He tentatively reached out to touch it, his body still crouched on a massive stone.
He hadn't felt the sea's touch for who knows how long, and the cool sensation from his fingertips made him chuckle softly.
Sitting atop the large rock, Anos was overwhelmed with emotions he couldn't put into words.
He took a deep breath and exhaled slowly, a faint smile tugging at his lips.
Anos leaned back, resting on the cool surface of the rock as he gazed at the endless stars scattered across the night sky.
At that moment, he felt a deep sense of calm and peace. Without the side effects of his Devil Fruit abilities, the world seemed far more beautiful.
For most of the night, he lay quietly by the seaside, relishing the cool breeze and the celestial display above.
Everything felt serene, but Anos knew this was not the only reason he had paid such a high price.
After this moment of respite, reality would come crashing down once more.
As dawn approached, Anos silently returned to his room. What awaited him now was not just the responsibilities of ruling a kingdom but also the plans for its future.
The Tru Kingdom was now on the right track, steadily developing in a positive direction.
Anos's ambition to establish a military base on Skypiea wasn't about ruling the world or personal power. His foremost priority was ensuring the safety of his nation. Yet, with his growing strength, a darker desire began to stir within him.
At some point, Anos realized he was no longer content with maintaining the status quo.
He wanted more to expand his kingdom's influence, claim new territories, and elevate his nation's standing in the world.
This ambition grew alongside his power, an undeniable hunger that refused to be ignored.
As the first light of morning crept into the room, Anos remained awake. He sat by the edge of the bed, deep in thought, his gaze occasionally falling to the Devil Fruit resting beside him.
Its strange and unattractive appearance belied the potential locked within.
He sighed, accepting the weight of his decision. Whether it brought fortune or disaster, he would shoulder the consequences.
Reaching for the Devil Fruit, Anos scrutinized it under the dim light of his room.
But what was there to see? It looked as unappetizing as any Devil Fruit he had encountered before.
"Click..."
Closing his eyes, Anos took a deep bite. The taste was as revolting as he remembered, causing him to grimace.
Yet he forced himself to swallow, suppressing the nausea that rose within him.
As he placed the half-eaten fruit back on the bedside, a surge of demonic energy erupted within him.
This time, it was more than just the Devil Fruit's power awakening it was a transformation unlike anything he had experienced before.
Nine ethereal chains, glowing with a vivid blue hue, extended from Anos's back, violently tearing through the room around him.
The Psychic Devil Fruit's abilities were awakening at an alarming rate, far beyond what Anos had anticipated. His innate abilities, coupled with this newfound power, were merging into something extraordinary.
The chains seemed to embody pure energy, radiating both destructive force and incredible control.
Anos recognized them as akin to sealing techniques powers that could manipulate space itself.
The sudden awakening didn't stop there. His Observation Haki surged, shattering limitations he hadn't realized existed.
The intensity of his transformation overwhelmed him, his body trembling as veins and blood vessels bulged under the strain.
Realizing the danger, Anos summoned his remaining composure. If this continued, the room and those nearby could be in jeopardy. He used his spatial abilities to teleport away.
Anos reappeared in the grand square, far from the palace, where he had once clashed with agents of CP-2. The area, now repaired, was a safe distance from the palace.
Collapsing to the ground, Anos pulled a Den Den Mushi from his coat. His hand trembled as he pressed its buttons, his voice hoarse with urgency.
"Abona! Seal off the palace backyard immediately! No one is to approach!"
Before he could hear a response, Anos lost consciousness, his body crumpling onto the square.
Even as he lay still, the chains continued their destructive rampage, lengthening and lashing out uncontrollably.
Within moments, the square was reduced to rubble, and the once-majestic trees surrounding it shattered into splinters.
