At Konoha's third training field,
Minato's team had been waiting early.
"That guy Obito, he's late
again," Kakashi remarked with a shrug. The training field, enclosed by a
circular wall, had only three occupants: Kakashi, Rin, and their teacher
Namikaze Minato. The opposing team had yet to arrive.
"Kakashi..." Namikaze
Minato began.
"Huh?" Kakashi looked at
him.
"When you spar with Kiba,
control your strength to avoid hurting him," Minato advised, clearly not
expecting Kiba to defeat Kakashi.
"Yes... After all, he is the
disciple of our teacher's beloved girlfriend. I understand," Kakashi
replied, nonchalantly. Despite his interest in Kiba, he didn't believe Kiba,
fresh from the Ninja Academy, could defeat him.
Namikaze Minato could only smile
helplessly at Kakashi's confidence.
"Sorry, sorry, I'm late. I
just got lost..." Uchiha Obito, with his signature goggles on his head,
hurried over.
"I'm too lazy to talk about
you," Kakashi sighed deeply.
Rin Nohara, observing the
interaction, smiled quietly. Her eyes lifted to the four figures approaching
from the gate of the training ground.
"They're here!" Rin
announced.
Obito joined Kakashi's side.
"You sure you won't lose, right?"
"Yes..." Kakashi replied
dismissively.
But this time, Obito wasn't
angered. Instead, he asked seriously, "Kakashi, I have to become a Chunin
this time."
Kakashi looked at Obito, silent
for a moment before responding, "Ah..."
By then, Kiba and his team had
approached. Uzumaki Kushina looked around. "Where's the Third
Hokage?"
"The Third Hokage is dealing
with urgent matters and can't make it. Homura will oversee the match,"
Namikaze Minato explained, nodding toward the ninja assistant in the center of
the field.
"That's fine, as long as you
keep your word," Kushina replied, earning a wry smile from Minato.
The teams walked to the center,
leaving Kiba and Kakashi standing opposite each other.
Kakashi's mind echoed with
Minato's advice: Control your strength; don't let him lose too badly. He saw
the trusting eyes of Obito and Rin on him.
Why do I have to compete with this
guy... and decide Obito and Rin's Chunin exam qualifications? Kakashi thought.
Kiba, recalling Kushina's words of
"must win," felt the expectant gazes of Hirohiko and Yukina behind
him. He took a deep breath.
Alright, let's go all out for that
barbecue!
Facing Kakashi, a super genius,
Kiba knew he had to give it his all. Kakashi was already a Chunin with at least
elite Chunin-level strength.
As the referee, Homura, looked at
Kakashi and Kiba, he announced, "Then, let's begin the ninja
sparring!"

declared.

range to his advantage.

Far away, Hyuga Yukina activated
her Byakugan, observing Kiba's enhanced chakra. Is this the Life Gate mode? His

murmured, seeing Kakashi with only his head above ground.
Kiba, standing behind Kakashi,
held a kunai, placing it against his neck.
"Kakashi lost?" Obito
asked incredulously, wide-eyed.
"Trust Kakashi, he won't
lose," Rin said.
As if confirming her words, just
as Kiba was about to declare victory, he felt the cold steel of a kunai pressed
against his neck.
"You really think it would be
this easy?" Kakashi's voice came from behind Kiba, cool and composed.
The clone Kakashi's head exploded
into a cloud of white mist, and a piece of wood remained half-buried in the
soil.
Kiba narrowed his eyes.
Substitution Jutsu! Of course, it
wouldn't be that easy!
