One Piece: I'm Invincible

Chapter 16: Meal for 100 people

"You bastard!" Krieg rushed back in from outside, throwing a punch at Clover. Clover stood still, calmly watching the fist fly toward him without flinching.

In the next moment, Luffy appeared in front of Clover and blocked Krieg's punch. "You! Don't you dare lay a hand on my crewmate."

Bang!

The sound of their fists colliding echoed throughout the restaurant.

"Chief Krieg! I brought you here with the promise you wouldn't do anything! This isn't what we agreed on!" Gin shouted as he rushed in behind Krieg.

"Shut up! Get the chefs to prepare food for a hundred men immediately!" Krieg shouted, still locked in a stalemate with Luffy.

"Stop dreaming! Like hell we will!" Paddy shouted in response. The other chefs, faces set in anger, armed themselves with knives and utensils. But unlike the rest, Sanji silently lit a cigarette and headed toward the kitchen.

"Hey, Sanji! What do you think you're doing?" Paddy yelled after him.

"I'm going to cook. There are still a hundred starving men out there," Sanji replied.

"What!?" Everyone was shocked at his words.

"That's right," Krieg grinned, but his smile vanished as the chefs surrounded Sanji, knives at the ready.

"Are you betraying us, Sanji? Krieg already attacked after eating, and you're still going to cook for them?" one of the chefs shouted.

"We're not letting you into the kitchen! We can't stand by and let you act like this any longer!"

Sanji spread his arms wide, standing firm. "Go ahead, if you want to stop me, do it."

He looked around at the stunned faces of everyone in the room. "I know the guy is a wicked criminal, but that doesn't matter to me. I don't care about the consequences of feeding him…"

"If someone's hungry, it's a chef's job to feed them," Sanji declared.

Nobody could understand Sanji's actions. Maybe only Clover and Zeff could relate to the feeling—the agony of hunger that never seemed to end.

As Sanji finished speaking, Paddy punched him in the back of the head, almost knocking him out. "Drag him to the back! Sanji, you're always sneaking out the back door to help those people we turn away."

"Whether you're right or I'm right doesn't matter right now. You messed up this time, and I'm not going to let you screw it up again," Paddy said, walking toward the stairs. He pulled a large object wrapped in cloth from a cabinet. "Luckily, it's just one opponent. Even Krieg can't handle us. This is a sea restaurant, after all—we're used to pirates causing trouble."

"Are you full now, Krieg? How about some steel for dessert?!" Paddy unwrapped the object to reveal a prawn-shaped cannon. "Have a taste of this! Food Poison Cannonball!"

"Luffy!" Clover quickly pulled Luffy aside, just in time to avoid the cannon shot. Otherwise, Luffy might have ended up bouncing the cannonball right back at Paddy.

Boom!

The cannonball struck Krieg directly, blowing apart the door and filling the room with smoke.

A normal person would have died under that kind of blast. The chefs grinned in satisfaction, but Clover knew better—he knew the law of "smoke without harm."

"Oops, I might have broken the door. The boss is going to yell at me again," Paddy said proudly.

"It's fine; it was for the restaurant's safety."

"Yeah, just a few minor damages," the chefs agreed, smiling.

"What about the rest of the crew on the ship? What are you going to do about them?" Sanji asked, getting up from the ground.

"Just pour some butter on them and fry 'em up."

"That would be tasty," Krieg's voice came from within the smoke. As it cleared, Krieg emerged unharmed, his armor having absorbed the blast. Everyone stared in shock.

Krieg's armor opened, revealing multiple guns. "You dumb cook! Is this the kind of 'dessert' you serve? This restaurant sucks! I'm pissed off now!" Krieg roared as bullets began to spray from his armor.

Clover instinctively pulled Luffy and ducked behind a table. After they were safely behind cover, Clover realized Luffy wasn't scared at all.

"Oh, right," Clover thought, "he could've just reflected the bullets with his devil fruit abilities."

But the chefs weren't so lucky. Many were hit and collapsed with gunshot wounds.

"You've got guns all over your body?!" Luffy shouted after the shooting stopped.

Gin lay on the ground, his face twisted in pain. He clearly didn't want this to happen, especially after Sanji had saved him.

After finishing his attack, Krieg's armor closed up like a machine, and he removed his gloves.

Clover's eyes gleamed. The gloves were adorned with diamonds—one on each finger, about two or three centimeters wide, and a larger one on the back of the hand.

"I want that hand," Clover said, eyeing Krieg's gauntlet greedily.

"Don't resist me! I'm the strongest! My steel arms are more powerful than anyone else's, my super alloy body is harder than anything, and my diamond fists can destroy everything! Plus, I command a fleet of fifty ships and five thousand men, and I've never lost a battle!" Krieg shouted, boasting as he blocked a shell. "I'm the man most fit to be called a leader!"

"If I tell you to prepare food, just do it! No one is allowed to defy me!"

Just then, Zeff appeared, carrying a large sack over his shoulder. He tossed it in front of Krieg. "Here. Enough food for a hundred people. Take it back to your ship."

It turned out that Zeff hadn't appeared earlier because he'd been preparing the food.

"Boss Zeff!" The chefs were shocked. This man had just shot up the place, and yet Zeff had still gone and made him food?

"What's that old man doing? It's dangerous!" Luffy said, looking at Zeff.

When Krieg heard Zeff's name, however, he broke out in a cold sweat. "You... Are you Zeff the Red-Leg?"
