As the Third Hokage recovered from his shock, he slowly said to Gu Xingxi, "Gu Xingxi, since you have been acknowledged by the deity, you must diligently learn the sage techniques and serve Konoha and the Land of Fire as a Jonin."

Although Gu Xingxi was speechless, he responded, "Of course, the will of fire lives on, and I will definitely become the Hokage."

The Third Hokage asked, "What are you two doing here?"

Upon seeing the Third Hokage, Minato immediately bowed and explained, "Kushina and I sensed a chakra similar to the Nine-Tails and came here."

Kushina nodded and added, "Yes, Grandpa Third, then we saw that white Nine-Tailed Fox. The Nine-Tails even tried to take over my body to investigate, but I stopped it."

The Third Hokage reassured them, "No worries, that was just a celestial fox, not the Nine-Tails. Go back home," he said, and then he and the Anbu departed, with Minato and Kushina following.

Inside Kushina, however, the Nine-Tails was not calm.

"It's impossible, impossible, you old fool! Although that wasn't the Nine-Tails, it is a tailed beast," the Nine-Tails roared in frustration. "Kushina, let me out! I must see it for myself; I won't listen to that old fool."

Kushina, hearing the Nine-Tails, simply replied, "Forget about it," and then ignored it.

Back with Gu Xingxi, Bai Qian had transformed into a small fox and was perched on Gu Xingxi's shoulder.

"Not bad acting, huh? We successfully fooled them. But I sensed a golden chakra similar to mine," Bai Qian remarked.

Gu Xingxi, unconcerned, replied, "That's the Nine-Tails, a yellow fox. Don't worry about it; it's not as strong as you," he reassured, speaking a simple truth since the Nine-Tails did not know sage techniques.

After the conversation, Gu Xingxi used his 3D Maneuver Gear to head towards the Uchiha clan area, which was not on the outskirts but slightly towards the center of the village.

Returning to the clan area, Bai Qian went back inside Gu Xingxi.

In the clan area, he saw other ninjas, mostly civilian, apparently using Earth Release to construct something.

Gu Xingxi puzzled, "What's going on? Why are there outsiders here? It's well known that the Uchiha rarely have civilians or other ninjas around."

Gu Xingxi glanced around but continued on to his home, only to sense something amiss.

Suddenly turning around, he exclaimed, "Wait, that's my house, damn it!"

Realizing the situation, he immediately confronted the crowd.

"What are you doing? This is my house. Who allowed you to tear it down?"

At that moment, an Uchiha approached, "Lord Fugaku found you a new house, so your old one is being torn down to build something new for other Uchiha members. I've put your things in this scroll," he said, tossing a sealed scroll to Gu Xingxi, adding insultingly, "You really are poor."

Speechless but pragmatic, Gu Xingxi caught the scroll; after all, it contained his few possessions.

Following the Uchiha to his new house, Gu Xingxi was shocked at its size, "Damn, it's huge! If I'm not mistaken, only a Jonin's house is supposed to be this big. This old man really went all out for my 3D Maneuver Gear."

Inside, the future Sannin and the Uchiha clan leader, Fugaku Uchiha, along with Tobirama Senju, Tsunade's brother, were talking.

Gu Xingxi had a foreboding feeling ("These three returning means we're short on fighters. Time for us cannon fodder to step up.").

As the group noticed Gu Xingxi, the conversation paused.

Fugaku spoke, "Gu Xingxi, starting tomorrow, you will serve as a Genin for the village, and Orochimaru will be your mentor."

Stunned, Gu Xingxi thought, "? What? Orochimaru? Isn't he not yet corrupted at this time? And isn't Tobirama enough of a teacher? If not, wait for Anko. When I'm strong enough, come find me then. Wouldn't our partnership be stronger than now?"

Orochimaru spoke up, "Xingxi-kun, I look forward to working with you. Also, may I have a look at your device? It could greatly contribute to science."

Gu Xingxi, unable to refuse with the others around, felt a surge of annoyance.
