Chapter 27: Transfer
So here I was, in the abandoned trainstation, surrounded by the animals I had adopted and with a little gift bag in my hand like I had just finished shopping.
There portal or doorway behind be crumpled away, leaving a stained and cracked wall behind.
I immediately transported everyone into the home dimension. After all, I couldn't risk them running away because they were scared.
I brought them inside the house, atleast the pets that wanted to be inside, which was most of them. The water creatures had all entered the lake with its waters growing still with only a few waves from a wind blowing.
The rest entered the house. The cats and crocodiles and most other ones gathered in the living room, which had a small fireplace inside.
The children and demons that I had rescued all appeared once I was inside as well. Some seemed unresponsive and others rushed away, trying to create more distance from me.
The unresponsive ones soon reacted, when they heard a door, the entracedoor open. They too rushed out. Only the untouched children remained now and soon the other ones I had rescued from Bogey came inside.
"Are there any more coming or is it just us now? Asked Micheal Yew.
I answerd:" There are more but they are currently running away. Most probably got lost already."
"So what are you going to do now?" this time it was Gwendolyn.
"I will let them stay outside if they want, but I will give them everything they need to stay healthy, warm and save."
"So does that mean you will cook again?" This time it was Silena talking.
"Of course I will. Everyone that the spirits kidnapped up until now is rescued and here. Now I can focus on helping them recover and training you guys."
"When do you think they will be ready to come inside?"
"No idea, but they will be treated well regardless."
So, once they were done asking questions I began cooking. I made enough for everyone here, including the pets and the demons hiding outside in the forest.
The children and I ate our dinner and, once they were satisfied and had retreated to their rooms, I packed up the food, grabbed some toiletries and warm blackest and left the house.
The first few were just hiding behind trees or bushes, but some got creative and climbed up trees, which was a wise choice as it would protect them from most predetors out during the day. If they were in the real world atleast. This forest had none as the only living animals inside were the ones I had brought with me and considering they were nourished by my presence alone, they weren't hungry either.
The first I approached tried to get away as soon as she noticed me, but she stopped, suspicious of what my plan was when I did not try to chase after her. Instead I had sat down and placed the bus dle with food and everything I previously mentioned on the forest floor.
I grabbed some food and held it out for her. Sure that sounded like I was luring an animal to me, but it wasnt entirely wrong. I wanted them to start trusting me and maybe even eventually feel safe around me.
This was the first goal I had set. Once one of them seemed to have reached it I would start with the next one and then go from there.
Each of them had experienced something horrible and unforgivable, but they needed to heal or atleast overcome it.
I had no delusions that they would never have panic attacks or flash backs, but if things would go as I had planned, they should be able to life a normal live.
She didn't take the food, I wondered why at first, but then I thought that maybe she thought it was drugged. So I did two things. First I picked of a small piece of it and ate jt, showing that it could be eaten safely and then I left, as a way of showing her that I was going to leave her alone.
The next demon, the male one I had rescued from the top tower, was hurt. I could see the blood flowing out of his, well you know where. And it appeared to be a lot.
I moved slowly towards him, not wanting him to see me as more of a threat than he already thought I was and once I was closer, I scooped him up, holding him loosely against my chest. Not strong enough to make him unable to leave but still enough to keep him from falling down.
I hurried inside the house and brought him to an unused room.
I knew the demon would need surgical repairs to help heal the damage done to his anus and sphincter but I was not a doctor or even a healer and I was not going to ask Micheal for help because 1. He was currently asleep, 2. It is unlikely that he has experience with the needed surgical procedures and 3. He was a child and shouldn't even know what caused this.
[Host, there is a possibility to heal him without the need of the appolo child.
Option 1: Use your grimoires to heal his body.
Option 2: Use your grimoires to transfer the injury onto you and the soak in the lake.
Option 3: Combine the unawakened domains of the Deep Sea and Sleep, which will put him inside a healing sleep at the bottom of the lake and slowly heal him.
Option 4: Corrupt him with your energy. It will reconstruct his body and therefor rid him of the injury.
Which one would you like to choose?]
Way 2 and 4 would be the fastest, as I already had everything I needed to heal him. But with the other two options it would take to long to achieve the result I wanted.
And despite knowing which one of the two fastest option would be the best, I decided against option 4.
I did not want him to wake up and be entirely different to what I was before.
So I grabbed the grimoire of Rituals, flipped to the relavant page and spoke the incantation. The demons bleeding stopped immediately as the injury was repaired but at the same time I could feel something rip inside of me. Soon there was blood flowing down my thighs and the pain was new.
New because I had never experienced something like this.
I limped down the stairs and out of the house. I came closer to the lake with every step and then, I plunged into it's waters.
I blacked out right after.
POV Change 3rd Person
Unknown to him, he did not stay long on the surface of the water much less close to the shore, as two sharks, their black scales gleaming in the moonlight, softly grabbed his arms and dragged him further and deeper into the lake.
Soon the reached the bottom of it and there, inside what should have been darkness with barely any light, was a beautiful garden of underwater crystals that looked like flowers. He was let go and then his unconscious form dropped right in the middle of it, while the water around him became saltyer.
The crystals around him glowed brighter for a moment, before they dimmed again, small vines coming from underneath them and turning into a small bed where he was then placed by more vines.
Above the lake, there had been many eyes that had seen him.
Seen him enter the house with an injured demon and shortly after left it again carrying the same injury as the demon had but this time with the scent of a magical ritual around him.
Seen the now uninjured and healthy demon sleep in a soft bed, because the doors had remained open.
And they had seen him drop into the lake, only to be carefully pulled deep inside by what should have been raging beasts after the blood had mixed with the water.
Had seen the lakes bottom, even if it should have been to deep to see, brighten with a colorful glow before returning to normal.
