One Piece My strange ability

Chapter 1: Chapter -1 Reality

Sea Calendar Year 1503

(At this time, there are still 19 years before Luffy goes to sea.)

The sharp sound of gunfire pierced through the air, mingling with the villagers' screams, shattering the tranquil night. Flames roared skyward, lighting up the dark village as if it were daytime.

Corpses with grotesque expressions lay in pools of blood, their faces frozen in despair, fear, or rage. Severed limbs and dismembered bodies were scattered around, painting a horrifying picture of hell on earth.

Inside a crumbling house, a young man clenched his fists so tightly that his nails dug into his flesh, drawing blood. But he didn't notice the pain in his hands; it paled in comparison to the agony of the devastation before him.

"Please, let me go. We've given you everything of value!"

An elderly figure knelt in front of a cruel-looking man, kowtowing and pleading.

The man, thin with pronounced cheekbones and sunken eyes, sneered. He held a cold blade in his hand, his face twisted with malice.

"Hmph, who do you think I am? I'm a pirate!"

The pirate snorted, raising his long Sword. Without hesitation, he swung it. Blood spurted, and the old man's head flew into the air. The cries ceased abruptly.

The pirate brought the Sword to his nose, sniffing the blood with a satisfied expression.

"The Great Age of Pirates truly is a wonderful era," he muttered.

Suddenly, his gaze shifted to a nearby wardrobe, his lips curling into a sinister grin.

"Tsk tsk tsk... Looks like there's another one hiding."

Inside the wardrobe, the young man trembled, his eyes burning with rage. His fists tightened, bracing himself to fight.

But before the pirate could act, hurried footsteps approached, accompanied by a rough shout:

"Scott, stop playing around! Marines are coming. We need to retreat!"

Scott's expression remained indifferent. He replied coldly, "Got it."

He swung his sword casually, sending a sharp blade of light slashing toward the wardrobe. The cabinet shattered into splinters, scattering across the floor.

"No one? Did I sense wrong?"

Scott frowned thoughtfully, grabbed the valuables among the debris, and turned to leave.

After some time, a thin hand emerged from the ruins, trembling. Then an arm, and finally, a person.

The figure was a young man with blond hair and delicate features, though his face bore a hint of immaturity. However, his eyes had lost the vigor of youth, replaced by overwhelming sorrow and hatred.

This young man didn't entirely belong to this world. Half of his memories were foreign. In his previous life, he was an ordinary employee . A freak accident involving an out-of-control dump truck had sent him hurtling into this new world.

It was only his second day here, and he had just begun to understand the world he was in—a world of One Piece. He had even set a goal: to become a great pirate.

But unlike the romanticized portrayal in the anime, real pirates were nothing like that.

They were inhumane.

Cruelty, evil, and madness defined them.

They were the scum of the seas, a blight upon the world.

Now, he knelt before his slain grandfather—a kind, gentle man he had known for only two days in this new life. When the pirates attacked, his grandfather had hidden him in an underground compartment beneath the wardrobe. Though it was large enough for both of them, the old man chose to stay outside, fearing that two presences would give them away. He even prepared treasures to placate the pirates.

But his efforts were in vain.

The flames crackled as the young man carried his grandfather's lifeless body in his arms, staggering out of the house in a daze.

Serily Town, once peaceful and serene, had turned into a living nightmare.

The pirates had come and gone like locusts, taking everything of value: treasures, food, and even women and children. In a world where slavery existed, women and children were valuable commodities.

Blood flowed like rivers, and the once-pristine streets were littered with the dead. Fires raged as anguished cries echoed through the night. The pungent smell of blood and burning kerosene filled the air, assaulting his senses.

The young man stumbled through the chaos like a lifeless puppet, the horrific scene overwhelming his mind. Finally, he collapsed, unable to endure it any longer.

"Ugh..."

He vomited uncontrollably, as though his stomach were bottomless, trying to expel everything within—even his soul.

As if moved by the tragedy, the sky darkened, and heavy rain began to fall amid thunder and lightning. The downpour extinguished the flames, but it could not quench the rage burning in the young man's heart.

He stopped vomiting and raised his head weakly, his mind racing.

This was the world of One Piece. A world brimming with endless possibilities.

There were countless avenues to power:

Martial arts like the Six style

Swordsmanship and firearms skills

Magical Devil Fruits, categorized as Logia, Zoan, and Paramecia

Unique races like the Giants, Fish-men, Mink Tribe, and Longarm Tribe

But not everyone had equal opportunity. Born an ordinary human, he lacked the innate advantages of other races. And Devil Fruits? Those required either immense luck or wealth.

Only one path remained for him: mastering physical combat and swordsmanship.

As a child of a humble family, his best option would be to join the Marines.

"Ding... Strong desire detected. Reputation System unlocked."

"When reputation reaches the required level, you may draw a reward."

"Current progress: 0/100."

The sudden system announcement startled him. It seemed he wasn't entirely without help in this world.

However, unlike other transmigrator systems, this one was unusually barebones. No starting benefits, no shop to exchange points for items. Just a single progress bar reading "0/100."

"Since this is the first activation, the system requires mental energy to initialize. Host, please prepare."

"10."

"9."

"Wait! I'm not ready!"

He panicked. The area was still dangerous—what if pirates returned during activation?

"8."

The system continued its countdown, ignoring his protests. Desperately, he scanned the area for a safe spot
