Pokémon: A Trainer Who Masters the Six Powers from the Start

Under the searing pain, Nidoking's fury burned brighter. It launched Megahorn, its horn elongating and glowing with a dazzling white light as it charged directly at Machoke.

Machoke, however, stood firm in its stance (Bulk Up), unfazed by the incoming attack, waiting for Ron's next command.

"Machoke, Soru, then Seismic Toss!"

At the last moment, just as Nidoking closed the distance, Ron barked the order.

In a blur of movement enhanced by its elevated attack from the Bulk Up, Machoke vanished from its spot, shifting swiftly to Nidoking's side.

Executing Seismic Toss, Machoke grabbed Nidoking's arm, utilizing both its strength and Nidoking's momentum to hurl it away with great force.

Nidoking slammed into the ground with such impact that the earth trembled, but the beast seemed impervious to pain. It quickly got back on its feet, unfazed by the blow.

Learning from its previous errors, Nidoking refrained from charging recklessly again. Instead, it hurled two nearby, uprooted trees to block Machoke's paths of escape.

Machoke, undeterred, used Karate Chop, cleanly splitting both trees in two. Taking advantage of the momentary distraction, Nidoking lunged forward, using one of its inherited moves, Iron Tail.

"Machoke, Soru, then Low Sweep!"

Seizing the opening created when Nidoking swung its tail, Machoke struck with a Low Sweep, knocking Nidoking off its feet.

The move's secondary effect kicked in, lowering Nidoking's speed.

"Machoke, create distance and use Focus Energy!"

Ron's strategy was clear. By leveraging the Bulk Up earlier to boost Machoke's attack, he ensured that Machoke could maximize its potential against Nidoking. Now, by using Focus Energy, he aimed to increase the odds of landing a critical hit.

Meanwhile, Nidoking rose slowly, its movements hampered by the effects of Low Sweep. This delay allowed Machoke to safely complete Focus Energy and retreat with Shave once again.

Repeatedly outmaneuvered, Nidoking grew increasingly calm instead of enraged.

Having evolved from a weak Nidoran into its current form, Nidoking had endured countless brutal battles and dangerous trials. Its combat instincts rivaled those of Pokémon trained under skilled trainers.

Now, with its mind clear, the true battle was about to begin.

With Iron Tail, Nidoking's tail gleamed with a metallic sheen, carving a groove in the earth as it swung. Charging forward, it unleashed Toxic Spikes, scattering venomous traps across the battlefield to restrict Machoke's mobility.

"Machoke, engage with Close Combat!"

Hearing Ron's command, Machoke, eager to fight, dashed forward using Soru.

Sensing danger, Nidoking lashed out with Iron Tail in retaliation.

There were no fancy tactics this time—just a pure clash of raw power.

Iron Tail collided with Machoke's fist, generating a shockwave that rippled outward, shattering the ground beneath them.

Both Pokémon staggered back, cautiously eyeing each other.

For Machoke, this was the first time since mastering Soru and evolving that an opponent had directly withstood its combined Soru and Close Combat attack.

"Machoke, retreat with Soru and use Bulk Up!"

At Ron's command, Machoke quickly disengaged, leaving the field of Toxic Spikes while activating Bulk Up once more.

Despite being momentarily impressed by Machoke's strength, Nidoking launched another offensive. It hurled a barrage of Toxic Spikes, aiming directly at Machoke.

Unflinching, Machoke maintained its stance as the toxic projectiles drew closer.

The instant Bulk Up was completed, Ron shouted another command, and Machoke sprang into action.

Using Soru, it dodged the incoming spikes and delivered another Low Sweep, toppling Nidoking once again.

This opening allowed Ron to order another Focus Energy.

The earlier clash had shown Ron that, without relying on Soru, Machoke still lacked the raw power to fully match Nidoking. He needed to stack boosts to withstand Nidoking's powerful moves with a base power of 120 or more.

Realizing this, Nidoking resorted to spamming Toxic Spikes, hoping to disrupt Machoke's momentum. Unfortunately, the two successful Low Sweeps had lowered its speed by two stages, affecting not only its movement but also the speed at which it could release moves.

Thanks to Soru's superior mobility, Machoke avoided every attempt at entrapment while continuing to set up. Nidoking, growing increasingly desperate, charged forward with Iron Tail, its powerful strikes carving paths through the battlefield.

As soon as Bulk Up was successfully completed for the third time, Machoke vanished with Soru, but Nidoking was prepared this time.

Blue energy flared in its eyes as it unleashed Confusion, one of its inherited moves. The psychic force caught Machoke mid-movement, sending it flying.

Exploiting the type advantage, Confusion dealt significant damage, knocking Machoke off balance. Nidoking followed up by hurling Toxic Spikes and charging with Double-Edge, its head wreathed in rock-type energy, forming the shadowy outline of a double-edged axe.

"Machoke, release the belt! Close Combat!"

Caught off guard by Nidoking's psychic attack, Ron made the call to release Machoke's power-limiting belt.

Once unrestrained, Machoke's muscles bulged, visibly increasing in size and density.

With a stomp, Machoke launched itself forward with Soru, its enhanced strength carving a crater in the ground.

Now moving at an astonishing speed—35 steps per second—Machoke barreled headfirst into Nidoking.

The two collided once more, their clash generating a shockwave that sent debris flying and obscured Ron's view.

"Machoke, use Soru repeatedly with Karate Chop!"

Even without visibility, Ron continued issuing orders.

Unleashed, Machoke moved like a phantom, relentlessly striking Nidoking with Karate Chop.

Meanwhile, the recoil from Double-Edge began taking its toll on Nidoking, especially after its earlier head-to-head clash with Machoke left it visibly disoriented.

Now caught in a defensive spiral against Machoke's relentless onslaught, Nidoking struggled to keep up, its speed and stamina dwindling further.

Victory seemed to edge closer for Ron and Machoke as they capitalized on every advantage in this grueling battle.
