Chapter 26: Chapter 26 – The First Day of Evaluations and the Revolution of Ninja Training

The classroom was filled with young prospects, the future of Konoha.

Standing at the front, Sal observed the students with an analytical gaze and a confident smile.

— "Alright, class! Grab your materials. Today, we begin with the theoretical part."

The students quickly picked up their tablets, a reflection of the modernization Sal had introduced to the academy. Learning was now more interactive and dynamic, moving away from the traditional method of mere memorization and repetition.

As Sal began explaining the first lesson of the day, the classroom door slowly creaked open.

Obito Uchiha rushed in, trying not to attract attention—but it was too late.

Sal shot him a quick glance.

— "Obito, you're late."

The boy scratched the back of his head awkwardly.

— "Sorry, sensei… an old lady asked for my help on the way here!"

The class chuckled quietly.

Sal sighed but couldn't help but find it amusing.

If he didn't already know from his past life that Obito had a strangely natural aura that made old people seek his help whenever he was headed somewhere important, he might have considered giving him a punishment.

— "Fine, take your seat. But don't let it happen again."

— "Yes, sensei!" Obito quickly settled into his place.

After the Break – The First Evaluations

After the break, Sal led the students to the academy's training grounds.

— "Now, we will conduct an evaluation to determine your strengths and weaknesses."

The students lined up, anxious and restless.

Sal had prepared four primary tests:

✔ Physical Endurance

✔ Chakra Control

✔ Shuriken Precision

✔ Mental Fortitude (Genjutsu Resistance)

Test Results

✔ Physical Endurance

The students had to run long distances and perform intensive physical exercises.

Top Performers: Maito Gai, Kakashi, Rin, and Asuma.

✔ Chakra Control

Students were challenged to climb trees using only their feet, without their hands.

Top Performers: Rin, Kakashi, Anko, and Kurenai Yuhi.

✔ Shuriken Precision

Students had to hit targets at various angles and distances.

Top Performers: Kakashi, Anko, Rin, and Asuma.

✔ Mental Fortitude (Genjutsu Resistance)

Sal used a mild genjutsu to induce fear and insecurity, testing the students' willpower.

Top Performers: Rin, Kakashi, Anko, and Maito Gai.

After recording the results, Sal analyzed the data carefully.

Rin's performance didn't surprise him—after all, he trained her regularly. But Anko was unexpected.

"Orochimaru is always busy, and I rarely see him training Anko. If she performed this well, it means she has an impressive innate talent. In the original story, this potential was wasted due to trauma… but now, things have changed."

A Revolutionary Training Idea

Before introducing the students to the new training methods, Sal recalled how the idea first came to him.

Some time ago, he had presented his theory to Orochimaru.

— "Orochimaru, have you ever noticed how certain hidden villages naturally develop shinobi who specialize in particular fighting styles?"

Orochimaru raised an intrigued eyebrow.

— "Explain."

Sal unrolled a scroll and drew a map of the major villages.

— "The Cloud Village, for example, produces incredibly fast and resilient shinobi. This isn't just a result of training but also adaptation to an environment filled with high atmospheric electricity. The Mist Village, with its constant humidity and dense fog, naturally fosters experts in stealth and Suiton techniques. The Stone Village, surrounded by unstable rocky terrain, breeds shinobi with absurd endurance and defensive jutsu mastery."

Orochimaru smirked slightly.

— "So, you're suggesting that a ninja's environment directly influences their talent in specific combat styles?"

Sal nodded.

— "Exactly. What if we artificially recreated these environments to train students? If we can simulate these conditions, we could exponentially accelerate their growth. But to make this a reality, I'll need your help."

Orochimaru chuckled.

— "Interesting… And who else is involved in this project?"

Sal smiled.

— "Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki. Minato has a brilliant intellect and near-unmatched mastery of sealing techniques. And Kushina is an Uzumaki—her ability with complex seals will be essential for stabilizing the training environments we want to create."

Orochimaru narrowed his eyes thoughtfully before finally nodding in agreement.

With Orochimaru's knowledge, Minato's genius, and Kushina's sealing mastery, the project was completed in under a year.

Now, Sal was ready to introduce it to the students.

The Five Training Rooms

✔ Raiton Room (Lightning) ⚡

Simulates a continuous thunderstorm, with minor electrical discharges.

Benefits: Enhances physical endurance and refines Raiton chakra control.

✔ Suiton Room (Water) 🌊

A high-humidity environment with submerged pressure simulations.

Benefits: Increases lung capacity and adaptation to aquatic combat.

✔ Doton Room (Earth) 🏔

Simulates increased gravity and unstable rocky terrain.

Benefits: Strengthens physical endurance and improves Doton chakra efficiency.

✔ Katon Room (Fire) 🔥

Simulates extreme heat and low oxygen levels.

Benefits: Trains heat resistance and boosts Katon jutsu potency.

✔ Fuuton Room (Wind) 💨

Simulates cutting winds and low temperatures.

Benefits: Enhances reflexes and chakra control for Fuuton techniques.

The First Testers

— "Now, who wants to be the first to test the rooms?"

The class went silent for a moment.

Then, the most confident students stepped forward.

✔ Kakashi Hatake

✔ Rin Nohara

✔ Maito Gai

✔ Anko Mitarashi

Sal smirked.

— "Excellent. Tomorrow, you'll have your first test in your respective rooms."

Obito crossed his arms.

— "Sensei, this sounds dangerous!"

Sal chuckled.

— "Of course it is. But the ninja path was never meant to be safe."
