One Piece: The Minecraft Devil!

Chapter 5: Chapter 5:Cocoyasi Village!

Yami stood on the deck of his Minecraft ship, the salty sea breeze ruffling his silver hair as he gazed out at the approaching threat. Beside him, Tashigi stood with a hand on the hilt of her sword, eyes narrowing at the massive sea king that loomed ahead. Its massive jaws parted, revealing rows of razor-sharp teeth as it prepared to attack.

Yami, however, was unfazed.

"Tashigi, pay attention," he said, his voice calm yet firm. "This is Conqueror's Haki—one of the three types of Haki that cannot be obtained through training. Only one in a million are born with it. In the future, if you want to fight strong opponents like Mihawk or other monsters with this ability, you'll need to train hard just to withstand it."

Tashigi's eyes widened. She had read about Conqueror's Haki before and had also been training with Yami who was teaching her armament and observation haki, but witnessing the Conqueror's haki firsthand was something else.

With a simple release of his will, an overwhelming pressure radiated from Yami. The air around them grew thick, and an invisible force crashed into the sea king like a tidal wave. The beast, which had been on the verge of attacking, suddenly froze in place. Its massive body shuddered, and its pupils shrank in terror before it fell limp, completely subdued.

Yami smirked. "See? Just like that."

Tashigi swallowed, staring at the now-motionless beast. 'That's terrifying… This idiot is actually terrifying.' She clenched her fists. 'I have to get stronger. I refuse to just stand by while monsters like him fight battles I can't even comprehend.'

Meanwhile, Yami had already drawn his iron Minecraft sword. A small fire tornado swirled around the blade, its heat distorting the air around him.

"Faiasutomu no Ikari!" he roared, slashing at the sea king.

A fire tornado burst from his blade in a wide arc, spiraling toward the beast. The flames expanded rapidly, surrounding the sea king in a fiery ring. The creature thrashed, its agonized screams echoing as the tornado's sharp, burning winds cut into its flesh, reducing it to nothing but charred remnants.

As the flames dissipated, only the burnt remains of the sea king floated on the water. The pungent smell of cooked meat filled the air.

Yami sheathed his sword and turned to look at Tashigi, only to find her staring at her own sword with an intense expression, as if willing it to do the same.

Bonk!

A karate chop landed on her head.

"Ow!" Tashigi yelped, clutching her head. "What the hell was that for?!"

Yami shrugged. "I know that look. You're thinking about how you can do that too, aren't you?"

"So what if I am?!" she fumed, rubbing the sore spot.

Yami smirked. "You're not ready. If I let you try something like that, you'd probably end up missing an arm or two before you even reach the enemy."

That did it.

"You bastard!" Tashigi shouted as she tackled him. "Take that back!"

Yami laughed as the two bickered, rolling around on the deck in a childish scuffle.

After their ridiculous fight ended, both of them stood at the bow of the ship, gazing at the island ahead. A cluster of islands lay before them—Conomi Islands, their destination.

Tashigi adjusted her glasses and crossed her arms.

Yami kept his eyes on the land. "The pirates are hiding in Cocoyasi village."

Tashigi nodded. "Good. Then I'll fight them alone. I need to get stronger."

Another bonk! landed on her head.

"Ow! Again?! What is it this time?!"

Yami sighed. "You say that, but I doubt you'd even make it to the pirates without tripping and somehow losing an arm."

"You—!" Tashigi's face turned red as she lunged at him again.

The two once again began rolling around, trading insults as they fought like children.

As their ship neared Cocoyasi Village, the villagers stared in shock.

They all knew what happened when a ship approached their shores. Arlong's pet sea king would destroy it before it even got close. But this ship—strange and cartoonish as it looked—had arrived completely unscathed.

Something was different.

A 17-foot-tall silver-haired man stepped off the ship, his iron sword hanging at his waist. Beside him, a dark-haired woman with glasses and a sword at her side followed.

Among the villagers, a certain blue-haired woman froze when Yami looked towards her.

Yami's eyes landed on the blue haired woman and her orange-haired companion.

'Nojiko... and Nami. Found them.'

A smirk played on his lips. He had been debating whether to invite Nojiko to his crew, but Nami? He was definitely making her his nakama. Well… after he dealt with some business first.

His eyes flickered toward Tashigi. 'Now… how do I break this to her?'

Should he manipulate her into leaving the Marines? Maybe if she saw how the Celestial Dragons treated people, or if she witnessed Akainu's brand of "justice," she'd realize the truth. Either way, it was a thought for another time.

For now, he had other matters to attend to.

Walking up to the two sisters, he spoke.

"I finally found you, Nami."

Both women tensed.

Nojiko's wary gaze flickered to Tashigi's Marine uniform, while Nami took a defensive stance.

"Who are you?" she demanded, trying to figure out if she'd seen him before. 'Did I scam this guy at some point? No way, I'd remember someone this big.'

Yami chuckled. "Relax. I'm not here to cause you trouble. In fact, I'm here to help you and your village—by killing Arlong."

Silence.

Both sisters' eyes widened in shock.

Then, Nami burst out. "What kind of nonsense are you spouting?! Do you even know who Arlong is?! If he heard you say that, he'd kill you in an instant! Being so tall does not mean you can win against a fishmen who are 10 times stronger than humans!"

Yami didn't reply. Instead, he unsheathed his sword.

Nami and Nojiko tensed, ready to run—but then they stopped as Yami's blade ignited in flames.

"Burasutoban!"

With a downward slash, a wave of fire shot from his sword, crashing into the sea. The water hissed violently as an explosion erupted from beneath, sending a towering column of steam into the air.

The villagers gasped in terror.

Tashigi giggled, shaking her head at her super strong idiot tall man. "He always has to show off."

Then, she paused. 'Wait… my super strong idiot tall man?' Her face heated up. She glanced at Yami. 'He is kinda handsome when he's not being a pain in my ass...'

Nami and Nojiko stood frozen, eyes locked onto the swirling mist and the remnants of the explosion.

Nojiko swallowed. "Y-you'll really help us?"

There was something in her voice. Something she hadn't allowed herself to feel in years.

Hope.

Yami grinned. "Of course. I'll handle Arlong and his goons. Not sure about her though. She tends to trip over air and break her limbs."

Tashigi twitched.

"This bastard!"

She launched herself at him, peppering him with cartoonish punches as they both collapsed onto the ground, rolling around once again.

The villagers watched the ridiculous scene in silence.

Then, slowly, they began to smile.

For the first time in years, hope flickered in their hearts.

Maybe… just maybe… these two really could defeat Arlong and his men, and save them.
