NOVEL NEXT Chapter 47: Origin of Rasengan
The door opened, revealing Kushina in her signature apron. She looked at the familiar kid who had grown quite a bit since the last time she saw him.
"Kira?"
Kira nodded and pointed at his grandfather, "The hokage told my grandpa to take care of your protection while big brother Minato is absent due to war. Nothing too serious."
"Oh, until now, the people who were supposed to take care of my protection were kept a secret from me. Why did he change this ways all of a sudden?" Kushina asked as she motioned them to come inside, to which they obliged.
Kakeru smiled when he heard her question, "It's because I'm homeless. By sending me to take care of your protection, he's indirectly giving me a place to live, but to think that he didn't even ask you for your permission."
"It's fine! You can always tell me about your days when you were a young shinobi, the time when you fought in the second great ninja war and finally, hehe, tell me about Kira's childhood. He used to be so bright a few years ago but then...." the smile on her face vanished as she turned to look at Kira, but the only thing she saw was him glaring at her.
He stood in between his grandpa and Kushina before giving them an ultimatum, "The talks about my childhood are banned."
"Well, why don't we make a deal then? I'll tell you about a secret jutsu that Minato made for me right after the second great ninja war and in return, you'll allow your grandpa to tell me about your childhood." Kushina said with a smile on her face while Kira thought about the offer.
"Fine. But you'll have to tell me today since I'll have to leave Konoha early tomorrow." Kira said as he nodded.
The smile on Kushina's face widened as she turned towards Kakeru, "Uncle Aburame, please wait here for me and think of this as your own house from now on. I'll take Kira to one of my favourite spots."
Saying that, she grabbed Kira's hand and walked out of the house and took him to the place where Mito was originally staying at when she was alive. It was a building that had a helical staircase to the top and a few rooms in the middle.
"You know, after the nine tails was sealed inside me, Lady Mito took me to the terrace of this building and told me something that helped me keep the seal strong.
The uzumaki clan symbol is a helix and two dimentional. To keep the nine tails suppressed, I must fill my seal with love to make it three dimensional. At first, I didn't really understand it, but thanks to Minato, now I do." she said as she placed her hand on her stomach where the eight trigrams seal was placed.
"Is that so..." Kira said as he walked beside her. When she talked about helixes, he could guess which jutsu Minato had created as it was one of the most used Justus in the anime.
Kushina nodded, "Yeah... and one day, Minato cancelled the plan to train in fuinjutsu with me and went off on his own to create this new jutsu . This kinda pissed me off, but it also made me feel like he wanted to distance himself from me.
So guess what I did? I ran away from the people keeping a watch on me and left this building. Oh yeah, I didn't tell you this but this building actually assists in keeping the seal strong.
Well anyways, a lot of things happened and Minato told me that the jutsu he was creating was for me and that it was actually inspired by tailed beast bombs. But do you know what the funny part is?"
"What? Did he give it a dumb name?" Kira asked as he recalled Minato's Rasen-Flash Super-Circle Dance Howl Stage Three Flying Raijin.
"Hahahahahaha how did you guess it right?" Kushina asked as she patted his back before nodding, "Yes, it was super long and since he told me that the jutsu was made for me, I asked him if I could name it and he let me do it. And well... I named it Rasengan and Rasen basically means a helix." she said as she tapped her feet on the stairs under her.
Kira nodded as this was something he didn't know, but he was still curious about something, "Big sister, what did big bro Minato name it though?"
"That thing has a story of it's own, but I guess I'll just tell you the name since the name alone can give you the gist of it. He called it the Ice Pop Inspired Nimbus Jiraiya Twin Whorl Sphere... and I'm very glad that he let me change it's name."
Kira couldn't stop himself from smiling when he heard the name as this was something he totally expected from Minato. The two of them talked for three whole hours, but it was mostly Kushina who was telling him her love story while he patiently listened.

Yes, this chapter is shorter than the others, but I really wanted to include this as it is one of my favourite Naruto chapters.
