Chapter 5: Training Chakra Control Part 3
Thanks to the years of training Yasu spent near Guy, he knew the exact moment to switch his training weights. Guy always changed weights once he could perform more than a thousand push-ups.
When Guy switched to heavier weights, he would return to managing only 100 push-ups initially. In just six years—unlike Yasu—Guy was already using 3,000 kg on each arm and leg, totaling 12,000 kg. This highlighted how Yasu's previous lack of results had hindered his progress.
Fortunately, Yasu knew that the stronger Guy became, the harder it was for him to improve further. This gave Yasu hope that, in a few years, he could reach Guy's current level of training. Even if he couldn't fully match it, he wouldn't lag far behind his friend.
Yasu was satisfied with the idea of being the second-best shinobi in the world in taijutsu, right after Guy. After all, Yasu would rely far less on taijutsu in battles due to his Sharingan, the possibility of acquiring multiple Kekkei Genkai, and many jutsu he could use in the future.
Of course, he understood that the stronger he became, the more he would eventually depend on taijutsu again. The Sharingan would aid him in maximizing his speed and fighting efficiency against the most formidable enemies.
Yasu could already imagine himself using the **Seven Inner Gates**, **Senjutsu**, a **chakra armor**, and the Sharingan to enhance his speed and precision in battles. No enemy would be able to match the velocity he could achieve.
Yasu was confident because he knew that as he gained more Kekkei Genkai and purified them, he would receive additional benefits, including a stronger body. These enhancements would go beyond what his current training provided, making his body more resilient than even Guy's.

A few more days passed, and Yasu had started to move more quickly across the water. He understood the training was taking time, but it was due to his low chakra reserves. Otherwise, he estimated it would have taken him just three days to master walking on water effortlessly.
However, this slower progress was beneficial for the current Yasu. After all, his chakra always increased slightly whenever he completely exhausted it at the end of each training session.
Additionally, the training weights he wore made the exercises more challenging and significantly increased the amount of chakra needed for his practice.
His taijutsu training also improved significantly. Yasu could now perform 500 push-ups, 500 squats, and run for longer periods in the Forest of Death.
Yasu had also learned to prepare better meals for himself using medicinal ingredients he found in the village. Drawing on knowledge from his past life, he knew how to cook these ingredients into healthier dishes.
He noticed that eating these meals made his training more efficient, and it also helped prevent him from overtraining and harming his body.
---
A month passed quickly. After this month of training, Yasu finally mastered walking on water. However, he realized he could further improve by practicing jumping across the water at higher speeds.
Moreover, Yasu wanted to find the precise minimum chakra output needed to take each step and walk across water without sinking. This would enhance his chakra control and make his training even more effective.
A little over a month after buying his training weights, Yasu reached the milestone of performing 1,000 push-ups. It was time to upgrade. He purchased weights of 600 kg and, as expected, could initially manage only 100 push-ups again.
This also increased the difficulty of walking on water again. Yasu was pleased with the added efficiency of his training and already felt that his chakra reserves had grown significantly due to his daily chakra exhaustion and the strengthening of his body.
After two months of more efficient training, Yasu finally received a notification from the system: he had increased the purity of his Sharingan Kekkei Genkai by 1%, bringing it to 22%.
This was better than Yasu had anticipated at the start. It meant that, in a year and a half, he could reach 30% purity—the minimum required to awaken the Sharingan. This was half the time he had originally estimated.
It also meant that Yasu could further reduce this timeline by several factors depending on how much heavier his training weights became and how much stronger his body grew.
Currently, he estimated he could achieve 100% purity in the Sharingan Kekkei Genkai in under 12 years. That would be before the start of the Naruto anime timeline and more than sufficient for him to acquire additional Kekkei Genkai and confidently face the Akatsuki.
Of course, Yasu had high hopes for what might happen once he reached 100% Sharingan purity. Perhaps he could unlock the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan without needing Hashirama's cells—or maybe even the Rinnegan.
Even if those possibilities didn't materialize, he was sure to gain much more chakra, a significantly stronger body, and vastly enhanced initial visual prowess.
Yasu was also happy because Guy had finally returned to the village. His team had come back from the war after completing a mission, and the frontlines at Sunagakure had stabilized.
Guy saw Yasu and immediately approached him with a big smile. "Yasu, my friend, I told you I'd return safely to the village! The shinobi of Sunagakure cannot stop the power of youth!"
Yasu smiled, seeing Guy as energetic as ever. "I knew you'd come back, Guy. Come with me to the Forest of Death—I have a surprise to show you."
"A surprise?" Guy looked at Yasu curiously. "You seem much more confident, and you also look a lot stronger than you did a few months ago."
Yasu wasn't surprised that Guy had noticed. He was one of Yasu's closest friends and a master of taijutsu, so it would be hard for him not to notice Yasu's improvements.
"Don't spoil my surprise," Yasu said with a smile.
