Paper Paper Fruit In One Piece

Chapter 311: Chapter 311: Turning Enemies Into Allies

In the abandoned factory:

Bang!

Sanji, bloodied, was sent flying to the ground after being kicked hard in the face by a high-heeled shoe. A pigeon perched on a beam tilted its head in curiosity.

Well, Sanji, it looks like you got what you wanted.

See? The beauty is stepping on you.

"Even though I've heard you're bad at dealing with women, this is just ridiculous."

The elegant beauty sitting on a chair with a plum blossom design crossed her legs and looked at Sanji lying on the ground with disdain.

"What a useless man—'Black Leg' Sanji. Did you really think someone like me would fall for you?"

This passionate dancer was, in truth, Violet, an officer of the Donquixote Family under Trebol, in the 'Plum' division.

"Hahaha, completely bewitched by the boss lady's charm!"

"Daring to go against the Donquixote Family..."

"Kid, mark this day—next year it'll be the anniversary of your death!"

A group of lackeys jeered as they surrounded Sanji. Capturing a Straw Hat crew member, and an 86-million bounty pirate at that, was a breeze for them.

—Though that bounty was from the Enies Lobby incident.

"Huff... huff... Miss Violet, you're lying..."

"You have a beautiful heart, but it's shackled by these thugs..."

"Hmph, don't flatter yourself!"

Faced with Sanji's smooth words, Violet snorted coldly.

"Right now, you're probably holding back your anger while thinking about how to escape. Do you think your sweet talk can deceive me? Don't underestimate me."

As Violet kindly adjusted Sanji's tie despite his battered state, a white dove perched on the factory rafters tilted its head.

No, Violet, you've clearly underestimated the power of a gentleman—or rather, the power of shameless persistence!

"I ate the Glare-Glare Fruit and became a 'Vision Human,'" Violet said, making an 'OK' gesture with one hand. Through the circle of her thumb and forefinger, she could instantly "see through" Sanji, stripping him bare in her vision. Looking deeper, she could even see an imagined version of Sanji, as if drawn by Brook!

"And I can also 'see' into your heart!"

"Why did your Straw Hat crew ally with Law? Where are the others? What's your exact plan?—I don't need you to say a word. I'll just 'see' it in your mind!"

Here it was!

This was why Doflamingo hadn't disposed of King Riku or Rebecca yet—it all came down to this former princess, Violet.

The Glare-Glare Fruit, a Paramecia ability, was a god-tier reconnaissance tool. As long as the target was within the user's field of vision, their thoughts could be instantly read. It didn't matter if the target was aware or lying—their current thoughts were exposed.

The fruit couldn't read memories, but the user could share their own memories with others.

Additionally, the user had a constant "clairvoyant" state, enabling them to observe within a radius of 4,000 kilometers around themselves.

What does 4,000 kilometers mean? Earth's equator is only 40,000 kilometers, so this is a straight-line distance equal to traveling from Qingdao, Shandong to Urumqi, Xinjiang. It spans an entire nation!

In terms of reconnaissance range, Byakugan or Sharingan doesn't even come close. If Violet crossed over to the Naruto world, she could monitor the Five Great Nations single-handedly.

As for "x-ray vision" and other shameless features... let's not go there. If it weren't for Violet, with Doflamingo's ruthless nature, would King Riku and Rebecca still be alive? They would've been executed ages ago.

"Glare-Glare: Mind-Reading Technique!"

As Violet used her ability on the bloodied Sanji lying on the ground,

"Ahhhh!"

The beauty's expression froze as she stumbled back in shock, falling onto the floor.

"So... so indecent! Why is your mind filled with such filthy... What about your plans? Your crewmates? At a time like this, how can you still be thinking of..."

"Because my heart is full of you~~"

...!

Lesson learned. To deal with a mind-reader, shamelessness is the answer.

The white dove on the rafter sighed. Being beaten half to death yet still daydreaming about romantic moments with the enemy... Sanji, I acknowledge you as the world's greatest shameless fool!

"Back then..."

"I want you to help me kill a man!"

Faced with Violet's tearful plea, Sanji didn't hesitate to become her bodyguard.

"Your tears are telling the truth..."

Covered in wounds, Sanji recalled their recent encounter. In Violet's "eyes," the man lying on the ground hadn't lied!

"Even if a million people condemn you, I will never doubt a lady's tears!"

"You're such a useless man, but—"

"Thank you. Your words made me really happy."

"Hot Iron Tears: Whale Eye!"

Two massive "whales" formed from her tears, filling half of the abandoned factory. The impact as they fell:

Boom!

In one move, she wiped out her own dancing crew and carried Sanji in her arms.

"Run! You're no match for Doflamingo because—"

"He hasn't actually resigned from the Shichibukai!"

"What?! Cough, cough, this is bad!"

If Doflamingo hadn't stepped down, the Marines wouldn't target the Donquixote Family. In fact, they might even help him fight against the Straw Hat Pirates...

"Roman! Roman!!"

As Violet helped him up, Sanji looked up and shouted.

"I know you're nearby! Did you hear that? Our plan—"

Flap, flap~~

"I heard,"

A white dove flapped its wings and landed on the beam.

"Don't panic. I'll inform the others right away."

——————

Green Bit, by the coastline.

Flap, flap~~

"I have good news and bad news. Which one do you want first?"

?!

Having just crossed the steel bridge while fending off the frenzied attacks of the "Fighting Fish," Law, Robin, Usopp, and Caesar—whose heart had been taken—looked puzzled at the descending dove.

"The good news," Law said after a moment. He had already had enough bad news for one day.

"One of the Donquixote Family officers, Jora, attacked the Sunny, but Nami and the others have captured her."

Jora was a burly woman with triangular glasses, sharp features, curly hair, and glossy lipstick. Her ability, the "Art-Art Fruit," could turn anything into abstract art.

Anyone or anything affected by her ability would not only lose its original function but, after ten minutes, would completely transform into a work of art. For living beings, this meant death the moment the transformation was complete.

It was a near-broken-level fruit, but:

Roman had already warned Nami about her powers in advance. Before Jora even got close to the Sunny, she was spotted by the scouting dove. Jora's ability required her hand-projected mist to make contact with others, but:

From a distance, Nami cleanly struck her with a "60 Million Volt Thunder Dragon!"

And that was the end of it.

Not everyone has the monstrous durability of Zoro or Wyper, able to withstand such a ferocious bolt of lightning and still stand.

"Excellent. We have another bargaining chip now,"

Law said with a rare smile, surprised by how strong the Straw Hats' navigator was. It seemed she hadn't been boasting earlier...

"The bad news is that Doflamingo hasn't resigned from the Shichibukai."

"What?!"

"In simple terms, he used the World Government's power to turn the announcement of his resignation into 'fake news.' This will be confirmed in the afternoon papers."

"How is that possible?!"

Law was stunned. "A mere Shichibukai using the World Government? Could it be..."

"Fufufufu—"

At that moment, an arrogant laugh echoed.

From the distant shoreline, Doflamingo, draped in a pink coat and strutting like a flamingo, approached with a confident swagger.

On the other side, a tall man with short black hair and a circle of stubble around his mouth walked over the sandy beach using a cane. His eyes were closed, and an "X"-shaped scar stretched from the left side of his forehead down across both eyes. He wore a light purple kimono with a black and purple sash, along with the Marine Admiral coat draped over his shoulders.

Marine Admiral: Fujitora.

"Law, you've really done it now. You even managed to attract a Marine Admiral."

Doflamingo looked at Law, Usopp, Robin, and the restrained Caesar, grinning widely.

"The thought of me, a 'former Warlord,' is making me tremble with fear~~"

"Cut the act!!"

It wasn't Doflamingo who was afraid of the Marine Admiral—it was Law and his group who now faced a dangerous situation, caught between the Warlord and the Admiral.

"What do we do now, Ro... The White Knight?"

Caught between a Warlord in front and a Marine Admiral behind, Usopp was completely panicking! As much as he wanted to summon his "Warrior of the Sea" courage, this was way beyond his limit.

*Tap-tap-tap~*

"You're supposed to be a pigeon! What are you even doing?!"

Usopp roared at the white dove clinging to a tree trunk, which was pecking at the bark with an air of "I'm just a woodpecker passing through."

"So, it's a woodpecker,"

The Marine Admiral approaching them rolled his eyes. From his cloudy, milky-white pupils, it was clear he was indeed blind.

"Well, if it's just a blind old man, maybe I can handle this..."

But before Usopp could finish his thought, the blind Marine raised his cane sword, drew it with a flourish, then suddenly sheathed it again. An invisible wave shot into the sky, and in the next instant:

"This has to be a joke..."

"Hey, hey, hey, this isn't funny—"

A deep, rumbling thunder echoed from above, growing louder and more oppressive. A bright red light pierced through the darkened clouds as they began to lower, forming a massive, warped dome-like surface descending toward the ground.

As the distortion reached its limit, the next moment brought tearing and shattering sounds. The sky seemed to collapse as a colossal, fiery meteor burned its way through the heavens, tearing apart the clouds and hurtling toward the earth with devastating force!

"Ahhh, a meteor!!"

Usopp's eyes and tongue practically popped out of his head. Anyone with half a brain could connect the dots to the blind Marine's earlier actions.

"A meteor-summoning ability?"

"It's the power of the Gravity Fruit,"

The "woodpecker" dove climbed onto Usopp's shoulder as Roman's voice came through.

"This guy isn't easy for me to deal with. Anyway, good luck to you all."

"Noooo!! I've bled for the Straw Hat crew! I've made contributions! You can't just leave us like this—?!"

As the dove dissolved into paper and floated away, Usopp felt Roman's presence vanish, leaving him in tears.

"Why?! This kind of terrifying enemy is supposed to be your favorite, Roman, Luffy, Zoro!"

How are Robin and I supposed to deal with this guy?!
