Ohnoki started moving towards the gate.

But, just as he started moving, he noticed a water dragon in the sky.

Ohnoki made a grim face.

The water dragon wasn't moving towards him but the residential area of the village.

He quickly used particle style and took care of it.

But, soon a few more dragons came, intending to devour the whole city.

The civilians were scared shitless.

In the morning, they felt that something was wrong that day as they saw a lot of ninjas on the streets.

The feeling intensified considerably when they saw a water dragon attacking the Tsuchikage.

This was witnessed by only a few civilians, but the water dragons appearing randomly in the village, sometimes in the sky or from the ground, made them helpless.

Luckily, Ohnoki had moved his clones to take care of these.

The last thing he wants is for civilians to stop sending their children to the academy due to this as a form of rebellion.

This could also lead to a decrease in daimyo funding.

Ohnoki really wasn't in the mood to assassinate the daimyo and change it again; it takes too many resources to do it.

He would rather not let it happen in the first place.

Ohnoki's eyes widened as he felt a lot of chakra signals disappearing at the village gate.

His worst nightmare had happened.

The nearest Earth clone rushed towards the area.

However, all the Earth clones stopped when they felt a familiar chakra flare in one corner of the village.

The jinchuriki is being attacked!

Ohnoki quickly rushed, no, flew towards Roshi's house while letting his earth clones handle the area.

It's fine if civilians died; he could always manipulate them or blackmail them indirectly to send their children to the academy.

The village would have a catastrophic loss if they lost one of their jinchuriki.

Meanwhile, other Elite Jounins and S-ranks have also arrived outside and started dealing with water dragons which were randomly coming up.

'Wait, why do all the dragons come from places where no Elite Jounin or S-rank is there? Or is it just a coincidence?' Han internally thought while flickering in front of one water dragon's path and taking care of it.

While Old Man Ohnoki started moving towards the area, Roshi felt his rate of chakra draining increasing as time passed, or maybe it was just his chakra reserves getting low.

It had been only a few seconds since he got entrapped, yet the amount it had been extracted was phenomenal.

However, it was still just a drop in the ocean equivalent to the chakra of the four-tail jinchuriki.

Roshi closed his eyes and then suddenly spewed lava on the chains holding him on the ground.

The lava was considerably hotter than anything he had spewed that day due to increasing the chakra density in it.

However, to his surprise, the chain didn't weaken.

It still stood or was attached to him proudly.

'How annoy-' Roshi's eyes widened as he instinctively increased the output of chakra on his cloak.

Lightning could be seen enveloping him.

In the next instant, the chains, which were mostly limited to his lower body, moved to his upper body and entrapped him there.

Now he was like a mummy, but instead of bandages, it was chains.

It was funny, as Ohnoki would have teased him about looking like Lord Second if the situation had not been as serious as the current one.

Ohnoki noticed that the rate at which chakra was being absorbed increased by some more notches, and the lightning was considerably bombarding him from all angles, making him keep the chakra mode throughout unless he got shocked.

'How annoying' Roshi sighed.

He then concentrated his chakra in the mouth and fired a small-tailed beast bomb. 'I hate this part when I have to take damage from my own attack.'

The tailed beast bomb penetrated, no, destroyed the chains sealing him the mouth and exploded near his feet, destroying the chains there too.

He took this opportunity to fire another tailed beast bomb at the barrier to make a hole in it and flicker through it.

He jumped from the ground and fired one.

He then, in the next instant, flickered in the direction of the tailed beast bomb while barely dodging the new chains trying to hold him down.

However, just as the tailed beast bomb hit the barrier, to his horror, he noticed that the barrier didn't break as he expected, and a series of explosive tags were hurled at him.

Due to the close range, he increased the chakra in his cloak and jumped back.

But he had to bear the full brunt of the attack.

This led to chains wrapping around his ankles, but this time with lightning that was so concentrated that he could see blue on his ankles like lava.

Roshi had to increase the chakra output of his cloak by a few folds in the leg due to the amount of damage it was doing.

He then fired a small-tailed beast bomb into the ground and escaped again.

'Fuck, this barrier... it's using my chakra' Roshi noticed that the amount of chakra that the lightning-covered chain has is not possible even by a kage.

It seems his chakra that was being absorbed is being used by the barrier to sustain itself.

'I will die at this rate as I will run out of steam sooner or later if that chain could be concentrated with more chakra' Roshi noted while making some calculations of how much chakra he had lost until now and how much the chains had used in the form of lightning and in the form of the barrier.

He flickered again just as a chain came from the ground.

It would have looked like a horror scene to any other ninja below Elite Jounin level, as these were that deadly.

Not anybody has as ridiculously high chakra as a Jinchuriki.

They will lie down dead in a few moments only if they are inside it.

Roshi's eyebrows furrowed as he noticed that no chains were coming after him, and the ones that were visible were going back into the ground.

'They still should have a considerable chakra left' Roshi thought.

The barrier gleamed and then it shone, making Roshi cover his eyes with chakra instead of closing them.

That was a common thing to do among higher-level ninjas, but some preferred to close their eyes and focus on their other senses more.

Both approaches have their pros and cons depending on the context.

Ohnoki had just appeared near the poor old man's broken house and saw a barrier not showing what is inside.

'A seal master?' Ohnoki quickly weaved hand seals for particle release to destroy the barrier.

The particle release reached the barrier, but to Ohnoki's surprise, it passed through.

In the next instant, a loud explosion sound could be heard throughout the entire Iwa.

The origin of this sound was this barrier.

Ohnoki quickly spread his chakra field and sighed in relief when he noticed that Roshi was alive.

He quickly sent an earth clone to check on him in case this was a trap by the enemy.

"What happened?" The clone asked while looking at Roshi, who was lying on the ground on his back such that his face was looking at the sky, which was filled with clouds.

In the next instant, rain started falling.

"A brat ambushed me while I was taking a dump, and I barely survived; I'm almost out of chakra," Roshi said with a tired sigh.

Ohnoki was speechless at... everything.

Ambushed while taking a dump, is actually quite common outside the village as ninjas would take advantage of every opportunity.

But Roshi was in Iwa, one of the great villages.

His house is one of the safest buildings in the whole village due to seals inscribed by various grandmasters for the safety of their jinchuriki.

The same case for Han.

The second thing that surprised him was that Roshi, of all people, was almost out of chakra.

He did notice the chakra when he sensed him before, but he thought he was suppressing it.

"Who was it? How many ninjas?"

"It was Yukio, the same brat we ambushed with Suna."

Ohnoki's face turned grim.

The amount of headache he got for cleaning up that incident was too much for his poor old bones.

"Is his stealth skill that good? He was able to infiltrate and even ambush you, I suppose the other person who attacked at the gates was Miyuki, as a lightning user was involved."

Roshi's eyes widened. "Yes, it makes so much sense. She also has a hand in this barrier; lightning was involved, and this level of supercharging would require an Elite Jounin specializing in Lightning at least."

"So, one of them is a seal master? Or was there somebody else with them too?" Ohnoki ignored the possibility that Konoha would let a grandmaster leave the village.

"No, it wasn't a seal master; it was definitely a grandmaster. This level of personalization and creation is not possible by a seal master."
