Naruto: Teach Me How to Love You

Chapter 32: 32. I want a Divorce!

(Powerstones please!)

Miyuki and Yukio made their way down the house.

"Where were you guys? What were you doing yesterday? The gate was sealed," Yumi asked.

She was sitting at the dining table, eating cup noodles.

It seemed that was the only canned food available, as she wasn't a fan of ramen or noodles in the first place.

Miyuki became a bit self-conscious and didn't know what to say.

She was doing everything in her power to not let a blush show on her face.

"We were working on a seal, that's why we weren't responding," Yukio said with a straight face.

For him, lying was as natural as breathing.

"Oh, what type of seal?"

"That's confidential information, so I can't say." Yukio took a seat directly opposite Yumi.

Miyuki sat beside Yumi.

She didn't want to face Yumi directly, as she might mess up her facial expression and Yumi might feel something was wrong.

"Well, if it was going to take this long, you could've informed me beforehand." Yumi didn't let the matter go.

"We didn't know it would take this long. Miyuki was the reason we got delayed," Yukio shamelessly said.

Miyuki dropped her spoon and bent down to pick it up.

She did that to hide the blush on her face.

She was really contemplating if she should electrify Yukio or not.

"Hmm, I see." Yumi believed him.

Well, it didn't seem too important, so she didn't have to care about it.

"When are you going to continue my training?" Yumi really wanted to get stronger, as she was bored of trying to dry the leaf and learning bukijutsu properly.

Why does she have to learn to fight with weapons when she can freeze people?

"Hmm, I'll send a shadow clone. We have to get you to do some missions too, huh," Yukio sighed.

Taking one genin was tiring; no wonder Kakashi in the original didn't really teach them anything and slacked off.

He couldn't see himself dealing with three genins, especially Team 7.

Those guys are an infamous bunch. It's hard for Team 7 to last long; they generally dissolve when any one of the members reaches Chunin level.

The Rookie of the Year has his ego, and so does the second top ranker. Generally, this team formation is unideal due to people's egos clashing, as the gap between top rankers is not that high.

So, forming this team is generally unideal, as the last ranker doesn't have confidence.

But, if this team does form, their members really benefit from it due to their rivalry. So even if they rarely work together after becoming chunins or if the team disbands, it's still beneficial.

"I want to go on missions. Yup, let's do it now!" Yumi excitedly said, looking at Yukio with a pleading look.

Miyuki found this bizarre, as she had only seen Yumi as the person who randomly released killing intent.

It's hard to imagine or see Yumi, or even Itachi, as 6- or 7-year-old children due to how different they are.

"Hmm, no." Yukio said it simply. He wasn't weak to cuteness.

In fact, he was one of the people who had weaponized it in his childhood.

And the one who taught this jutsu to Yumi.

So, he was unaffected by it.

He opened his cup ramen, which was finally ready.

Miyuki also opened hers.

"Why not?" Yumi pouted.

It seemed it would take her a long time for this jutsu to reach a level that would be useful against Yukio.

"Hmm, not in the mood, I guess. Too many tasks pending to complete anyway," Yukio sighed.

He had to reach the Sage of Six Paths level in this decade on his own; he couldn't afford to slack off.

He took a mouthful of noodles.

"Hmm, I guess that's what it means to be an adult—too many useless responsibilities," Yumi remarked.

Miyuki choked on her noodles.

"Well, I don't take any useless responsibilities, only goals I have, which require a lot of work," Yukio said while eating the noodles simultaneously.

He had mastered the ancient art of talking while eating ramen, created by the Uzumakis.

"Hmm, cool. You've never told me your goals."

"I don't think it's wise to shout your goals all the time, especially to the wrong person." This remark was directly pointed at Yumi.

"Hmph, I don't tell everyone, only people who seem worth my time," Yumi huffed.

She wasn't going to accept it easily.

"Anyway, I hate eating noodles, especially in the morning." Yumi changed the topic to avoid further embarrassment if Yukio questioned her more.

"You really don't understand the greatness of ramen, do you?"

"I hate eating it in the morning too."

Miyuki and Yukio said it simultaneously and then looked at each other.

"I'm getting a divorce," Miyuki said and left using the body flicker technique.

The door automatically opened and then closed.

The house was completely silent.

"Umm, when did you guys get married?" Yumi broke the silence.

When did this happen?

And why wasn't she invited?

Even though she always said she wanted to kill them and it was her goal, she was still far from achieving it.

Plus, she lived with Yukio these days, so she kind of had a right to know. Just yesterday, she was told that Yukio and Miyuki were dating.

Isn't marriage kind of sudden, or have they been dating for a long time or something?

Yumi suspiciously looked at Yukio, who continued sipping his noodles.

"I don't know either about when we got married," Yukio honestly answered.

And there was silence.

"Anyway, what now? Are you not going to go after her or something?" Yumi changed the topic to avoid the awkward silence.

She was used to it, as it happened most of the time when she talked to Yukio.

"Nah, I'll be going to train soon, so I'll meet her anyway."

"Umm, I don't think that's how a relationship is supposed to work or something." Yumi might be a kid, but she had a basic common sense about these things.

Every kid her age mostly had this in the shinobi world.

"Hmm, what do you mean? She was done eating, that's why she left." Yukio pointed at the spot where Miyuki was previously sitting.

Yumi noticed the empty ramen cup.

"Uhh..." Yumi was speechless. How did she miss that?

"Anyway, I'll send a shadow clone in about 90 minutes to our usual training ground. Meet you there," Yukio said, disappearing into thin air.

Or so it seemed to Yumi.

"Uhh, do I really have to eat this?" Yumi looked at the noodles, which were kind of becoming soggy.

She saw that they were still edible, so she quickly scarfed them down.

She might have had to learn cooking seriously from Yukio for the days when he wouldn't cook, as eating this wasn't what she enjoyed.

Yumi then went to her training ground, which was kind of private, as it was used by Kakashi, Yukio, and Miyuki.

Well, everyone had their own section, and seals were present so nobody could spy on each other—more specifically, Yumi couldn't spy on the other three's training.

It was just that interesting, as Yumi might get carried away and focus only on Ninjutsu or something. Plus, she was technically an outsider, so it was reasonable.

Yumi started with some stretching and light exercises to activate her muscles a bit, then practised basic water-release jutsus.

She had realized she wasted a lot of chakra on her ice-related jutsu, so Yukio made her practice basic water jutsus to master them.

Like a basic water ball jutsu—a mastered version could be used in Jounin-level battles, while a weak version could even be dodged by a genin.

So, Yumi had to work on that—the speed of the water ball, the shape, how long she could maintain the water sphere, her accuracy, and what would happen if she tried to explode it while using it as a projectile, among other things.

Not all of it might be useful in combat, but it would especially help train a person.

She did that for nearly an hour until Yukio came.

"So, how is your bukijutsu? Have you mastered kunai to the level I asked you?"

"Yeah, I did. I still don't like it," Yumi grumbled. Why does she have to learn not only to use it in close combat but also to throw it, transitioning between close distance, increasing distance, etc.?

Isn't it simpler to just freeze everything?

Well, she doesn't have unlimited chakra, so she can't really say anything.

"Well, cool, now we are moving on to swords."

"Wouldn't mastering one weapon be better than learning all weapons?" Yumi asked instead.

"Yup, it would be, but don't you want to focus on Ninjutsu?" Yukio smirked.

"Yeah... fine, not like it matters," Yumi got checkmated before they had even talked much.

She could only imagine his reply to her next question.

She foresaw her checkmate.
