Hurrah!!!
In the arena, gasps echoed as all eyes focused on the smoke ahead. At the same time the little girl fell, the control over Kadabra's body was lifted.
The blow had struck a vital point, and Kadabra collapsed into unconsciousness. girl fell to the ground, clutching her head. Ash stood frozen, staring forward.
"Woo!!"
The red glow in Kadabra's eyes faded, the brilliance in its gaze extinguished, and its body slumped to the floor.
"Pikaaa!"
Pikachu, too, faltered. The light surrounding its body vanished, its eyes turned dull, and it collapsed to the ground. Misty and Brock gasped in shock.
"Ash! Pikachu!!"
Seeing what had happened, Misty and Brock abandoned all other concerns and rushed to help. Misty knelt beside Ash, while Brock hurried to pick up Pikachu.
"What's going on?!" Misty cried, her voice trembling. "Why is this happening?"
Confusion gripped them both. Pikachu had already endured countless battles, but why had Ash suddenly fallen too? Misty's eyes filled with tears.
"Why? Why don't you want to be my friend? Why…"
The little girl's quiet sobs broke the tense silence. Misty and Brock turned toward her with alarmed expressions.
"No!" The man, standing nearby, stepped forward, his voice firm but kind. He approached girl slowly. girl blinked up at him, her expression blank.
"Dad… Dad?" girl murmured, recognition dawning in her voice. Misty and Brock exchanged glances, their suspicions confirmed. Ash had been right all along.
"You're just like Sabrina—you're our child," the man said softly. "Your mother and I love you very much. But no matter how much you want to make friends, you can't hurt others to do it."
The man knelt in front of girl, meeting her eyes.
"Your mother and I know we haven't been the best parents. No matter how you feel about me, I'm willing to be your rag doll, like your mother. I'll stay with you forever if that's what it takes."
"But you and Sabrina are one—you're her, and she's you. You don't need to hurt yourself," he added earnestly.
The man's voice trembled with emotion. He had escaped using Psychic powers before, but seeing Ash and the others hurt because of him, he could no longer run away. He stepped forward, determined to set things right.
Misty and Brock were stunned by his words. Could it really be true that girl's mother had been turned into a doll?
"Dad…" the girl's voice wavered, tears streaming down her face. She was nothing more than the side of Sabrina that had been neglected as a child. Deep down, all she truly wanted was her parents' love and attention.
"I'm sorry, Dad!" girl sobbed, burying her face in his chest.
The man embraced girl tightly, his own eyes misting over. The girl looked past him toward Ash and the others lying on the ground, her face filled with regret.
Misty and Brock glanced at her cautiously. Despite their sympathy, fear lingered in their expressions. The little girl noticed and realized that her actions had only pushed people away, making it impossible to form real friendships.
Feeling her father's embrace, little girl seemed relieved. She leaned into his arms and closed her eyes slightly, a sense of calm washing over her.
Suddenly, a faint light began to emanate from her body. The man noticed it and was about to speak when girl's figure gradually started to fade.
At the same time, in the room near the battlefield, a small model town on a table began to glow. A ray of light emerged from it, descending to the ground and slowly taking shape.
"Husband!" A dignified and gentle figure appeared, her voice trembling with emotion as she cried out upon seeing the man.
"Wife!"
Without hesitation, the man rushed forward and embraced her tightly. It was true—his wife, who had been turned into a puppet by their daughter's Psychic powers, had finally been freed. The reunited couple held each other, overcome with emotion.
Meanwhile, little girl's form dissolved into a burst of light, floating toward Sabrina. There was no need for words of farewell—after all, girl was simply a part of Sabrina, the piece of her that had long been missing.
"Sabrina... how is Sabrina?" The woman's concern was immediate, despite everything. Even after being turned into a puppet by her own daughter, she bore no resentment. Her motherly instincts remained unwavering.
The man quickly led his wife to Sabrina's side. Sabrina remained unconscious, but he could sense that she was fine.
"Hurry and bring Ash and the others over! I'll take everyone to the Pokémon Center!" the man called urgently.
Hearing this, Brock handed Pikachu to Misty before picking up Ash himself. They quickly approached the man, who retrieved Kadabra's Poké Ball from the ground and returned the fainted Pokémon. Once everyone had gathered, the man's eyes glimmered.
Suddenly, an indescribable sensation swept over the group. Before they could react, their surroundings blurred, and when they looked again, they were standing at the entrance of the Pokémon Center.
"This is Teleport!" Brock exclaimed.
"Quick, let's go inside!" the man urged.
Misty and Brock didn't waste time marveling at the Psychic feat. They rushed Pikachu and Ash into the Pokémon Center, where Nurse Joy immediately took charge. She instructed Chansey to help bring the injured into the emergency room.
After examining everyone, Nurse Joy confirmed that Ash and Sabrina were both safe. Pikachu, Kadabra, and Devileon were also receiving treatment in the Pokémon Center's care.
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing the news. Ash and Sabrina were soon moved to a ward to rest.
"How did this happen?" Misty asked anxiously, standing beside Ash's bed. "It was Pikachu battling, not Ash! How could he faint?"
"The state Pikachu was in earlier wasn't a coincidence," Brock replied, his tone serious. "And after Ash collapsed, Pikachu returned to normal. I think the two are connected."
Brock's observation was clear—this wasn't a simple accident. While it was unclear if Pikachu's transformation earlier was a form of evolution, the connection between Ash and Pikachu couldn't be denied.
Whatever had happened, one thing was certain: as soon as Ash fainted, Pikachu reverted to its usual state and collapsed as well. Misty's initial thought, that only Pikachu had been affected, didn't hold up.
