Chapter 31 Kiba vs Kakashi (Part 2)

Kiba squatted on the ground, in front of him a half-buried log, and behind him, Kakashi held a kunai to Kiba's neck.

"It's over, as expected of Kakashi." Homura sighed, looking at Namikaze Minato. "As expected of your disciple."

Namikaze Minato only smiled lightly. "This Kiba is also amazing. Kushina has put a lot of thought into him! I didn't expect that besides Taijutsu, Kushina also cultivated his ninjutsu."

"Yeah, I didn't expect Kushina to have nurtured such a talent. The B-rank Water Release technique, the chakra capacity to create water in an arid environment—this Kiba, he at least has Chunin-level chakra reserves." Homura nodded in agreement.

"And his hand seal speed is impressive too. Before the Water Formation Wall fell, he had already formed the seals for the Hiding Like a Mole technique and executed it under the cover of the water. Kiba might be young, but he's incredibly smart and tactically gifted." Namikaze Minato praised, feeling a twinge of regret for not being Kiba's teacher. It truly was a pity.

"I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like Kiba isn't going to lose," Hirohiko commented, an unusual expression on his face.

"I think so too," Yukina nodded. "Kiba won't lose so easily!"

Uzumaki Kushina, listening to her other two disciples, smiled slightly.

It seems Kiba has earned their trust. I think so too—how could my best disciple lose so easily? But Kiba, what are you waiting for? Kakashi is strong, but you can handle this!

"Kakashi-san, it's too early to decide that I've lost." Kiba stood up slowly, causing Kakashi's eyes to widen slightly. As Kiba rose, the pressure on Kakashi's hand increased.

Homura was about to announce Kiba's defeat when Kiba suddenly exploded into a cloud of white mist.

A side kick, with a whooshing sound, swiftly swung from behind Kakashi, aiming for his side.

Kakashi reacted quickly. The kick came fast and suddenly, like a whirlwind, but he managed to raise his right arm to block.

"Bang!" The muffled sound of flesh colliding reverberated.

What!

Kakashi's eyes widened. He couldn't fully absorb the impact, and his right hand, struck by the force, hit his own face with the kick.

"Boom!"

Kakashi was sent flying, crashing into the practice field's wall. The wall vibrated slightly as stone chips fell.

Kiba landed lightly, a smile forming on his lips.

Konoha Whirlwind! Plus, precise chakra control to enhance my kicks!

Thank you, Kakashi, for giving me time to refine chakra to my feet! It's more challenging to control chakra in the feet than the hands. But it worked!

Seeing Kakashi embedded in the wall, Kiba didn't rush. Instead, he mimicked Kakashi's earlier move, extending his right hand.

A punch met his arm.

Another "bang" sounded as flesh collided.

Kiba caught Kakashi's surprise punch and turned to counter with a punch of his own. Though he couldn't see behind him, his punch accurately hit Kakashi's side.

Kakashi, wearing his mask, narrowed his eyes and smiled.

Hey, Minato-sensei... This guy isn't someone to go easy on!

"Snap!"

Kakashi blocked Kiba's punch with his palm, intercepting the blow aimed at his face.

The Kakashi by the wall exploded into white mist, leaving Namikaze Minato and Homura wide-eyed in surprise.

These children... Kakashi aside, why is Kiba so powerful? They'll soon surpass us!

Namikaze Minato was also taken aback.

This kid... Kiba must have used a clone and substituted with it earlier, just like Kakashi. That means Kakashi's clone was the one I kicked away. Were they both fighting with shadow clones from the start?

These two are extraordinary! But Kiba's side kick was exceptionally strong! His Taijutsu is top-notch! He's on par with Guy!

Namikaze Minato was stunned but deeply impressed by Kiba's talent. His Taijutsu, ninjutsu, and combat strategy were outstanding.

He looked at Uzumaki Kushina, who was smiling proudly, clearly pleased with Kiba's performance.

On the field, Kakashi held Kiba's hand and suddenly performed a shoulder throw, aiming to slam Kiba to the ground.

However, Kiba planted his feet firmly, standing his ground. Using Kakashi's momentum, he swung him away.

In mid-air, Kakashi turned and released several shurikens to interrupt Kiba's pursuit.

The shurikens flew with precision, forcing Kiba to step back.

"Electric Shock!" Kakashi formed seals in mid-air, releasing a bolt of lightning like a sharp spear from his mouth.

The lightning crackled toward Kiba with blinding speed.

Kiba smirked, having anticipated the attack. He jumped back just in time, narrowly avoiding the bolt. The lightning struck the ground, leaving a small smoldering hole.

If that had hit, it would have left a hole in me...

Earth Style: Earth Dragon Spear!

Kiba completed his seals mid-jump, and as he landed, he pressed his hands down, causing a massive earth spear to erupt.

Kakashi dodged sideways in the air, narrowly missing the spear. But before he could catch his breath, Kiba used the spear as a launch pad, jumping and delivering a powerful punch.

"Boom!"

Kakashi crossed his arms to block but was blasted away by the force, crashing into the ground with a loud thud, raising a cloud of dust and debris. The spot where he landed was the same area where he had used the Substitution Jutsu earlier, the piece of wood now lying nearby.

Kiba landed gracefully, looking at the pit where Kakashi lay, coughing up blood, seemingly unable to fight back.

But Kiba wasn't complacent. He quickly turned, sensing danger.

"Boom!"

His punch clashed with Kakashi's from behind.

When did he leave another clone?

Kiba frowned.

The log beside Kakashi fell to the ground, and with a "bang," Kakashi's clone in the pit dissipated into white mist.
