Chapter 46: Chapter 46 Logia Is Often The One Who Dies The Fastest
Lucifer and the others stayed on Sky Island for ten days to allow Enel to recuperate.
After recovering from his injuries, he immediately set sail and left Sky Island.
The Nether descended from the sky, and the strong winds on both sides whizzed past, making the pirate flag flutter.
"Yeah hahaha, is this the Blue Planet?" Enel stood at the bow of the ship, spread his arms wide, looked at the endless sea, and laughed arrogantly.
"Hey, Captain, are there really as many monsters in the sea as you said?" Enel turned around, looked at Lucifer, and asked.
"Ah, that's right, there are countless monsters in the sea." Lucifer took a sip of red wine.
"At present, there are probably tens of thousands of people who could defeat you with one hand."
Of course, the real number wasn't that high. Lucifer just wanted to let Enel know that there were dangerous figures lurking in the sea, so he shouldn't be too cocky.
Enel's biggest flaw was his arrogance. He believed that with the power of the Goro Goro no Mi (Thunder-Thunder Fruit), he would be invincible. What he didn't realize was that, in the Grand Line, those with Logia abilities often die the quickest.
Some Logia users mistakenly believe that their elementalization can prevent attacks, but that's a foolish assumption. In front of advanced Armament Haki users, elemental abilities are useless. In fact, turning into an element only exposes more of one's vital points, making them more vulnerable.
When some Logia users face Haki users, they foolishly allow themselves to take attacks, thinking they are safe, and only realize their mistake too late.
"Master the power I taught you as soon as possible. Only by mastering it can you gain a solid footing in this sea," Lucifer said.
Enel had already mastered Observation Haki at the Grandmaster level, but he had yet to learn Armament Haki. Lucifer had already explained the cultivation method to him, and with his aptitude, it wouldn't take long for him to master it.
"I understand."
In front of Lucifer, Enel dared not disobey, and he nodded obediently.
The Nether descended rapidly. When it was about a thousand meters from the sea, its speed slowed dramatically, and it finally landed smoothly on the water.
The ship touched down with only a slight splash, remaining steady.
"Let's go, set sail, and find some prey to play with."
Lucifer gave the order, eager for some action.
It had been a while since he killed anyone, and his killing points hadn't risen, which made him feel uncomfortable.
When Cavendish heard this order, a chill ran down his back. He hadn't seen the captain kill anyone for over half a month, and he had almost forgotten that his captain was an extremely bloodthirsty monster.
"I don't know which unlucky fool is going to be in trouble this time," Cavendish muttered, silently mourning some pirate or Marine who was yet to face their fate.
On the endless sea, two pirate ships were engulfed in flames, thick smoke billowing into the sky.
Corpses were scattered across the decks, while dozens of surviving pirates were chained and kneeling, dejected, on the deck.
Nearby, a Marine warship was docked.
A Marine Rear Admiral stood at the bow, smoking a cigar. His saber was still drawn, and blood dripped from its edge.
"Carl Vados, Rear Admiral, all members of the Hound Pirates have been arrested," a Marine colonel reported, walking behind him.
"We've counted them all—captain and the main officers of the Hound Pirates are all in custody!"
"Well done!" The Rear Admiral nodded solemnly, his face expressionless.
"These pirates are the scum of the sea. Every one we eliminate saves one more innocent. When I report back, I'll request a commendation for you."
The colonel knew that the real credit belonged to the Rear Admiral, who had personally dealt with the Hound Pirates' captain. Without him, they wouldn't have been able to capture the pirates.
At that moment, one of the soldiers monitoring the sea suddenly shouted.
"Rear Admiral Carl Vados, a pirate ship has been spotted off to the right, and it's heading straight toward us!"
"Nani? How dare they come straight to us? This is too arrogant!" The Rear Admiral snapped, his anger rising. "Immediately confirm which pirate group they belong to!"
"I've never seen their flag before. It must be a newly formed crew," the observer said, swaying as he peered through binoculars at the approaching pirate ship. He focused on the flag, then his eyes shifted toward the ship's bow.
Suddenly, he froze, his hands beginning to tremble.
"That... that person is... Impossible! Why is he here?"
The observer's voice was shaky, and sweat poured down his forehead.
"What's the matter? Who is it?" The Rear Admiral noticed the unease in his subordinate.
"It's Lucifer! The Demon Lucifer!" The observer screamed, trembling in fear. "Lucifer, the one on the Marine HQ's most-wanted list, is approaching us!"
"Lucifer?!!!" The Rear Admiral's pupils widened in shock. He quickly grabbed the binoculars and looked.
Sure enough, a young, handsome face appeared in his view. A young man, the type that women from rich families would fawn over.
But to the Rear Admiral, this was no man—this was a monster.
Lucifer's name had been spreading throughout the Marine ranks, and everyone had heard of his crimes.
