Chapter 591: Army general!
As time passed, the forces stationed at the Red Line by the World Government finally arrived.
An army of at least 200,000 men arrived at the battlefield's edge, their overwhelming numbers forming a massive, imposing military formation that drew everyone's attention.
The coalition forces looked shocked, while those on the World Government's side were filled with joy, clearly believing they had been saved.
At the forefront of the army stood the highest-ranking military power of the World Government's ground and air forces, along with several officials.
Two generals, one from the ground forces and one from the air forces, stood side by side—both able to dominate most battlefields in the world. But here, in Mary Geoise, this massive battlefield could only be influenced by them on a local scale.
"Hmm..." The ground forces general glanced at the battlefield and sighed, "This is one intense battle. After this wave, I doubt many Celestial Dragons will be left alive."
"Speaking of which... they're really underestimating us. They only left some small fry here, while the big shots are probably all fighting the Five Elders. Do they really expect those old fossils to pull off some miracle? By the way, where are our Navy colleagues? I'd love to chat with them about what it's like to slap the Five Elders in the face."
"Decius, focus. I don't want to be cleaning up your corpse later," the air force general standing beside him said with a stern look, gazing at the burning Mary Geoise.
In a war of this scale, even someone as powerful as them could lose their life if they weren't careful.
"Zogg, relax. It's not that easy to kill us," Decius chuckled confidently.
It wasn't arrogance, just self-assurance. As one of the strongest figures on the seas, it would take more than a minor misstep to kill him. Besides, he didn't sense any threats powerful enough to endanger them. And with 200,000 soldiers behind them, plus reinforcements arriving steadily, they had little to fear.
"The World Government's reinforcements...!" The coalition forces looked on grimly at the massive army that had suddenly entered the battlefield.
For them, this was undoubtedly bad news.
Boom—boom—
Suddenly, a series of heavy footsteps echoed from within the World Government's army.
The unusual sound immediately drew the attention of the coalition forces. As they watched, tall, burly figures emerged from the ranks and moved to the front of the formation, standing behind Decius and Zogg.
It was 200 Pacifistas.
Seeing the new model Pacifistas appear, the coalition forces felt a sense of suffocating pressure. After all, they had obtained information about these war machines from Vegapunk and knew how terrifying they could be in combat.
"Should we begin the attack?" A World Government official overseeing the Pacifista unit asked, looking to the two generals for guidance.
"No rush, the tricky ones are coming," Decius said, his gaze fixed on the distance.
Two figures were rapidly approaching from afar.
Standing on a large flying structure, Borsalino had his hands in his pockets and glanced at Fujitora, speaking slowly, "That guy's tough, with so many troops, it won't be easy. Let's deal with his men first."
Fujitora, who knew Decius' background, nodded in agreement. His hand gently moved to the hilt of his cane-sword, slowly drawing it out.
As the blade emerged from its sheath, deep purple gravitational waves began to coil around it.
Fujitora's eyes opened slightly, revealing his whites. He wasn't sure if this next attack would thin the enemy's ranks, but it was a rare opportunity to weaken them.
With his sword fully drawn, a deep purple spiral of gravity shot skyward.
Moments later, the sky was painted red with fire.
A massive meteor, engulfed in flames, broke through the clouds, plummeting toward the World Government's forces on the ground.
"A meteor!?" someone exclaimed.
"It's coming in fast... right for us..."
"Oh man, going all out right from the start—those Navy guys really are ruthless," Decius said dramatically, looking up at the massive meteor as it hurtled toward their formation.
Despite his exaggerated tone, there was no sign of panic on his face. In fact, he remained calm as the meteor approached.
"Well then, let's see how 200,000 soldiers can bolster my power!"
As he spoke, Decius clenched his fist and stepped forward. An invisible wave of power quickly spread over the 200,000 troops behind him.
As the wave covered the army, an invisible force seemed to connect Decius to his soldiers.
"200,000 Fist!" he shouted, and with those words, his fist, which had been charging up, smashed toward the falling meteor.
With a deafening rumble, his massive punch collided with the meteor.
For a moment, it was as if time had frozen—the enormous meteor suddenly stopped in midair, defying all expectations.
Everyone on the ground froze, their eyes locked on the suspended meteor.
Both the World Government's forces and the coalition were stunned. It was a scene that defied all logic.
Moments later, the meteor seemed to be crushed by an invisible hand. It shattered into countless fragments, which scattered across the sky.
"Decius, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit user of the Tether-Tether Fruit. He can enhance his abilities as more soldiers join his formation... In a war like this, he's a real pain," Borsalino said, his expression serious as he watched the shattered meteor.
The Paramecia-type fruits were always full of strange and unique powers.
With Decius' ability, he could be as weak as a mid-level officer without his men. But with enough soldiers, his power would increase exponentially. With 200,000 soldiers at his command, his strength was at its peak—but it wasn't the limit of his fruit.
"Since we've got some esteemed guests here, let's give them a proper welcome," Decius said.
At his command, the 200 Pacifistas moved into attack formation.
They raised their arms, palms aimed toward the battlefield.
Beep—beep—
A sharp sound echoed as bright lights began to shine from the Pacifistas' palms.
Zap! Zap! Zap!
Highly destructive beams of light shot toward the battlefield.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Explosions erupted across the battlefield.
But the coalition wasn't entirely helpless. As soon as the Pacifistas launched their attack, they responded with slashes and abilities of their own, trying to fend off the beams.
However, the Pacifistas felt nothing in response. As machines, their assault didn't pause.
Beep—beep—
Zap! Zap!
More and more beams fired from the Pacifistas' palms.
The coalition forces had no choice but to pull out every trick they had to block the relentless barrage.
As Fujitora sheathed his sword, he turned to Borsalino. After all, lasers were Borsalino's signature move.
Under his gaze, Borsalino smirked and said, "Never thought I'd see the day I'd be attacked with lasers."
