Chapter 254: Chapter 254: Kaguya Otsutsuki
"I… can't move…"
Madara struggled, but no matter how much effort he exerted, his body wouldn't respond. It felt eerily similar to the binding curse he had once placed on Obito's heart.
Black Zetsu, his arm piercing through Madara's chest, spoke from behind him with a sinister sneer. "You and Obito were nothing but my pawns to bring about the Infinite Tsukuyomi. Madara, what made you think you were special?"
As Kaguya's creation, Black Zetsu resonated with Madara, who had absorbed the Ten Tails—the incarnation of Kaguya—and become its Jinchuriki. This resonance allowed Black Zetsu to suppress Madara completely.
"What are you talking about? Isn't the Infinite Tsukuyomi a technique created by the Uchiha clan to bring peace to the ninja world?" Madara asked, his voice trembling with a sense of foreboding.
"Wrong," Black Zetsu hissed. "The so-called Infinite Tsukuyomi is nothing more than a ritual to resurrect Kaguya."
As he spoke, Black Zetsu's body oozed like black paint, spreading over Madara. "You're just a pitiful worm, trapped in the dream I crafted for you."
"Impossible! Ahhhhhh—!"
A searing pain tore through Madara's body as Black Zetsu's corruption consumed him. His agonized screams echoed across the battlefield.
The Observers
"What's going on over there?!" Naruto shouted, confused by the sudden change.
"That guy just mentioned 'Kaguya,'" Sasuke said grimly, his expression darkening.
"Kaguya?"
"She's the one the Sage of the Six Paths warned us about," Sasuke reminded him.
Naruto's eyes widened as he remembered the Sage's description of Kaguya, the "mother" who sought to dominate the world.
"Then what do we do?"
"Isn't it obvious? We seal her now!"
Sasuke gripped his Kusanagi sword tightly, and Naruto raised the black staff formed from his Truth-Seeking Orbs. Together, they charged toward Madara and Black Zetsu, intent on stopping whatever was happening.
"It's too late now," Black Zetsu said ominously.
Madara's hair elongated suddenly, whipping out to ensnare Naruto and Sasuke mid-charge.
"Dammit, why can't I move?!" Naruto grunted, pulling at the hair wrapped around him, only to find it unyielding.
"What's happening? My chakra…" Sasuke's attempt to sever the hair with Susano'o failed as the hair absorbed his chakra, leaving him weak and unable to struggle.
Both were stunned. Madara's strength had increased dramatically, surpassing what they had faced before.
Madara's Transformation
Around them, the vines binding those captured by the Infinite Tsukuyomi pulsated, transferring massive amounts of chakra into Madara's body.
"Ahhhhh—!"
Madara's body swelled grotesquely, unable to withstand the overwhelming chakra pouring into him.
"How…? The tablet said the Infinite Tsukuyomi was meant to bring peace to the world…" Madara muttered, his voice tinged with disbelief and despair.
"Madara," Black Zetsu sneered. "I have lived far longer than you, longer than anyone else. It wasn't difficult for me to decipher and alter the tablet left by the Sage of the Six Paths. You've spent decades pursuing a dream that was never yours to achieve."
Madara, now a bloated mass of flesh, was engulfed by Black Zetsu's slimy form.
As his consciousness faded, Madara thought of his lifelong rival. "Hashirama… was I truly wrong?"
The Return of Kaguya
"This chakra… it's even stronger than the Ten Tails!" Naruto exclaimed, his voice tinged with panic as he sensed the energy radiating from the grotesque transformation.
"Is there no way to stop it?" Sasuke growled in frustration. He turned toward Kirito. "Where is Kirito?!"
Kirito stood motionless, his Rinne Sharingan glowing as he observed the scene carefully.
From his understanding, Black Zetsu acted as a "Karma" for Kaguya's resurrection, akin to the method used by the Otsutsuki clan to ensure reincarnation. Kaguya's Karma, however, had been uniquely activated using Yin-Yang Release, bypassing the usual process.
Madara's body, infused with the Ten Tails and chakra akin to Kaguya's own, served as the perfect vessel for her return.
Black Zetsu's corruption reached its climax. Madara's grotesque form began to shrink, condensing into a figure with long, flowing white hair and a radiant presence.
Naruto stared in shock. "We couldn't stop it… she's here!"
Sasuke clenched his fists. "So, this is Kaguya…"
The chakra around the transformed figure surged like a tidal wave. Slowly, Kaguya opened her pale Byakugan, gazing down at the battlefield with an air of authority.
Her gaze shifted to Naruto and Sasuke, who were still ensnared in her hair. A faint sense of recognition flickered in her eyes.
"That power… it belongs to Hagoromo and Hamura. No… it's their descendants."
Then, she turned toward another presence—a presence that stirred a deep, primal response within her.
"My kin… you are here."
Her aura shifted from regal to feral in an instant. Bulging veins surrounded her eyes as she unleashed an overwhelming pressure. The ground beneath her cracked, and even the vines hanging in the distance began to wither.
"Ahhh—!"
Naruto and Sasuke, closest to her, cried out in pain as her oppressive power washed over them.
The Showdown
Kirito, unfazed, activated his Byakugan, his own pressure surging to meet Kaguya's. The two forces clashed violently, shattering the ground and creating fissures that extended for miles.
Even the air seemed to quake as the two titanic energies collided.
Crack!
The vines binding the captured shinobi trembled under the strain, threatening to collapse entirely.
"Mother, stop!" Black Zetsu's voice rang out, hoarse and desperate.
