Naruto: Tobirama Reborn, Invincible in the Ninja World

Chapter 113: Chapter 113: Tobirama's Storytime

Uchiha Madara had finally been defeated.

Despite being unable to use the Rinnegan, which severely limited his power, Madara was not one to make excuses for failure. Having lost to Senju Tobirama, he accepted the outcome without complaint.

Whirls of water coiled tightly around Madara's body, suppressing his chakra completely. The massive humanoid water construct slowly dissipated, and the torrents of water dragons transformed into a gentle rain, descending from the sky in sparse droplets.

Tobirama landed lightly, his steps measured as he approached the restrained and immobilized Uchiha Madara.

"So, do you believe me now?"

Standing before Madara, Tobirama's lips curled into a faint, teasing smile.

"Hahahaha! Tobirama, I admit I underestimated you. It seems you've truly risen to a level where you can stand shoulder to shoulder with Hashirama and me!"

Madara, his head the only part of his body free from the restraints, burst into hearty laughter. But then, his tone shifted.

"However, even if you've beaten me, my resolve remains unshaken!"

"The Eye of the Moon Plan will not end!"

The altered stone tablet, tampered with by Black Zetsu, had thoroughly convinced Madara that the Infinite Tsukuyomi was the ultimate salvation left behind by the Sage of Six Paths.

"How pitiful..." Tobirama clicked his tongue, shaking his head in mock sorrow as he observed Madara's unwavering belief.

"Pitiful? And who, pray tell, are you pitying?" Madara shot back, his glare sharp.

"You, of course. A man deceived yet utterly unaware of it."

Tobirama turned his back on Madara, the rain soaking into the ground as his hands moved in a blur. A moment later, several pale white figures hidden beneath the earth were dragged out by streams of water.

"You even know about this?!"

Seeing Tobirama reveal the White Zetsu hiding underground, Madara's body instinctively tensed despite the water binding him tightly. He could only glare in shock.

"Now, there's no one left to interrupt us."

Tobirama calmly severed the White Zetsu in half before relaxing slightly. The rain above mirrored Nagato's Rain Tiger at Will technique, serving as Tobirama's sensory net, ensuring no disturbances.

"Madara, let me tell you a story."

Tobirama loosened Madara's bindings just enough to allow him to lift his head. Ignoring Madara's burning curiosity about how he'd discovered the White Zetsu, Tobirama began speaking.

"A long, long time ago… roughly a thousand years ago, in fact. Back then, the shinobi world had neither chakra nor ninjas. The ones responsible for fighting were samurai."

"I know this history already!" Madara interrupted with a yell. Was Tobirama seriously trying to lecture him on ancient history?

"Don't interrupt."

With a sharp glare, Tobirama continued.

"One day, a woman from beyond the stars descended upon the shinobi world. Her name was Ōtsutsuki Kaguya, later revered as the Rabbit Goddess."

"She brought with her a Divine Tree, the true form of the Ten-Tails. Kaguya planted the Divine Tree, and during that time, she bore two sons: Ōtsutsuki Hagoromo and Ōtsutsuki Hamura."

"Later, Kaguya consumed the chakra fruit borne by the Divine Tree, becoming the first human to wield chakra and the first jinchūriki of the Ten-Tails."

Tobirama paused to take a deep breath.

"You're making this up, aren't you?" Madara's skeptical tone was tinged with incredulity. The mention of aliens clearly tested his limits of believability.

Noting Madara's dubious expression, Tobirama couldn't help but smirk. He knew the absurdity of the tale, yet the truth of the shinobi world's history was stranger than fiction.

"Patience. Hear the story out," Tobirama said, his voice calm as he continued.

"After consuming the fruit, Kaguya enslaved humanity, casting an Infinite Tsukuyomi that trapped countless people in a genjutsu. Those ensnared were secretly transformed into White Zetsu to serve her."

At the mention of Infinite Tsukuyomi, Madara tried to interject, but a thin curtain of water sealed his mouth, leaving him to issue muffled protests.

"Kaguya's two sons eventually discovered her actions. Guided by a prophetic toad, they decided to oppose their mother."

"These brothers were no ordinary children. The elder, Hagoromo, awakened the Rinnegan and was later known as the Sage of Six Paths. The younger, Hamura, possessed the Byakugan and became the progenitor of the Hyūga clan."

"The two waged a battle against Kaguya that spanned countless days and nights. Finally, they used the Six Paths—Chibaku Tensei to seal her away, creating the moon in the process."

Madara's eyes widened at this revelation.

The Sage of Six Paths creating the moon with Chibaku Tensei was something he already knew. But that the moon contained a sealed being? That was entirely beyond his imagination.

It made sense. Chibaku Tensei was a sealing technique. Without a target, why would the Sage create a moon?

Though Tobirama's words sounded fantastical, Madara found himself beginning to doubt his own convictions.

"And then? What happened next?" Madara muttered, his curiosity overriding his skepticism.

"Hagoromo absorbed the Ten-Tails into himself, founded Ninshū, and spread the concepts of chakra and ninjutsu throughout the world. Hamura, longing for their mother, moved to the moon to live."

"In his later years, the Sage divided the Ten-Tails' chakra into nine parts, creating the tailed beasts."

"If the story ended there, it would be a happy conclusion. But unfortunately, it didn't."

Tobirama cast a glance at Madara, who appeared to have a hundred questions yet remained silent, awaiting the tale's continuation.

"The Sage's two sons, Indra and Asura, inherited his eyes and body, respectively. Though they initially got along, Kaguya's will, Black Zetsu, lingered in the shadows, hidden for centuries due to the Sage's power."

"Black Zetsu eventually manipulated Indra, sowing discord between the brothers. When Asura inherited Ninshū, the brothers' rivalry erupted into a fierce conflict, birthing endless cycles of war."

"Even after their deaths, their chakras reincarnated into new hosts, perpetuating their feud across generations."

"And a thousand years later, one of Indra's reincarnates—Uchiha Madara—united the power of the Sage's eyes and body. In his old age, he awakened the Rinnegan and misinterpreted the Sage's stone tablet, believing that the Infinite Tsukuyomi could save the world. That man is you, Madara."

Tobirama's tone sharpened as he continued.

"Black Zetsu, the manifestation of Kaguya's will, waited millennia to reap his rewards. Disguising himself as your will, he ensured that even in death, you would further his plans."

"Oh, and by the way, the Sage's stone tablet? Black Zetsu tampered with it. Infinite Tsukuyomi doesn't create a dream world—it turns people into White Zetsu, drains their chakra, and resurrects the progenitor of chakra herself, Ōtsutsuki Kaguya!"
