Chapter 12: Important Update
So, this is a bit weird.
I mentioned a surprise a month or two ago. Or at least that was the plan… This is the time for that reveal.
I know that some may be annoyed or disappointed with this announcement, but it was something I'd like to try.
In short, I'll be starting a patreon. Chapters will still be released at the same rate as they have been. And by that I mean the planned rate not the 2-month hiatus getting this prepared… There will be at least 1 chapter per story each month. Each chapter will be at least 3000 words in length. These will be released publicly. The patrons will be getting early access to 3 chapters of each story. This means they will remain 3 chapters ahead until the stories eventually end. When the story eventually ends the chapters will release piecemeal for three months until the entire story is public.
This is my promise that it will never be more or less than that.
This is more a gauge of how interested people are and whether I can manage to write something enticing enough to make money from it.
I would like to and still plan to work on these stories even if this isn't successful. However, keep in mind I'm more incentivized to invest more time into them if it is profitable.
I could go on and on about what I plan to add to the patreon, but I'll just state the baseline information.
Early access, 3 chapters ahead of public releases for; Scars of White, Class C: Civil War, Phantom Opera: White Soliloquy, Piracy?! Unchanging façade in a new world!
I'll be adding an ability to vote on an omake or crossover chapter for COTE and other series of choice, depending on if this is interesting to the readers. If you believe you'd be interested I'll be trialing it for free for a bit. If there's any ideas you think would be cool to do a single chapter about… let's say between 5,000 and 10,000 words as it won't be visited again whilst these four stories are the priority. Then let me know whether in the comments or a message through the patreon or Wattpad.
With some time, I want to add illustrations and the like to each and every chapter. I'm still new to drawing and just art in general so it's taking me some time to get comfortable posting anything. But with a bit of time the old chapters will be re-released with unique illustrations and eventually I'll catch up with the new ones.
My absolute end goal for these series is to make each and every one of them a story that people would want to pay for, to achieve the same or similar level of quality as published light novels. But in the end as they all finish they will be free for all the public to view. It'll take a long time and effort, but I plan to continue these stories until their natural conclusions. Any of your support whether a paying member of the patreon or a reader catching up with the public releases is appreciated greatly.
Oh, and information for what has taken so long. (Feel free to skip this if you don't want to listen to a small rant).
I'm sure you could've guessed but attempting to make all these chapters in advance had taken quite some time. Frankly I was overestimating myself with the time limit I had set. I was effectively trying to crank out 12 chapters overall, at 3000 words each (that's at a minimum; most are above that by a margin) totaling at the very least 36,000 words but it was more like over 40,000…
Then add on the fact that I wasn't really doing 3 chapters for each… No, No. That might be sane. I had the grand idea of doing 4 chapters for each story to update the public readers as well… Meaning nearly 50,000 words at a minimum. In two months…
For my own health I actually calculated the number. It was 63,041 words. For reference, let's say that a 6,000-word document is about 12 pages long, in the style of a book without excessive page wastage.
That's at least 120 pages long! I'm new to writing so maybe I'm wrong, but that just sounds ridiculous.
That wasn't counting the author's notes or rewrites, planning any of that stuff.
Moral of the story is… Please have reasonable goals and deadlines for the stuff you want to do. Writing, drawing, sports etc. etc. It's important to push yourself whilst also giving rest and not forcing so much stress on yourself. I'm just hoping after this rush of work my writing will only get better from here.
Check out: Shir0249 on Wattpad and Patreon. I plan to add the same stories to fanifc.net, AO3 and other such websites as well. So if those are your preferred reading platforms keep an eye out, I might be on them as well soon enough.

For any who chooses to support me, thanks it means a lot. For those that intend to remain free viewing, I appreciate your viewership. The next chapters will be coming soon.
PS- Shout out to Ken_Kaneki99 on Wattpad. Been checking in frequently to see if I was still updating, some authors might feel rushed or under pressure by those messages but honestly it just made me more motivated to drop more chapters. It's good to know that your work and presence was noticed and maybe even missed in some cases. Thanks again.
Until next time.
