Ann paused in her tracks by the sudden loud sound and turned her head to look back only to see something that left her speechless.

She saw the back of a young man with shiny black hair which seemed as tall as a mountain.

Luffy raised his fist and looked at Ann, asking quickly. "Are you alright? I just felt you were in danger so I came as quickly as possible."

"You, you, you..." Ann was completely dumbfounded to recognize the young man as the same annoying guy she just met a few minutes ago. She knew he was strong but she had never anticipated that he could deal with such a ferocious beast which was also the overload of the forest with just one punch.

What's the situation?

So strong?

Is that really the saber-toothed tiger, one of the overlords in the jungle?

Knocked down by his punch?

Impossible!

Ann was completely shocked!

After all, it was one of the few beasts that she was very scared to face and always escaped whenever she came across it but the young boy actually took it down with a single fist.

"What's wrong?" Luffy saw her facial expression and asked confused.

"May I have your name?" Ann remembered that she did not pay attention when Luffy introduced himself because of the weird feeling so she quickly asked.

Luffy was amused by her rapid change in behavior and grinned brightly.

"Luffy, Monkey·D Luffy. Never forget this name. This is the name of the Future Pirate King!"

Ann furrowed her brows, clearly not interested in that. She pointed at herself and introduced herself to him. "My name is Portcas D Ann. You can also call me Ann!"

She put her hand on her hips and asked with sparkling eyes.

"So what was that power that you used? Even though it was fast but I clearly saw that your arms and fists were covered with something black like paint. What is that? My eyes are very sharp!"

Ann was very interested, her expression was filled with curiosity and desire.

"Armament Haki." Luffy shrugged his shoulders and revealed to her.

It was not a big secret anyway.

"Can you teach me? I also want to become as powerful as you!" Ann requested sincerely.

Luffy was really surprised by her sudden request. But being familiar with Ace's personality, she was not going to be that different.

"Ahh, there you are, Luffy, Ace!"

At this moment, Sabo also arrived. He was running towards them, gasping a little, clearly running for a long time without stopping.

The poor guy was startled by the sudden disappearance of Luffy in front of his eyes. It was then followed by a Lou explosion from the forest. He quickly made sure that their stash was safe and well-hidden before running here.

"Ehh? Isn't that... the overlord of the forest the saber-toothed tiger? What happened to it?" Sabo shouted in shock as he looked at the fallen body of the ferocious beast.

Ann glanced at Luffy and said to him. "It was Luffy. He punched the saber-toothed tiger and killed it in one move."

"What?! Luffy killed the saber-toothed tiger in a single punch!" Sabo cried out in shock as he glanced between Luffy and the beast with wide eyes. He looked at Ann and asked suspiciously. "Are you telling me the truth?"

"Are you doubting me?" Ann narrowed her eyes and snorted. "I saw it with my own eyes. He covered his fist with some weird black ink-like substance and punched it on the head. The giant saber-toothed tiger falls down lifelessly on the ground after that. Even the huge explosion was also caused by his fist."

"Hahaha... let's go and cook this fellow. We will talk more at lunch!" Luffy stopped the two of them. He laughed and suggested to them.

"But we two cannot carry this beast on our own. I have to ask Dandan and others for help."

Ann shook her head and looked slightly disappointed.

Sabo also shook his head as he was really not strong enough to carry the beast.

"You two... are really weak." Luffy sighed and picked up the beast with one hand, carrying the heavy thing on his shoulder.

"Lead the way!" He glanced at the two dumbfounded youngsters and said.

Ann and Sabo looked at each other and sighed helplessly, leading him to their secret location.

Luffy quickly collected some dry wood and lit up a fire before he cut the huge tiger into pieces skillfully with his sword. He then set up a frame and placed the pieces of meat over the fire to let it cook properly.

Ann and Sabo also helped him with minor tasks and took a seat with him around the fire, waiting for the meat to cook so they could enjoy a feast.

"Ah, yes, what was it you asked me before? Can you tell me again?" Luffy suddenly remembered that Ann actually asked him to teach and asked her.

Ann's face turned serious as she said. "I want you to teach me that Armament Haki. I also want to become as strong as you."

"So, you want to learn Haki, huh? Okay. I will teach you." Luffy thought for a moment and agreed while shrugging his shoulders.

"Uh?... You actually agree? Just like that..." Ann was not expecting him to agree so his answer really took her by surprise but nonetheless, she was clearly happy and excited.

"Hey, what about me?" Sabo pointed at himself and asked.

"You too, you idiot." Luffy laughed followed by Ann, leaving Sabo to be slightly embarrassed.

Luffy had already shared his dream and he was also aware of the dream of the two of them.

After a brief contact and chat, the three of them shared to each other that they wished to become pirates!

Who would have thought that the scene Luffy was going to witness a year later, he would live that now?

Sabo saw that the three of them wanted to become pirates and were somewhat similar to each other so he proposed that the three of them become brothers.

Well, of course, Ann would be a Sister!

Luffy had no objection since it was already inevitable anyway. 

Ann returned back to Dandan's bandit hideout and stole a bottle of wine with three cups to hold the ceremony.

"If we become sworn brothers, who among the three of us will be the eldest brother?" Sabo asked doubtfully.

"Normally speaking, the oldest person should be the eldest brother, but... if the three of us become sworn brothers, it will be based on strength. And since Luffy is the strongest, he is the eldest brother, and I am the second sister. You are the third brother." Ann declared.

Sabo was slightly embarrassed by being the youngest brother but he had no objection to the arrangement.

In this way, the three of them drank the sworn wine and became three brothers.

"You will be my brother and sister from now on. I will teach you Haki and other powers. If you encounter any danger in the sea, come to me! I will protect you both with my life!" Luffy looked at the two of them and said seriously.
