Naruto: Path towards Godhood

Chapter 8: Hokage and Choice

One Week Later,

Ken stood on an empty training ground and started weaving hand signs. In less than two seconds, he had completed six hand signs.

[Fire Style- Great Fireball Jutsu]

He put Tiger hand sign behind his chin and spat out a large amount of Fire Chakra. It slowly condensed into a massive fireball as it pushed forward.

As he kept putting out more Fire Chakra, the fireball kept blooming in front of him.

After ten seconds, he felt the lack of Chakra in his throat and stopped.

The fireball slowly dissipated in the mid-air. But Ken didn't stop. He quickly started weaving hand signs for another Jutsu.

[Fire Style- Phoenix Sage Fire Jutsu]

He jumped toward the sky and faced the ground while putting his hand on top of his mouth.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Then, he began spatting out several fireballs that were an average chair. These fireballs collided on the ground and started creating shockwaves, destroying several chunks of the ground.

As his Chakra got depleted, he landed on the ground.

This was the reason why hand signs existed. Unlike those with exceptional Chakra Control, everyone needed to constantly mold their Chakra to use Jutsu.

And, without insane Chakra Control, the only way to mold Chakra was through hand signs.

Ken quickly threw out a Kunai connected with a ninja wire. The kunai struck a tree and stopped there.

After connecting another edge of the ninja war to his mouth, Ken started weaving hand signs.

[Snake- Dragon- Rabbit- Tiger]

[Fire Style- Dragon Fire Jutsu]

Unlike the Great Fireball or Phoenix Sage Fire, this Jutsu released Fire Chakra as a flame thrower, but due to the existence of Ninja War, the Fire Chakra could travel in a straight line.

As he spat out a massive fire from his mouth, it got connected to the ninja wire and traveled toward the tree at an extremely fast pace.

Since the tree couldn't move, he didn't need to use several Kunai and ninja wires to bind it. This made it easier for him to release this Jutsu.

In an instant, the entire tree was covered with flames. What's even more surprising was that only the tree was burned, nothing more than that.

Ken wasn't surprised by its power. Instead, he felt a bit dissatisfied.

The main reason behind the power of this Jutsu was its ability to travel straight at extraordinary speed.

That speed should've been more than enough to break through the tree and continue traveling forward despite not having a wire.

That was the full-power Dragon Fire Jutsu, but he couldn't perform it.

That being said, he didn't remain dissatisfied for long. After all, he had this Jutsu only for a week.

He took out a scroll and released a lot of water near that tree to make sure it didn't spread out.

Ken put away the scroll and made a Tiger Seal.

His body became a bit blurry, and the next second, it disappeared. He appeared nearly fifty meters away in just a few seconds.

This was the power of Body Flicker Jutsu.

Using it, he continued moving toward his house. As he reached his house, he inspected his body, and a smile appeared on his face.

After using three C-Rank Jutsu and one D-Rank Jutsu ten times, it only consumed one-third of his Chakra.

This was due to his massive improvement in this week's training. His Chakra Reserved had increased from 0.5 to 0.8 points.

So, even after using three C-Rank Jutsu and one D-Rank Jutsu ten times, it only used 0.3 points of his Chakra.

That's because whenever he used Fire Jutsu, he was able to save a lot of Chakra, and D-Rank Jutsu only cost him 0.01 points of Chakra.

'Alright, I have completed my task within a week. Now, it's time to use that reward.'

After a week of training, Ken had successfully practiced Fire Jutsu five hundred times, which helped him earn a thousand points.

He had been stuck on what he should use these thousands of points for.

But after a lot of thought, he decided to take on a gamble. He knew Chakra was the most important aspect of a Shinobi.

The main reason why Naruto was able to surpass everyone in the academy and in the world was entirely due to his Chakra Reserves.

Except for Otsutsuki, he had the highest Chakra Reserve.

That's because, on top of being a Uzumaki, his Chakra Reserve was constantly growing due to the Eight Trigrams Seal that his father used on him.

Ken didn't have that kind of luxury, but he knew the Chakra Reserve of a Uchiha was much higher than most people.

So, as long as he could improve his Uchiha Bloodline, he would be able to increase his Chakra Reserve.

Of course, he could do the same by simply using points on the Chakra section. But he wasn't going to do that now.

Even though he increased the points of Chakra, it didn't increase his Chakra Reserve.

There could only be one reason for this.

He needed to use a thousand points at once. But then, what kind of benefit would he get?

If it was a normal increase in Chakra, wouldn't it make much more sense to increase Chakra every time he used points on the Chakra section?

That didn't happen. So, the only conclusion he came to was doubling his Chakra Reserve.

Yes, that was his conclusion based on his knowledge and trust in this system.

So, if his Chakra Reserve was going to double, wouldn't it make more sense if he could increase the base Chakra first before doubling it?

After thinking about this possibility, he decided to use five hundred points to increase his Uchiha Bloodline.

Upon entering his house, he went to his bed and opened his status panel. The next moment, he put 500 points on Uchiha Bloodline.

In an instant, he felt a jolt of mental shock in his head.

"Argh!"

The screeching pain in his head almost made him lose control. He grabbed his head tightly and shut his mouth.

His house was close to other people. If they heard him scream, they could come and check on him.

He didn't want to disturb others or show them his improvement right now.

So, gritting his teeth, he continued to hold his head on the cushion.

Without even realizing it, Ken passed on after a minute.

.........….

Inside Hokage's Office;

"Shinku, how is your class doing? Everyone has already started taking tasks. You are the only one who hasn't done anything." The Third Hokage Sarutobi Hiruzen spoke.

He was in his fifty and still had a powerful aura around him. Wearing a hat of Fire Shadow, he was smoking through a pipe and looking at the front man.

"Lord Hokage, it's not that I don't want them to do tasks. It's just that they aren't ready yet. I think a little bit more training will help them cope with future dangers."

Shinku replied.

"I know that too, Shinku." Hiruzen stood up and walked toward a window, releasing a large amount of smoke from it.

He turned around and said.

"But, as a Hokage, I can't be unfair to others. You have your responsibility so do I. This war is going to be even more brutal than before."

"Without White Fang, we are dealing with much greater forces with less shinobi. That's why we need every soldier we can gather at the war."

Hearing his words, Shinku's expression changed as he showed a worried look and asked.

"But sir, they aren't ready. As you know, I might not be able to accompany them on their missions due to my position."

Hiruzen nodded his head and returned to his seat. He put the pipe on the table and said.

"I know that. But, at the same time, I also know their strength. Uchiha Ken has awakened One Tomoe Sharingan. You know what that means, right?"

"Not to mention, Mito has learned Water Style Ninjutsu while Jenzi is capable enough to use Earth Style. They are Genin now and they are needed on the battlefield."

"Although I don't want to send Genin to the war, this time we don't have a lot of choices. We must help them groom faster so that we can get more qualified ninjas."

Hearing that, Shinku almost bit his lips. He knew this was true. He couldn't run from this order nor he could reject it.

The problem was he couldn't be with his Genin Team all the time. As a Jonin, he had bigger responsibilities.

And, he didn't even have a proper Summoning Technique to keep an eye on his team. So, he was going to let them join the war without a proper Jonin.

That's why he was training them so hard to become at least a Chunin Level.

The only one who has reached that level would be Ken but even he would fail if he came in contact with an Elite Chunin.

Despite knowing all of this, he helplessly sighed and said.

"Alright, Lord Hokage!"
