Now it's your turn to face the consequences for always targeting us. And it's not just bad luck, but terrible misfortune.
Seeing Danzo in trouble is one thing, but it's important to note that Danzo is the main force behind the attacks on the Uchiha. The Third Hokage and others only advocated for monitoring and precaution, but Danzo always aimed to eliminate the Uchiha.
With Danzo in trouble and losing power, the Uchiha could finally catch a break.
"Well done, well done, hahaha."
Fugaku laughed more and more wildly, even forgetting his position as the clan leader. He slapped the wooden floor twice, making Kazuki, sitting opposite, feel like he had gone mad.
Was it really that over the top?
But Danzo's misfortune was indeed a major event worth celebrating.
"Alright, the kids are sleeping."
Mikoto walked over, half laughing and half crying, setting up the low table and tea, reminding Fugaku not to make a fool of himself.
Though it wasn't a problem for Kazuki to know, it wasn't good to disturb the children's sleep. Moreover, it wouldn't sound good if it got out.
All the dignity of the clan leader was gone.
His dignity had completely fallen apart.
Kazuki watched this scene, naturally feeling embarrassed.
Realizing his lapse, Fugaku quickly quieted down, putting on a serious face, signaling Kazuki with his eyes:
"Tonight's events must not be leaked, or I'll lose face completely."
You're laughing like this and still thinking about keeping it secret?
Kazuki rolled his eyes and continued:
"Apart from this, I recommended Shisui to go to the Daimyo's mansion to protect him. Firstly, his strength is sufficient. Secondly, his wavering stance is unconvincing. Right now, he is infamous within the clan. Instead of being stifled in the Anbu, he might as well go to the Daimyo's side."
"Your idea is good. Shisui is indeed the most suitable person."
Fugaku thought for a moment and agreed with Kazuki's suggestion.
Previously, to benefit the clan, he had placed Shisui in the Anbu. Now it seemed there was no need for him to stay there!
As long as Shisui protected the Daimyo well, with the Daimyo's involvement, the pressure on the Uchiha from the village would only decrease.
With less pressure...
Suddenly, Fugaku realized something, so urgent that he even forgot about drinking his tea, quickly raising his head:
"Are you planning to take action against the elders?"
Looks like he figured it out.
"Saying 'taking action' sounds harsh."
Kazuki shook his head slightly and said:
"We're all from the same clan. If possible, I wouldn't want to do this. But unfortunately, the existence of the hardliners is a significant problem.
If they are not dealt with, the clan will never unite. These people might even lead the clan into the abyss."
Never underestimate the power of a ticking time bomb.
This thing could cause small or large problems, and if it escalated, it could lead the Uchiha to oppose all of Konoha, which was not something Kazuki wanted to see.
Kazuki knew that although Fugaku was a timid clan leader, at least in this regard, his thinking aligned with Kazuki's.
"Understood."
Fugaku responded but did not express any opinion.
Whether it was about the clan or the village, whenever there was trouble, Fugaku's reaction was consistently to let things slide.
Kazuki didn't hold out much hope. He didn't expect Fugaku to fully support him; as long as he didn't hinder him, that would be enough.
"Of course, it's still a bit early to take action against the hardliners. Currently, the most important thing, aside from sending Shisui to the Daimyo, is to find someone to spread unfavorable rumors about Danzo. Clan leader, can you handle this?"
Such good news shouldn't be kept hidden.
If it wasn't spread, the Third Hokage could handle it quietly. Kazuki didn't want that to happen; he wanted the matter to escalate.
It should be spread widely until the entire shinobi world knew, directly pinning the blame for the attempted assassination of the Daimyo on Danzo, leaving him with no way to clear his name, forcing him to bear the crime.
Fight you in the village?
Sorry, your home ground is not suitable for me. I can stir things up outside.
Spreading rumors shouldn't start within the village but from outside, spreading inwards. Starting the rumors outside and letting them reach Konoha through external channels.
By then, the Third Hokage wouldn't be able to block the news.
He would just have to watch the rumors become facts.
With proper handling, even if Danzo didn't die, he'd lose a layer of skin.
"I'll take care of this."
Spreading some rumors wasn't a big deal. Fugaku had already thought of a plan.
He didn't even need to send anyone from the clan to do it, to avoid being caught by the village.
The Third Hokage didn't want the situation to escalate, so he'd definitely keep an eye on them. Any suspicious activity would be blamed on the Uchiha.
So external help was needed... such as the ninja cats. As long as they were paid well, they wouldn't mind earning some extra money.
What did rumors spread by ninja cats have to do with the Uchiha?
"Then I'll handle Shisui."
Kazuki decided to change the higher-ups' impression of Shisui.
He'd see if he could pull Shisui out of the deep pit of the Will of Fire!
As for whether the Daimyo would try to win over Shisui, Kazuki wasn't worried at all. With Shisui's personality, it would be impossible for the Daimyo to sway him.
When someone has no interest in wealth, power, or women, and is devoted solely to their clan and village, no means would shake their resolve.
After agreeing on everything, Kazuki took his leave.
Fugaku lost any thought of sleep. Whether the Uchiha could emerge from their difficult situation depended on this opportunity.
He immediately contacted the ninja cats, laying out his requirements and the reward.
The ninja cats gladly accepted the chance to earn extra money.
For secrecy, to prevent anyone from discovering that the Uchiha were behind it, a contract was signed with the ninja cats, ensuring they wouldn't reveal the secret.
Under Fugaku's financial onslaught, the summoned ninja cat's eyes turned into little stars, happily pressing its paw print on the scroll.
"Summon Danzo to see me immediately. Also, notify the two advisory elders that there's an important matter in the village that requires their consultation."
Sitting in the Hokage's office, the Third Hokage became angrier the more he thought about it.
He initially thought that a minor issue at the Daimyo could be resolved by communication, but it turned out to be a major bombshell.
It blew up his plans, leaving him in a tight spot.
Upon receiving the notice, the diligent Koharu and Homura quickly arrived at the Hokage's office.
As for Danzo... he was still leisurely walking with his cane on the way.
"Hiruzen..."
Koharu was about to speak but was stopped by Homura.
One look at the Third Hokage's face told them it was a big deal, and he was in a very bad mood.
So, it was better not to ask and wait until Danzo arrived to discuss it.
Koharu nodded slightly and then sat down quietly to wait for Danzo.
However... five minutes passed, and Danzo hadn't arrived. Ten minutes later, he was still nowhere to be seen.
