Old Blood at Hogwarts

Chapter 70 The Marauder's Land

On Saturday morning, Aaron had breakfast with Harry and Ron.

"Are you all ready?" Aaron whispered to Harry.

"Yes." Harry replied, "We will set off after breakfast."

At this time, Aaron and Harry noticed Hermione on the other side of the table casting suspicious glances at them, and immediately stopped talking.

After finishing breakfast and walking out of the auditorium, Harry said to Ron: "Goodbye! Let's talk when you come back!"

Ron smiled, winked at him, and headed for the front door.Aaron and Harry started to go upstairs along the marble staircase in the front hall.

Aaron followed Harry and climbed to the fourth arm in one breath. They walked to a statue of a one-eyed, hunchbacked witch halfway down the corridor on the fourth floor. Harry took out a folded piece of parchment from his bag.

"Is this the 'Marauder's Map'?" Aaron asked.

"Yes. We need to see if there is anyone around first?" Harry squatted behind the one-eyed witch statue and spread out the map.It was a large, square, very old piece of parchment with nothing written on it.

Harry took out his wand, touched the parchment lightly and said, "I solemnly swear that I have done no good."

Thin lines of ink, as thin as a spider's web, immediately began to appear where the wand had just touched. These lines meet and cross each other, extending to every corner of the parchment. Then writing began to appear on the top of the parchment, large, curved green characters. They were:

Auxiliary Supplies for Magical Mischief Makers

Gentlemen Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs

Proudly presenting the Marauder's Map

This map shows all the details of Hogwarts Castle and its various grounds. But the really remarkable things are the tiny dots of ink that move along the map, each labeled with a name in tiny letters.Aaron was so surprised that he leaned over to take a closer look.A small dot of ink in the upper left corner shows Professor Dumbledore pacing the study; Filch's cat Mrs. Norris is wandering the third floor; and Peeves, the prankster ghost, is hopping around in the trophy room; A small dot was moving towards where he was, and the words under the small dot read: "Neville Longbottom".

"No one around? We need to move quickly."

Harry said, tapped the map again and said, "Prank over!" The map immediately turned into a blank parchment.

Harry carefully rolled up the map and just stuffed it into his bag when he saw Neville turning the corner.

"Harry! I forgot you're not going to Hogsmeade either!"

"Hey, Neville." Harry quickly left the statue, "What are you going to do?"

"No plans." Neville shrugged, "Want to play crackle and explosion cards? Aaron can come too."

"Oh - no - not now - we -" Harry faltered.

"We are going to the library." Aaron said quickly.

"By the way. I forgot. I have to go to the library to do the vampire paper assigned by Lupine." Harry said.

"I'll go with you!" Neville said easily, "I didn't write it either!"

"Oh...wait a minute, yes, I remembered, I finished writing it last night!" Harry quickly changed his words.

"Great, you can help me!" Neville said happily, a look of urgency appeared on his round face, "I don't know anything about garlic - people must eat it, still……"

Neville suddenly gasped, stopped talking, and looked over Harry's shoulder behind him.

Aaron and Harry looked back and saw Snape walking from behind.Neville quickly stepped behind Harry.

"What are you three doing here?" Snape stopped and looked at the three people in front of him in turn. "It's quite strange to meet here."

Snape's dark eyes looked towards the corridor on both sides of them, and then his eyes fell on the one-eyed witch.

"We didn't - meet here." Harry said, "We just - happened to meet here."

"Really?" Snape said, "You always have a habit of showing up in unexpected places, Potter. You rarely come here without any reason... I suggest you go back to Gryffindor House. Go, you should be there."

Aaron, Harry and Neville left without another word.As they turned the corner, Aaron looked back and saw Snape stroking the one-eyed witch's head with one hand, examining it carefully.

Aaron, Harry and Neville return to Gryffindor Tower together. When they reached the Fat Lady, Aaron and Harry exchanged glances.

"Oh, crap," Harry said suddenly, "I left my paper on vampires in the library. I have to go back and get it."

"You said that, I also remembered it." Aaron pretended at this time, "I have a library book that I forgot to return."

"Then let's go to the library together." Harry said, "I'll get the papers, and you can return the books."

"Okay." Aaron said.

"Then let me go with you." Neville said, "I can help Harry find papers together."

"No need." Harry said quickly, "My paper should be on the table. I remember where it is. I don't need to spend too much time looking for it. Aaron can help me."

"Yes, I will help Harry." Aaron also said, "You go back to the common room first, Neville. We will be back in a moment."

"Okay then," Neville said, "I'll wait for you in the common room."

Then Aaron told Neville the password and turned back with Harry.

As soon as he got out of the sight of the dwarf security guard, Harry quickly took out the map, touched it with his wand, and said, "I solemnly swear that I have done no good."

Lines of ink appeared again, and Aaron and Harry hurriedly leaned over to take a look. The corridor on the fourth floor seemed empty. They looked at the map carefully, and finally saw that the dot marked "Severus Snape" was now back in his office, and they breathed a sigh of relief at the same time.

They quickly ran back to the one-eyed witch statue. Harry tapped the statue with his wand and whispered: "Quickly drive!"

The statue's hunchback immediately opened, revealing a hole large enough for a thin man to crawl through.

Harry glanced quickly up and down the corridor, stuffed his bag into the statue, and then climbed in himself.Aaron followed Harry, crawling his head forward into the hole, and then progressed through it.

He slid for quite a long way, which was like a rock slide, and then he hit the cold, wet earth. He stood up and looked around. It was pitch black all around. He raised his wand and muttered, "Lumos!"

The weak fluorescence illuminated the surroundings, and Aaron found himself in a very narrow and low passage.

At this time, Harry found his schoolbag in the stone chute and said to Aaron: "Let's go, there's still a long way to go."

The passage was winding and winding, no different from a rabbit tunnel.Aaron and Harry walked in a hurry, stumbling from time to time due to the uneven ground, holding their wands in front of them all the way.

After about an hour, the passage stretched upward.Aaron and Harry gasped and sped up.

After another 10 minutes, they reached the foot of a broken stone step, which stretched to an invisible place above.

"Almost there," Harry gasped. Then, the two people began to climb up.

Aaron climbed the stairs behind Harry, one hundred, two hundred... He counted as he climbed, but then he lost count.I don't know how long it took, but Harry in front suddenly stopped.Aaron had been paying attention to the soles of his feet and almost bumped into him.

"We're here," Harry whispered back to Aaron.

Aaron looked up and saw that there was no road ahead, and a floor door was covering their heads.

"That's Honeydukes' cellar up there." Harry continued in a low voice, "I'll see if there's anyone outside first. If there's no one, we'll go out."

Harry pushed open the floor door very slowly, peeked out secretly, then turned back to Aaron and said, "There is no one outside, let's go."

Aaron and Harry climbed out of the trap door and closed it gently. This door is integrated with the dusty floor. If you didn't know it in advance, you would never know that there is such a door on the floor.

Aaron looked around and saw that the surroundings were filled with wooden chairs and wooden boxes.Apart from the floor door, there was only a wooden staircase leading to the outside of the cellar.

Aaron and Harry slowly approached the wooden stairs leading upstairs. Here they could hear the voices of various people above, the ringing of bells, and the sound of doors opening and closing.

Harry took out a shining silver cloak from his bag and whispered to Aaron: "We must hide ourselves now." As he said that, he put the cloak on his shoulders.

Immediately, his body disappeared, leaving only his head hanging in the air.

"How are you going to hide yourself?" Harry still remembered Aaron saying that he had a way to hide himself. "If not, you can hide under the cloak with me."

Aaron smiled, took out his wand, and cast the expected magic.

Phantom curse!

This is the magic that Aaron learned last year in order to follow Harry on his night tour, and it is perfectly used here.

Seeing Aaron's disappearing figure, Harry said in surprise: "Are you talking about the Disillusionment Curse? This is a NEWT-level magic! I didn't expect you to be able to use it now! Since you can also become invisible, it's no problem. ." As he spoke, he pulled the invisibility cloak over his head, and his head suddenly disappeared.

Now neither Harry nor Aaron could see the other, but they could hear each other's voices.

Harry was heard whispering: "We'll take the opportunity to go out later when someone comes down to move things. Ron is waiting for us outside Honeydukes."

"Okay." Aaron responded in a low voice, "We can't see each other now, and we will definitely get separated when we get up there. When we go up there, we will go directly to find Ron outside the candy store and meet him there."
