Phoenix Reborn In One Piece

Chapter 169: Chapter 169: CP9’s Misjudgment

Now that the situation with the shipwrights was over, the crowd gradually dispersed.

The Dream Crew was still waiting for Robin's decision. As far as Ryuen was concerned, Spandam was scum that needed to be eliminated.

If Robin chose to act now, then Water Seven would be Spandam's grave.

But if she decided to let him go, Ryuen wouldn't argue.

It was like Nami's situation—back in her hometown, Arlong and his crew had brought so much suffering to Cocoyasi Village, even killing Bellemere. Yet in the end, Nami still let Hatchan go.

Ryuen realized that in this way, Robin was very similar to Nami in the original story.

After all, she hadn't spent years with Ryuen like Nami and the others had.

Sure enough, after struggling internally for a while, Robin decided not to act.

"Ryuen, let's not do it. Right now, we still have ties to the World Government, and Spandam's status isn't simple," Robin said softly.

"Fine. We'll let him go for now. But next time, he's dead!" Ryuen said coldly.

"Hehehe~~~"

"Alright, the show's over. Let's go," Robin said with a smile.

Looking at her friends, she felt a warmth in her heart.

She wasn't refusing revenge because she didn't want it—she was worried about her crew. Even though Ryuen was strong, the World Government was stronger, and she didn't want to put her friends in danger.

"Yeah, let's go. We need to find an inn and book a few rooms. We'll be staying here for a while," Nami said softly.

One by one, they jumped down from the building. Ryuen was the last to go, but just as he was about to jump, he suddenly felt a hostile gaze.

Turning his head, he saw it was CP9's leader—Rob Lucci.

Ryuen could tell from his eyes—this guy was arrogant.

"Clang!"

A sharp sound of high-speed movement rang out.

In the blink of an eye, Ryuen was already standing right in front of Rob Lucci.

In an instant, all the CP9 members at Dock No.1 surrounded Ryuen, watching him cautiously.

"Captain Ryuen of the Dream Exploration Team, is there something you need?" Lucci asked calmly.

"What were you looking at just now?" Ryuen asked coldly.

"The Demon Child, Nico Robin," Lucci replied without hesitation.

Standing beside him, Kaku nervously tugged at Lucci's sleeve and whispered, "Lucci, stop saying stuff like that."

The CP9 members could all feel the powerful aura coming from Ryuen. They knew right away that he was no ordinary person.

Hearing Lucci's words, a sharp glint flashed in Ryuen's eyes. His voice was cold as he said, "Rob Lucci, you've got some nerve.

You know full well that Robin is part of the Dream Exploration Team, yet you still dare to call her the Demon Child."

"A criminal is a criminal. No matter where she goes, that fact won't change," Lucci said without fear.

But before he could even finish speaking, a strong hand shot forward like a bolt of lightning and grabbed his throat!

"You little punk, have I been too nice to you?" Ryuen said chillingly.

Kaku panicked at the sight and quickly pleaded, "Captain Ryuen, please have mercy..."

"Captain Ryuen..."

One by one, the other CP9 members also started begging.

By now, Lucci's face was turning red as he struggled desperately, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't break free from Ryuen's grip.

"Well~~~"

"Captain Ryuen, I am Iceburg, the mayor of Water 7. May I ask what my shipwrights have done wrong?" Iceburg arrived in a hurry with Kalifa.

When Kalifa saw Lucci and Ryuen clashing, she immediately went to find Iceburg, hoping he could step in and save Lucci.

After all, the Dream Exploration Team had quite the reputation, and as the mayor of Water 7, Iceburg might be someone they would respect.

"Iceburg, your shipwright here was being quite rude, so I decided to teach him a lesson. That way, he won't be so reckless next time," Ryuen said casually.

With that, he swung his arm and sent Lucci flying.

"Boom... boom... boom..."

"Ugh—!"

Lucci tumbled across the ground, rolling several times before finally stopping, then coughed up a mouthful of blood.

He struggled to get up, wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, and looked at Ryuen with a mix of anger, shock, and frustration. He never expected Ryuen to be this strong.

"Lucci!"

"Lucci, are you okay?"

The CP9 members rushed over to check on him.

The people nearby were stunned. They hadn't expected Ryuen to strike Lucci so decisively—and without holding back.

Iceburg's expression darkened as he looked at Ryuen, feeling secretly shocked.

He knew Ryuen was powerful, but he didn't think he could injure Lucci so easily. After all, his shipyard's foremen were all highly skilled.

But as the mayor of Water 7, he couldn't just stand by and let his shipwrights be humiliated.

He took a step forward, staring at Ryuen coldly. "Captain Ryuen, don't you think this is going too far?"

Ryuen smirked and replied coldly, "Iceburg, don't take it so personally. Your shipwright wasn't just rude—he tried to test my patience.

If it weren't for you, I would've tossed him into the sea to feed the fish."

Iceburg's face grew even darker at Ryuen's words.

"Enough, Iceburg. No need to get so worked up. Who knows? You might even thank me one day. I'm out of here!" Ryuen said before walking away from Dock No.1.

As he passed by, the shipwrights quickly moved aside, afraid he might attack them next.

They were strong, but they weren't even close to Lucci's level. And yet, Ryuen had defeated Lucci with ease.

"Mayor Iceburg, we really owe you for this!"

This time, Kalifa didn't hold back and sincerely thanked Iceburg.

"Thank you, Mr. Iceburg!" the other shipwrights echoed.

"No need to thank me. As the mayor of Water 7, this is just part of my job," Iceburg said with a wave of his hand.

Meanwhile, Rob Lucci, who had been restrained, looked completely unwilling to accept what had happened. This was a huge humiliation for him—he didn't even have time to react before he was taken down.

Ever since joining the World Government, he had never been treated like this. He swore to himself that one day, he would make Dream Crew pay for this embarrassment.

But for now, they had something else to report.

After all, the appearance of Nico Robin in Water 7 was a serious matter.

The one who once gave the order to destroy Ohara using a Buster Call was none other than the father of their current CP9 leader—Spandine!
