At that moment, Doflamingo made his move.
He had felt the palpable murderous intent radiating from Roja—a level of intent that made even him, the feared "Heavenly Yaksha" of the underworld, shudder involuntarily.
Realizing the danger, Doflamingo decided to strike preemptively.
"Overheat!"
He extended his arm, unleashing nearly invisible threads from his palm. These threads wove together, forming a thick, hair-like whip that stretched far back before lashing out toward Roja with devastating speed.
Despite the seemingly intricate action, Doflamingo's mastery over the String-String Fruit allowed him to execute it in the blink of an eye.
The attack, imbued with tremendous cutting power, sliced through the air with a sharp, whistling sound, reaching Roja almost instantaneously.
But Roja only shook his head slightly, unfazed.
Without hesitation, his hands glowed with Busoshoku Haki (Armament Haki). The peak of his mastery revealed itself as a blackened aura encased his fists.
When the attack reached him, Roja calmly intercepted it.
"Bang!"
The impact echoed like a blade clashing against steel. Roja caught Doflamingo's whip with his bare hands, halting its advance effortlessly.
But Roja wasn't finished.
A flash of determination crossed his eyes as he muttered, "Shave."
In an instant, Roja vanished from sight, utilizing the superhuman speed of one of the Six Powers (Rokushiki). Before Doflamingo could react, Roja reappeared right in front of him.
A darkened palm, emanating pure Haki, filled Doflamingo's vision.
Roja grabbed Doflamingo's face with one hand and, with overwhelming force, slammed him into the ground.
"Boom! Boom! Boom!"
The earth quaked violently with each impact. Craters formed beneath Doflamingo as Roja repeatedly smashed his head into the ground without mercy. The landscape around them became a shattered wasteland.
Roja smiled coldly amidst the destruction. "You haven't forgotten your identity as a pirate, have you? As a Marine admiral, I can't let you off lightly. That would be embarrassing for me."
Doflamingo, battered and dazed, struggled to gather his wits. Through sheer willpower, he extended his arm to grab hold of Roja.
Noticing this, Roja paused momentarily, curious about what Doflamingo intended to do next.
That's when Doflamingo unleashed his Haoshoku Haki (Conqueror's Haki).
A wave of overwhelming pressure erupted from Doflamingo, rippling outward and crashing down on the surroundings like a storm. Civilians in the area collapsed one after another, unable to withstand the sheer force of his aura.
The air grew thick with an oppressive presence, and hallucinations of ferocious beasts gnawed at the edges of their consciousness.
Roja, however, stood unshaken.
"Your Conqueror's Haki isn't bad," he remarked, shielding Ain, who stood behind him, with his own spiritual pressure—an even greater force than Doflamingo's Haki.
Ain, watching in awe, felt the protective warmth of Roja's presence. Were it not for him, she would have collapsed alongside the others.
Roja smirked as he stepped forward. "Oh, so you're angry? That aura of yours is decent, but let me show you what true dominance looks like."
Closing his eyes briefly, Roja took a deep breath before opening them again, releasing his own Haoshoku Haki.
The pressure emanating from Roja was unlike anything the Crowd—or Doflamingo—had ever experienced. The sky above the Sabaody Archipelago darkened as storm clouds gathered, and the very air seemed to distort under the weight of his aura.
Doflamingo's face contorted with disbelief. "How... How is this possible?! Why do you possess Conqueror's Haki of this magnitude?!"
Roja's aura bore a similarity to an individual Doflamingo had encountered years prior—a mysterious figure on Haiyan Island whose overwhelming spiritual pressure had left an indelible mark on him.
But Roja gave Doflamingo no time to dwell on these memories. With a mocking smile, Roja lifted Doflamingo off the ground by his head.
"Doflamingo, have you ever heard of casting iron into the earth?"
Before Doflamingo could process the question, Roja propelled him downward with incredible force.
"Boom!!!"
The impact resounded across the entirety of the Sabaody Archipelago. Dust and debris flew into the air as the ground split open, forming massive cracks.
Doflamingo's body lay motionless, his head buried deep into the shattered earth.
As the dust settled, Roja descended gracefully to the ground, turning to Ain. "Contact the Fleet Admiral and report the situation. Have him send reinforcements to escort Doflamingo to Impel Down—let's ensure he's locked in Level Six."
In Marineford, Fleet Admiral Sengoku rubbed his temples as he received Ain's report. "This is troublesome..." he muttered with a sigh.
Sengoku knew all too well that Doflamingo's identity as a former Celestial Dragon made this situation a political minefield. Even though Doflamingo's family had renounced their nobility, his bloodline remained unchanged.
"But perhaps it's better this way," Sengoku mused. "Roja doesn't know about Doflamingo's past, and sometimes ignorance is bliss."
What Sengoku didn't realize, however, was that Roja had orchestrated everything from the start.
Roja had intentionally silenced Doflamingo during their battle, ensuring he couldn't reveal his ties to the Celestial Dragons.
For Roja, some secrets were better left buried—just like Doflamingo.
