Onepiece:Ares

Chapter 5: Chapter:5

Shiki exhaled a puff of white smoke and grinned. "Jie hahaha... What an arrogant little brat!"

He chuckled again, eyes gleaming with amusement. "I'm starting to like this kid more and more!"

Whitebeard's sharp gaze met Shiki's unruly one, his eyes burning with intensity. He laughed heartily, his deep voice echoing. "Ku la la la... I like this kind of kid too! This guy is mine!"

The air between the two captains crackled with tension, their gazes locked in an unspoken challenge.

The pirates standing behind them exchanged confused glances.

Ares had just been sent flying by Kaido's punch, yet these two legends seemed to hold the boy in unusually high regard. Why?

Long Bread, Linlin's companion and a skilled swordsman, wore a serious expression as he stared at the dissipating smoke. His tone betrayed disbelief.

"That boy… Could he be another monster?"

He had observed the fight with precision, noticing something peculiar.

Ares hadn't just taken Kaido's punch—he welcomed it, as if he had wanted it to hit him.

Meanwhile, Linlin's gaze remained fixed on Ares. Her tongue ran over her red lips, her expression dripping with desire. "Such a strong body…" she whispered, almost hungrily.

Her voice carried a strange intensity. "A union between monsters… Imagine the offspring!"

Her thoughts raced as she eyed both Kaido and Ares. "If I combine with them, I can create the strongest family in the world!"

The attention of the Rocks Pirates was now fully on the smoke. A giant shadow began to emerge from within it.

It was Ares.

He hadn't been defeated.

As the dust settled, the thought ran through everyone's minds:

"Did Kaido's monstrous punch do nothing to him?"

The sight of Ares stepping out of the smoke left jaws dropping and eyes widening in disbelief.

"What the hell?! That guy just ate Kaido's punch and walked it off?!"

"What kind of freak is this? His body's tougher than steel!"

"I thought he was just some arrogant kid, but he's a real monster!"

The crowd of pirates buzzed with astonishment. Even Kaido, standing at the center of it all, looked genuinely shocked.

Ares brushed himself off and spoke as if talking to himself. "That punch… it was good. It actually made my body vibrate."

He nodded thoughtfully, analyzing. "Much more effective than hitting mountains. The technique for applying force is different from my own."

For Ares, the punch wasn't an attack—it was an opportunity to learn.

He had come into contact with powerful pirates for the first time, and every moment filled him with hope. Hope to refine himself into a blade sharper than any Supreme Grade Sword.

Kaido's shock morphed into frustration. He barked out in disbelief: "He's… okay?! How can he be okay after that?!"

He clenched his fists, his earlier arrogance fading.

"That punch could crush a pirate ship… No one except the captain-level figures could take that without being injured!"

Kaido's expression hardened. "His body… it's unreal."

The other pirates around gasped, murmuring in awe.

"Did we just see a second Linlin in the making?"

"No way Kaido loses, though. Right? Right?"

Kaido's strength was legendary among the newer members of the crew. Few could survive his punches unscathed, let alone stand tall after one.

Whitebeard chuckled and turned to Shiki. "Hey, golden-haired lion, what do you say we make this interesting with a little bet?"

Shiki's grin widened, his eyes flashing. "Bet? Sure! Who do you pick?"

Whitebeard glanced at Ares, then at Kaido. He took his time before answering with a confident smile.

"I'm betting on the brat." He leaned in slightly, voice laced with challenge. "100 million Berries. Do you dare?"

Shiki burst into laughter, his pride refusing to back down. "Jie hahaha… You're on, Whitebeard! I'll take Kaido!"

His voice brimmed with confidence. "That kid doesn't stand a chance against Kaido's strength. He's just a rookie. Kaido's got the power and the experience."

Shiki gestured grandly, his voice booming. "When Kaido wins, you better have that 100 million ready, Whitebeard!"

Whitebeard smirked. "Don't be so sure. That boy might surprise you. His physical strength is second only to Linlin. Maybe he'll pull off a miracle."

As the two captains placed their bets, all eyes turned back to Ares and Kaido.

Ares stepped forward, his expression calm and resolute. He gazed up at Kaido, his voice carrying a cold, unwavering tone:

"Your punch…"

"It wasn't strong enough."
