One Piece: Gold And Fire

"Are you sure this is fine ?" Hocker asked with a sweat drop. He was hesitating to bring this up but he had to see how things were progressing. 

"Don't worry, it's their fault that this happened, so they should take responsibility as well." Ragna waved Hockers concerns off with the back of his hands while he looked at many pirates working together to rebuild the area of the town which their captain destroyed. 

"Hey you, the one on top of the Lion. Stop lazing around and get to work, that fucking animal is more useful than you retard..." Ragna saw one of the members of Buggy Pirate just ordering the Lion around while himself not doing anything. 

"But they are pirates, don't you think that we should at least call marine." Hocker though wasn't chill. 

"Don't worry, I'll make sure that they don't do anything to the town. You have my word." Ragna flashed Hocker a grin and went back on instructing the pirate. Even he had zero idea how to build a building. He was no builder. But he was there only to motivate the Pirates and make sure they didn't slack off. 

This all was happening after 2 days since he had his fight with Buggy. Many things have changed and a lot has happened in this time. 

The fight against Buggy was anti-climatic if anything, he didn't expect a big pirate like Buggy to be a complete coward with not much power. Though 15 million might not be that big of a bounty but still he was disappointed. 

As for Buggy's plea to let him go. Well, Ragna thought about it and ultimately agreed. Though he was looking for the reward from Buggy's bounty, however, money was never the reason he decided to became a bounty hunter in the first place. 

He became a bounty hunter to meet strong pirates to fight and to find the people responsible for his mother's death. 

Seeing how weak Buggy was, there was no point actually fighting him to death, he wasn't getting any experience fighting a weak guy, not to mention the reason he was looking for someone to fight was to test out his sword's skills which were completely useless against Buggy. 

In return for sparing Buggy, Ragna took all of his treasure and even put himself including his entire pirate crew on town reconstruction. 

Neat...

Woh, there are so many powerful people in the world...

Turn out that Buggy wasn't just any con artist, he was a very knowledgeable con artist. 

Besides monetary gains and free Labour, Ragna also learns a lot about the sea all around the world from Buggy. 

"It's been a misunderstanding boys, now everything is solved so bring out the barrels and food. It's time for a banquet..." Buggy shouted once Ragna finally let him go. He was quick to dismiss all the fighting and console his pirate group. 

Of course, Ragna took participated in the banquet. While he was with Buggy, the clown did everything to make Ragna wasn't dissatisfied with him. 

So Ragna used that time right and decided to ask away anything Byggy knew about the sea. Though he didn't believe a word which came out of this joker's mouth but to ease his boredom or just to get anything useful out of him, he listened to all of his stories.

He learned a lot of things from Buggy's stories, how many were true and how many were made up, only Buggy knew, but it was a good time pass. Ragna has to say that Buggy had a vivid imagination because some things he said were hard to believe. 

But he listen nonetheless, in this world where there exists no form of entertainment, the only way to pass once time is through stories. 

It was great honestly, from underwater Fishman Island to an entire country up in the clouds. He had much to say. 

Once the party was over, finally it was time to get to the reward of this entire ordeal for Ragna. Buggy took him to his treasure. Though if his face was anything to go by, he could be doing anything but that. 

"That's all my treasure." He said, struggling to maintain that fake smile on his face.

"Are you sure that it's more than 15 Million ?" I asked with a raised eyebrow. The treasure didn't look like it was more than 15 million to him. 

Turn out that Buggy was hiding money, Ragna learned that after counting it, definitely Buggy wasn't expecting that Ragna would be counting each and every beli, and got another beating before he took all the tressure. 

"Hmm... finally some surplus of money here." Ragna grinned seeing all the treasure in front of him. From Beli to Gold, Buggy had accumulated quite a tressure in all this time. Now all this was his. 

Of course, he wasn't planning on taking all of it, he planned to allocate enough money to reconstruct the town as well. 

"Okay system, go ahead and take that remaining 9 million you were asking for..." Ragna smiled and said...

Only for nothing to happen. 

"Hmm ?" he waited but there was no reaction. 

"System ?" 

"..." 

Nothing was happening, making him confused. So he went up to the money and took the money in his hand to upgrade the system. 

Maybe physical contact was needed?

But once again nothing happened. Nothing was happening. He was so confused by now. 

And upon wasting his next 10 minutes figuring out what was going on, he finally remembered something. 

"Where did the gold hook go ?" He suddenly realized that the first time the system activated was when he fought against Captain Golden Hook. 

He ripped apart the golden hook on his hand and beat him. After beating the pirate he remembers the system getting activated but he can't remember where the golden hook he got from the pirate went after that. 

"Gold..." He pondered and looked around, anything in Buggy's treasure which was made of gold. Though he wasn't sure but he thought that maybe it was gold that the system needed. Possibly seeing beli wasn't working and when the system activated it showed that he already had paid 1 million beli. 

The moment he touched the gold again, the familiar system notification came back. 

[System Activation Require 10 Million]

[8.9 Million left]

Ragna saw it and knew that he was right. It was the gold which activated his system. 

Back then he touched the golden hook of that pirate captain and that was when his system first responded. 

"Why does this system only take gold though ?" He can't help but sigh. 

Looking around him he found many golden items in Buggy's tressure and thus he went around and took all the golden items he could get his hand on. 

[6.1 Million Left to Activate the System...]

"Argaa, irritating." Ragna was expecting that he could activate the system in one go but guess that ain't happening. 

"Even after having more than 10 Million right in front of me, I can't open the system... sigh" Ragna shook his head. 

"Hey system, mind telling me why you only take gold ?" He asked in frustration and disappointment, not actually expecting an answer. 

[System requires universally usable currency to work]

But he was taken aback upon getting an answer. He really wasn't expecting one in the first place.

"Okay..." What else he could say at that time, sighing he just left.

"Are you sure that you wanna give us all this money ?" Asked Hocker and the Mayor of the village whose name was Boodle. Both Boodle and Hocker were friends if their familiar white hair if the wrinkles didn't give that away. 

"Yeah, consider it a way for me to repay you for helping me out. It's enough money for not only reconstructing the town from all this damage but there will be enough left for you to build a pet shop as well." Ragna smiled and replied.

"I told you, you don't have to do this..." Hocker was still not planning on getting money from Ragna for some reason. 

"Too late old man. I already have told those pirates to make a pet shop for you. So just deal with it..." Ragna shrugged while pushing all the cash left after his system took the gold from Buggy's treasure, and he gave it all to Hocker and Boodle to handle. 

Ragna ended up giving the money to the town after knowing that he couldn't use the money directly to open his system. There was no gold shop in the town either to exchange the money for gold. 

"Sigh, young people are hard to deal with nowadays..." Hocker let out a sigh to which Ragna just smiled with containment. 

"Hahaha... that it means to be young my friend." Doodle laughs and back pat on Hocker. 

"Are you leaving now ?" Hocker asked.

"Yup, it's time for me to be going. Make sure to use the snail I gave you if in case those Pirates give you tough times. I'll take care of them." Ragna said and with that, all said he was ready to depart once again on his journey to find another pirate. 

He got his boat back so now it was time to get going.

"Come back whenever you want, you have done much for this town. We are all grateful..." Both Hocker and Boodle wanted to give Ragna a proper farewell by bringing the entire town and even throwing a party but Ragna denied it.

So here they were, only Hocker and Boodle sending him off. Of course, Buggy and his crew were also there but they were more happy that Ragna was going. 

Ragna smiled and went off...

"Alright, time to go
