One Piece:Becoming the King of the World from the Rocks Era

Unexpectedly, after a day of sailing, the Rocks Pirate Group suddenly changed course.

They evaded the Navy and World Government spies, disappearing into the ocean, leaving everyone guessing the direction of their massive fleet.

Vicks Kingdom, a relatively powerful nation in the New World, had produced Navy admiral-level warriors in the past, boasting a rich heritage.

Even when pirates rampaged across the New World, few dared to cause trouble in Vicks Kingdom.

Since the Rocks Pirate Group became the New World's overlord, Vicks Kingdom allied with surrounding kingdoms.

They formed a coalition, believing that with the Navy and World Government's protection, they had nothing to fear, even from the Rocks Pirate Group.

Thus, Rocks had long broadcasted his demand for these kingdoms to submit.

Rocks didn't need much from them; just a tribute similar to the Heavenly Tribute to the World Government, along with flying the Rocks Pirate Group's flag, without interfering in their rule.

However, these kingdoms rejected his offer, forming a so-called alliance to deter Rocks.

An enraged Rocks summoned all officers, launching this punitive plundering war to set an example.

Rocks wanted all New World kingdoms to see that the Rocks Pirate Group was the true overlord, beyond the control of the World Government and Navy.

Three days later, the massive Rocks Pirate Group fleet appeared in the waters of Vicks Kingdom.

"Your Majesty, bad news! The Rocks Pirate Group fleet has entered our waters."

A soldier rushed into the throne room of Vicks Kingdom with the alarming report.

"What?"

"Quickly, send word to the Navy and World Government to send reinforcements!"

"And notify all generals to bring their soldiers to the capital for protection!"

The king of Vicks Kingdom, upon hearing the report, nearly fell off his throne in fear.

"Yes, Your Majesty!"

The soldier hurried out to relay the messages.

News of the Rocks Pirate Group's attack on Vicks Kingdom quickly spread throughout the nation.

World Government spies in Vicks Kingdom also transmitted the news to the World Government and Navy.

**Holy Land Mariejois:**

"Damn Rocks Pirate Group, daring to attack a World Government member nation. Have the Navy head to Vicks Kingdom immediately!" Saint Saturn of the Scientific Defense God of War fumed, not expecting Rocks to be so audacious as to declare war on them.

To others, this was Rocks proving himself as the New World's overlord; to the Five Elders, it was a blatant declaration of war against the World Government.

"Rocks is one of the D clan. His declaration of war was something we predicted long ago."

"We once thought the Navy could suppress the Rocks Pirate Group. Plus, Rocks is old now, so we allowed him to reign in the New World, thinking he wouldn't live much longer anyway."

"In hindsight, our decision was wrong. Our leniency inflated his ambition, making him believe he could challenge us," Saint Peter of the Agricultural God of War calmly analyzed.

"The Rocks Pirate Group must pay for this, or other World Government member nations will be dissatisfied, affecting the Heavenly Tribute," Saint Nasujuro of the Financial God of War stated.

"Let the Navy test the waters first, gauge the current strength of the Rocks Pirate Group, and then devise a plan for their extermination," Saint Mars of the Environmental God of War proposed.

**Vicks Kingdom Waters:**

The massive fleet of the Rocks Pirate Group surrounded the entire Vicks Kingdom.

"Waahahaha, men, attack! Let the plundering begin!" Rocks laughed loudly at the sight of Vicks Kingdom.

"Charge!"

"Attack!"

"I want treasure!"

At Rocks' command, the Rocks Pirate Group's pirates descended upon Vicks Kingdom like ravenous wolves.

The kingdom's soldiers, overwhelmed by the officers' Conqueror's Haki, mostly collapsed.

The remaining powerful generals couldn't withstand the onslaught of the Rocks Pirate Group members.

Vicks Kingdom had no means to resist the Rocks Pirate Group, utterly crushed and overrun.

"Whitebeard, looks like you're staying to guard the ship," Li Yuan said to Whitebeard, who had no intention of leaving the ship.

"I'm not interested in slaughter and plunder," Whitebeard replied, shaking his head. The longer he stayed with the Rocks Pirate Group, witnessing the endless killing, the more he grew weary of it.

"Then guard the ship well. I'm off to plunder. Otherwise, I won't have money to buy you drinks next time," Li Yuan said, unfazed by the violence and theft.

Like Rocks and Shiki, Li Yuan harbored ambitions of world domination, knowing that slaughter and plunder were necessary means to that end.
