Petunia could do magic at home because of Mrs. Snape's presence, and she took advantage of her benefits, she enchanted her blankets to always be cold (she did the same with Lily's) and used the repair spell to mend Severus' clothes, honestly, she didn't understand why the boy's mother couldn't do it herself.

Severus began to look at her differently, he respected her but didn't treat her like Lily but looked at her with admiration, he began to talk to her more and seek her out, she could spend hours talking about herbology.

She didn't want to at first, but Eloise insisted that she didn't want to go alone and both Pandora and Gwen had no interest in doing an N.E.W.T.s in this subject and Petunia couldn't say no to her since Eloise was a girl in need of attention since her parents cared more about their career than their daughter and her brother was much older than her, and it wouldn't hurt to learn the content.

In third years the students were forced to choose two subjects, divination was a waste of time and the class was crowded since most of the students there just wanted an easy subject she saw no point in doing muggle studies, and she hated math, so arithmancy was out of question, so the two remaining subjects were runes it was a mixture of learning a new language and programming since they were used in many magical objects, and she could even embroider runes on her clothes, and the last choice of subjects was the care of magical creatures, she didn't trust Kettleburn as his appearance full of singers wasn't very comforting, but none of the students had been hurt.

She would do runes with Pandora and care of magical creatures with Eloise, Gwen would do muggle studies and divination because she didn't want any more homework and Petunia couldn't judge her since from what Aster had said the homework only tended to increase.
