While Rinjin was hurrying back to his cell, a serious discussion was taking place in the ANBU guardroom.

"Captain Bakuhatsu, why did you call us all here so suddenly?" one ANBU operative asked.

The ANBU captain, codenamed Bakuhatsu, held a sharp short blade in his hand, standing before six subordinates.

"Here's the situation," Bakuhatsu began. "Earlier, Tsuchiguma mentioned that he was startled by that brat in Cell 233. At first, I didn't think much of it. But just now, I went back with him to check it out.

"When we opened the window, we saw that 233 was lying on his bed, seemingly asleep. I wanted to wake him up and question him, but no matter how much I called, he wouldn't wake up. In fact, he didn't respond at all."

Bakuhatsu's tone grew more severe. "Now, I'm going to inspect that cell. Follow standard protocol."

He pointed to three operatives, including Tsuchiguma. "You three, come with me to conduct the inspection. The rest of you, patrol in turns, but make sure there are always two people in the guardroom. If anything happens, lock down the entire prison immediately!"

"Yes, sir!" the six ANBU responded in unison.

Bakuhatsu drew his blade and held it in a reverse grip, his gaze sweeping over the three operatives in front of him.

"Here's the plan!" he commanded.

Turning to the dark corridor outside the guardroom, Bakuhatsu paused for a moment before continuing, "When we reach Cell 233, Tsuchiguma and I will enter the cell to investigate. You two will guard the corridor on either side to prevent any attacks or riots from 233.

"Remember, this is a critical time! Any disturbance must be suppressed immediately!"

His eyes lingered on Tsuchiguma for a moment. "Tsuchiguma, you've been monitoring 233 for a while. Tell us what you know about him."

Tsuchiguma's brows furrowed beneath his mask. In this moment, he was no longer the laid-back joker but a professional ANBU operative.

"He's incredibly strong," Tsuchiguma began. "I've worked with Lord Sarutobi on missions 3-234. Rin... I mean, 233's close-combat abilities far surpass those of an average jōnin. His strength and speed are terrifying—he can crush a grown man's skull in an instant."

Bakuhatsu frowned deeply. "Anything else?"

"Yes," Tsuchiguma nodded. "This kid has exceptional battlefield adaptability. His split-second decision-making is downright scary."

Bakuhatsu's frown deepened further. As an experienced ANBU captain, he understood one thing very well: in the confined space of a prison cell, the roles of hunter and prey could easily reverse.

This was especially true when dealing with a prisoner who excelled in close combat. The ANBU could easily find themselves at a disadvantage.

What troubled him most was that Rinjin wasn't dead—he was just unresponsive. They couldn't justify taking him out from outside the cell.

Their only option was to open the door and check.

"Damn it! Why is a monster like this being held in a low-security cell?" Bakuhatsu muttered in frustration.

Tsuchiguma, who knew some of the secrets surrounding Rinjin, pursed his lips but said nothing. Even though Bakuhatsu was his superior, there were some things he couldn't reveal without the Hokage's approval.

Time ticked by.

Bakuhatsu suddenly stood up, his eyes fixed on the darkness of the corridor. Gritting his teeth, he ordered, "Move out! We need to figure out what's going on!"

His caution had bought Rinjin valuable time, but his actions were entirely justified. After all, there had been incidents in the past where prisoners feigned death to launch surprise attacks on the ANBU.

Given that they were dealing with dangerous criminals, caution was not just necessary—it was mandatory.

Meanwhile, Rinjin, cloaked in his Slippery Yokai Jutsu, quietly slipped into the guardroom.

Scanning the room, his heart sank.

"Something's off. The numbers don't add up!"

Realizing the urgency, Rinjin quickened his pace, hurrying back to his cell.

He arrived just in time, moments before the four ANBU operatives reached his cell door.

The ANBU team crouched down, huddling together as they whispered their plan.

"Tsuchiguma, I'll go in first. You guard the door and make sure the cell stays secure."

"You two," Bakuhatsu said, addressing the other operatives, "watch the corridor on both sides. If you hear anything unusual, don't act—send a signal to the guardroom immediately!"

With the plan set, Bakuhatsu pulled a long string of keys from his vest pocket.

Rinjin, who had overheard everything, made a snap decision. He silently followed Bakuhatsu, ready to slip into the cell as soon as the door opened.

"Click!"

As the key turned in the lock, the door creaked open.

Bakuhatsu stepped inside, his short blade ready, forming a seal with his free hand. His eyes pierced through the darkness, locking onto Rinjin's motionless form on the bed.

Tsuchiguma, hearing the familiar sound of the lock, froze for a moment. A bad feeling began to creep over him.

Meanwhile, Rinjin slipped in behind Bakuhatsu, moving silently.

Once inside, Rinjin's anxious heart finally began to calm. He quickened his pace slightly, moving past the tense Bakuhatsu to crouch beside the bed and crawl underneath it.

At this point, Rinjin knew his Transformation Jutsu would inevitably be exposed. His only option was to downplay the situation as a child's prank.

After all, Tobirama Senju was about to die at the hands of the Gold and Silver Brothers.

Though the thought left him feeling a bit lonely, he was confident that no one in the village could deduce his true intentions anymore.

With that in mind, Rinjin settled down, feigning sleep beneath the bed.

Bakuhatsu finally reached the bedside, his lantern casting light onto Rinjin's face.

What he saw made his bladder tighten, a sudden urge to urinate shooting through him.

On the bed, Rinjin's eyes were wide open, staring diagonally at him like a stiff, lifeless puppet.

Although he wasn't wearing the eerie smile Tsuchiguma had mentioned, Bakuhatsu swore he saw the boy's eyeballs move just now!

Oh my god! This is terrifying!

Before Bakuhatsu could recover from his fright, a head suddenly popped out from under the bed—it was Rinjin again.

This Rinjin, however, looked much less creepy than the one on the bed. His face was groggy, his eyes squinting against the light.

"Hey, mister, why are you in my room? The toilet's over there—take the bucket and empty it yourself," Rinjin said in an innocent voice.

In the next moment, the Rinjin on the bed exploded with a soft "poof," transforming into a pristine white pillow.

The sound wasn't loud, but it startled the four ANBU operatives nonetheless.

Seeing Rinjin's confused expression, Bakuhatsu's face darkened. A surge of anger welled up inside him.

At that moment, he didn't care about Rinjin's combat prowess or battlefield adaptability. He just wanted to drag the brat out from under the bed and give him a good beating.

And so he did.

With a dark expression, Bakuhatsu grabbed Rinjin by the collar and yanked him out from under the bed. Without hesitation, he punched him.

"Damn it! Scaring me like that!"

"Staying up late and causing trouble!"

"Making me empty your toilet bucket!"

"Damn brat, I nearly died of fright!"

Bakuhatsu roared, his voice tinged with a hint of tears.

"This is standard procedure after a room check!" he added, trying to justify his actions.

Rinjin dodged left and right, but with his collar firmly in Bakuhatsu's grip, he still took a few solid punches.

"This one's for Tsuchiguma—he wet himself because of you!"

At the door, Tsuchiguma's face turned beet red beneath his mask, his kunai creaking in his grip.

"This one's for me—for making me deal with your nonsense in the middle of the night!"

Despite being held in midair, Rinjin refused to back down. Flailing his arms, he shouted, "Coward! Let me down, and I'll fight you one-on-one!"

"Hey! Let me go! You're going to rip my pajamas!"

Hearing this, Tsuchiguma shuddered. He quickly stepped forward to separate the two.

He knew Rinjin all too well—or rather, he knew him better than anyone else in Konoha.

This kid was generous to his sister but stingy to the extreme with everyone else—especially when it came to his clothes.

Uchiha Ryōta had once paid a million ryō over a pair of shoes. Four Amegakure shinobi had lost their lives over a torn sleeve. Rinjin was the king of petty grievances.

Recalling Rinjin's past exploits, Tsuchiguma immediately stepped between him and Bakuhatsu. Carefully, he placed Rinjin back on the bed, even smoothing out the wrinkles on his clothes.

Pulling Bakuhatsu aside, Tsuchiguma whispered in his ear, "Captain, it's fine if you rough him up, but don't tear his clothes."

"Why?" Bakuhatsu frowned.

Tsuchiguma gave an awkward smile. "Have you heard this saying? 'If I don't scam you out of your pants today, I won't eat four dishes in my lifetime!'"

Bakuhatsu's expression turned strange beneath his mask.

"So he's the one who scammed the Uchiha out of a million ryō?"

Tsuchiguma nodded emphatically.

Without another word, Bakuhatsu grabbed Tsuchiguma and quickly exited the cell.

"Thud!" The sound of the door closing echoed as the four ANBU finally breathed a sigh of relief.

"Let's go. It's just a prank by a brat," Bakuhatsu said, waving the others away. Turning to Tsuchiguma, he grumbled, "Why didn't you tell me earlier that 233 was that troublemaking kid?"

Tsuchiguma scratched his head sheepishly. "I thought you knew, Captain."

Inside the cell, Rinjin listened to the fading footsteps. Despite his bruised face, a wide grin spread across his lips.

"Haha... Hahaha!"

Even though he'd been beaten, he wasn't the least bit upset.

After all, compared to this minor setback, tonight's gains were monumental.

The *Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu* and the *Flying Raijin Jutsu*.

Though he hadn't found the *Eight Gates Technique* he'd dreamed of, the *Flying Raijin* was more than enough to make up for it!
