Naruto: Uchiha's Resolve

Chapter 32: Chapter:32

Uchiha Hirito smirked cruelly, gripping his ninja sword tightly as he advanced toward Sarutobi Hiruzen. The battle was nearing its conclusion, and Hirito could taste victory.

Hiruzen, battered and exhausted, struggled to rise, his body trembling. The wounds Hirito had inflicted were not fatal but strategically placed to maximize pain. Hiruzen felt panic seeping into his resolve.

"I can't die here," Hiruzen thought desperately, his vision blurring. "I haven't fulfilled my teacher's wishes. I haven't become Hokage!"

But Hirito gave him no reprieve. In the blink of an eye, he appeared behind Hiruzen.

Rip!

Blood splattered across the ground as Hirito's blade slashed Hiruzen's back, leaving another deep wound.

"Ahhh!!!" Hiruzen screamed, collapsing to the ground once more.

Hirito stepped forward, his Sharingan glinting with malice. "Is this all the Will of Fire amounts to? Disappointing.

In the crowd, Shimura Danzo clenched his fists. His face was pale, his eyes filled with tears as he watched his comrade and friend, Sarutobi Hiruzen, being systematically dismantled.

Danzo's heart raced with indecision. Should he intervene, or should he stay silent, just as he had on the battlefield when Tobirama sacrificed himself?

"Danzo, don't!" the head of the Shimura clan hissed, gripping his arm tightly. "You are the future of our clan. Don't throw your life away for Hiruzen!"

But Danzo's internal turmoil intensified as Hiruzen's screams echoed in his ears.

"I won't lose this time," Danzo whispered to himself. "I won't be a coward again!"

Breaking free from his clan leader's grasp, Danzo rushed into the arena, his hands forming seals.

"Wind Style: Vacuum Bullet!"

A sharp gust of air shot toward Hirito, aimed directly at his head.

Hirito turned swiftly, his Sharingan catching the attack's trajectory with ease. He raised his ninja sword, deflecting the wind bullet with a sharp clang, sparks flying in the process.

"Well, well," Hirito said, a sinister grin spreading across his face. "So you finally decided to join the fun, Danzo. Good. I was hoping for this."

---

"Bold!" Hyuga Takuma's voice boomed from the crowd, his Byakugan activated as he glared at Danzo. "You dare interfere in a duel?!"

The room erupted into murmurs of disapproval. Hirito's ally, Uchiha Inahiri, sneered. "The Shimura clan has signed its own death warrant!"

The head of the Shimura clan looked utterly defeated. His pale face betrayed his fear. He began to issue orders to his retainers. "Prepare for an exodus. Get the young ones out of Konoha immediately. We must preserve what little of our clan remains."

Hirito, sensing his advantage, played his part with mock indignation.

"Lord Mito," Hirito called out theatrically, his voice trembling with feigned hurt. "I was in the middle of a sanctioned duel when Danzo Shimura launched a cowardly sneak attack. Surely, this cannot go unpunished?"

Uzumaki Mito's expression darkened. Her piercing gaze landed on Danzo like a guillotine. "Kill him," she said coldly. "And exile the Shimura clan from Konoha."

Her words sent a chill through the room.

Hirito's grin widened. "With pleasure."

He turned his attention to Danzo, his Sharingan locking onto him like a predator eying its prey.

Danzo didn't hesitate. Gripping a kunai tightly, he charged at Hirito, his eyes blazing with determination.

"Come at me, Uchiha!" Danzo roared.

The clash began with ferocity. Hirito's ninja sword met Danzo's kunai in a flurry of sparks. Though Danzo fought valiantly, it was clear he was no match for Hirito's skill and speed.

"Ding! Ding! Ding!"

The sound of steel colliding echoed through the arena, but Danzo's movements grew sloppier with each exchange. Hirito, on the other hand, remained calm, methodical, and ruthless.

Rip!

Hirito's blade sliced through Danzo's defenses, leaving a deep gash on his chest. With a swift kick, Hirito sent Danzo flying. He rolled across the ground, coming to a stop beside the bloodied Hiruzen.

"This farce has gone on long enough," Hirito said, his voice dripping with finality.

A molten sphere began to form in Hirito's hand. The air around it distorted from the heat.

"Lava Release: Rasenshuriken!"

The spectators gasped as Hirito's chakra molded into a deadly spiral of molten energy. Its power was overwhelming, a testament to Hirito's mastery of both Sharingan and Lava Release.

"You should thank me," Hirito said, his voice eerily calm. "You'll die together, as brothers."

Hiruzen and Danzo exchanged one final glance. Danzo managed a weak smile, his lips moving silently.

"I'm sorry, Hiruzen."

The molten Rasenshuriken flew through the air, its heat lighting up the arena like a second sun.

BOOM!

The explosion was deafening, a brilliant white light engulfing the arena. The ground shook as the molten energy consumed everything in its path.

When the light faded, all that remained was a smoldering crater. There was no trace of Hiruzen or Danzo. They had been utterly obliterated.
