had arrived first on the scene was only of elite rank, ill-equipped to contain an uprising of this scale. Fortunately, a League-certified Pokémon Champion was en route, and higher-ranking elite rangers were heading deeper into the forest to tackle the core of the problem. Without their imminent arrival, the fragile defensive line would have already crumbled.

Now, the rangers could only hope the Champion would arrive swiftly and that other rangers and nearby trainers would lend their strength to prevent the maddened Pokémon from reaching surrounding towns.

Time was running out. As dusk fell, the urgency grew. Should the uprising persist into the night, the situation would become even more perilous. Certain Pokémon grow more aggressive under the cover of darkness, while humans struggle with limited visibility, drastically reducing their chances of survival in an encounter.

Amidst the mounting tension, a lone figure darted toward the heart of the forest like an unbridled stallion—Ron.

After accepting the mission, Ron swiftly shifted his Pokémon to "mission mode," enabling him to log defeated Pokémon for the League's evaluation. This would serve as proof of task completion.

On his journey, every wild Pokémon he encountered fell to Bellossom, while Persian provided support, and Machoke stayed close to protect him. Though Ron sought to accumulate as many contribution points as possible, his safety remained his top priority.

Being on the forest's outskirts, the Pokémon Ron faced were mostly around level 10. Against Bellossom's overwhelming attacks, they could barely withstand one hit, let alone two.

With shimmering green Magical Leaves swirling around her and brandishing Leaf Blade in hand, Bellossom seemed like a Valkyrie incarnate. Persian prowled nearby, eliminating any Pokémon Bellossom might miss.

Wasting no time, Ron pressed on toward the forest's depths, where elite-level Pokémon awaited. He had three goals for this mission: strengthen Machoke and his team, accumulate contribution points, and make a name for himself.

Although Team Rocket had not set a deadline for Ron to establish himself within the League, he understood that the sooner he achieved recognition, the better. It would earn him more attention and open opportunities for future endeavors. To him, this chaos was the perfect stage to shine. A stellar performance would ensure he was noticed by both peers and superiors in the League, paving the way for his plans.

Elsewhere in the forest, a group of rookie trainers struggled against an onslaught of wild Pokémon. With Pokémon barely above level 10, they initially believed they could handle the situation. However, as time passed and more opponents emerged, their confidence waned. Surrounded by enraged Pokémon, escape seemed impossible.

Just as they braced for a desperate stand, a commanding voice pierced through the chaos:

"Bellossom, use Magical Leaf!"

"Persian, go for Feint Attack!"

In an instant, a dazzling green light filled their vision. Razor-sharp leaves streaked through the air, striking down Pokémon one after another. A pale, lithe figure moved with deadly precision, felling every Pokémon in its path.

Within moments, the battlefield fell silent, every wild Pokémon incapacitated.

Ron, mindful of his image, had instructed his Pokémon not to inflict fatal injuries unless absolutely necessary. The defeated Pokémon were merely unable to fight, not seriously harmed.

"My name is Ron," he said, stepping forward. "Like you, I'm here on a League mission."

He paused briefly, surveying the group of trainers. "The deeper you go, the more Pokémon you'll face. It's safer to stay on the outskirts and prevent any wild Pokémon from escaping the forest."

Without waiting for a response, Ron turned and disappeared into the forest.

"D-"

Before they could utter their thanks, Ron's silhouette vanished into the shadows.

"We're so lucky that guy, Ron, showed up. Otherwise, we'd be done for."

"Yeah! Did you see his eyes? They were purple! So cool!"

Grateful and awestruck, the trainers couldn't help but discuss their savior. With his overwhelming strength and striking presence, they quickly began referring to him as "Sir Ron."

Emboldened by his initial success, Ron made a habit of assisting other trainers in distress. His remarkable power, distinctive violet eyes, and habit of introducing himself left an indelible impression. Word of his deeds spread rapidly among the trainers, and his reputation began to grow.

As Ron ventured deeper into the forest, he entered territory where the wild Pokémon were stronger, with levels exceeding 20. His journey to fame had only just begun.
