Chapter 1: Chapter 1: A New Beginning
Jason was like any other 16-year-old boy. He had a love for anime, an obsession with gaming, and dreams of escaping his mundane reality into the fantastical worlds he adored. His days were filled with binge-watching Naruto and Marvel shows, imagining himself in the shoes of the most powerful and intricate characters. There was a comfort in the thought of being someone else—someone with meaning, with power. But those fantasies were just that—fantasies. Jason never imagined that life could change so drastically, so violently.
One afternoon, as he walked home from school, lost in thoughts about his favourite characters and the latest episode of Naruto, everything around him seemed so ordinary. The world was peaceful, and Jason was nothing but a teenager with typical problems—homework, bullies, and his own yearning to be more. But then, everything shifted in an instant. He didn't hear the screeching tires or feel the impending danger until it was too late. A truck, speeding far too fast for the crowded street, swerved out of control and slammed into him. The world was a blur of pain, and then—nothing.
For a moment, there was nothing but darkness. A cold emptiness that stretched on endlessly. But as Jason's consciousness began to return, he realized he was no longer in the familiar world he had known. His body felt lighter, as though it wasn't his own, and he could no longer sense the limitations of his human form. He didn't know where he was—until a voice broke through the silence.
"You've had an interesting life, Jason," the voice said, deep and echoing, resonating like thunder in a storm.
Jason tried to respond, but he couldn't. The voice continued, unaffected by his confusion.
"I am God, if you prefer a name for me. You've died. And now, you have a choice. You can rest and fade away, or you can choose a new life. A life filled with adventure, danger, and power."
Jason's mind spun as the words settled in. His heart raced. He had always imagined meeting God—after all, who wouldn't fantasize about it? But this? It was far beyond his wildest thoughts. The voice had said something about a choice.
"What kind of choice?" Jason managed to croak, his voice barely audible.
The voice chuckled, a low, amused sound. "A chance to be reborn in another world. One filled with incredible beings, legends, and villains. You can spin this wheel," the voice said, "and whatever it lands on, that will be your new life. You may even get to retain your memories, and if you play your cards right, you could achieve greatness."
Jason felt his heart pounding in his chest. "Wait, what do you mean greatness?"
The voice grew softer, more coaxing. "The world you're thinking of—the one you loved so much, Naruto—would be a great place to start. You can become a powerful figure. Perhaps even someone like Obito Uchiha. But you must decide now."
Without hesitation, Jason found himself nodding. The idea of being reborn in the Naruto universe, with all his knowledge of it, was too enticing to pass up. Obito Uchiha—he knew everything about him. His life, his transformation, and even his ultimate downfall. But what if Jason could avoid those mistakes? What if he could take Obito's potential to its fullest? The thought filled him with excitement, and a sense of twisted purpose.
"I choose that," Jason said, determination flooding his voice. "Obito Uchiha."
The wheel spun.
