"Oh, my hands are sore."

Lucifer flicked his wrist and sighed.

"Yes, Captain, you're right, but I was wrong."

The corners of Enel's mouth twitched. He gritted his teeth and nearly jumped out of his skin with every word he spoke.

"I beat you up, and now you're blaming me?"

Just how monstrous is this guy?

You're as strong as a beast and can crush mountains with a single swing of your hands, but now your hands hurt?

What's the joke here?

Enel had come to realize the kind of monster his captain really was.

Not only is he powerful, but his heart is as cold as a stone!

If you don't want to get hurt, you better stay obedient.

Just then, Cavendish and Baby 5 returned.

Judging by the fact that they came back empty-handed, it was clear they hadn't found the Golden City.

The Golden City had been buried under the island clouds for centuries, and the people of Sky Island had failed to find it for hundreds of years. So, it was no surprise that Cavendish and the others couldn't locate it either.

Cavendish and Baby 5 entered the palace, immediately noticing Enel sitting in the corner, silently licking his wounds.

"Captain, what... what happened? Has the training finished?"

Cavendish analyzed the situation at a glance.

Enel's expression was the same as always, but it was clear he had been through something.

"Ah, yes, after some 'persuasion' from me, Enel has agreed to join."

"From now on, he'll be the fourth member of the Nether Pirates."

Lucifer said casually.

"Ah, that's great news."

Cavendish's mouth twitched as he fought back a laugh.

Being a professional pirate, Cavendish didn't laugh easily, but this situation was hard to resist.

He could already imagine the methods Lucifer had used to 'convince' Enel.

Looking at the sorry state of Enel, Cavendish couldn't help but feel a little sorry for the guy.

The god who once held great power and pride, now reduced to licking his wounds like a beaten dog.

It was pathetic, really.

"Alright, to celebrate Enel joining, let's have a feast!"

Lucifer ordered.

"Sura, prepare the food and drink."

"Yes, Master Lucifer."

Priest Shura saluted respectfully and left immediately.

Soon, the palace servants brought an abundance of food and wine, and the celebration continued into the next day.

The following day:

"Hey, hey, Captain, are you really not going to search for the Golden City? There's so much treasure there!"

Cavendish couldn't let go of the thought of discovering the Golden City.

He was still hoping to be the first to find it. After all, if he could do that, he'd win the favor of women all over the world.

"Golden City? Does Sky Island have such a thing?"

Enel was also curious now.

After a good night's rest, Enel regained some of his confidence.

Though he didn't dare to be disrespectful in front of Lucifer, he still referred to himself as a god when talking to others.

"Oh? Don't you know? Aren't you the god of Sky Island?"

Cavendish raised an eyebrow in surprise.

Enel's face darkened. He wanted to strike Cavendish down for questioning him, but he didn't dare do so in front of Lucifer.

"400 years ago, the Golden City was brought to Sky Island by the soaring ocean current, then it was covered by island clouds."

"Of course, you can't find it on the island's surface. The Golden City is beneath the island cloud."

Lucifer explained flatly.

"Really?"

"Then I'll go see it right now."

Cavendish didn't ask how Lucifer knew. He simply accepted that his captain was a man of great mystery and had access to a lot of hidden knowledge.

Sky Island exists, and there's an Enel here, so it was only natural that Lucifer would know all about it—and the Golden City.

Enel was also eager to go. He loved gold.

Having already discovered the metal on Sky Island, Enel had declared it to be the domain of the gods.

In his eyes, only gods were worthy of gold.

With Lucifer's direction, Enel, Cavendish, and the priest began searching beneath the island clouds.

Before long, they discovered the Golden City.

A city entirely made of gold left everyone stunned, marveling at the ingenuity of ancient humans.

Cavendish, full of excitement, had Baby 5 take countless photos of him in front of the Golden City.

Once the photos spread, the whole world would know that the legendary Golden City was real. And Cavendish would be the first to discover it, which meant he would become famous worldwide.

By then, women would be flocking to him.

"I'm about to be swarmed by beautiful women."

"Lord Cavendish, can I marry you?"

"How handsome, Lord Cavendish."

"Peerless handsome man, the most beautiful man in the world."

Cavendish stood proudly atop a golden building, lost in his daydreams, smiling like an idiot.

"Hey, hey, is this guy an idiot?"

"It looks like it. There's no doubt about it."

"Why would Lord Lucifer choose such a fool as his subordinate?"

The four priests nearby rolled their eyes and muttered to each other.

Even Enel found Cavendish's behavior unreliable.

The captain is a ruthless monster, yet the crew is filled with idiots. Did he really want to join this pirate group?

Enel regretted it for a moment, but then thought of Lucifer's terrifying power and immediately suppressed his urge to run.

Soon after, Enel ordered the four Sky Island gods to lead the workers in transporting the gold from the Golden City to the palace.

They also dispatched guards to protect the city.

Lucifer had already made it clear that he wasn't interested in the Golden City and didn't want to be the god of Sky Island. As a result, Enel would still rule over Sky Island.

Naturally, Enel regarded the Golden City as his personal property, even though he would soon leave with Lucifer. But for now, this would remain his kingdom.
