Chapter 20: Three Genins Versus Jonin Part 4
Third Platoon Base; Tsunade's Room,
"Stop!"
Just as Shinku was trying to enter a tent, he was forced to stop. But Shinku didn't have time to stop here.
"I'm here to deliver the item to Lady Tsunade. Here is the signature of Lord Hokage."
Shinku took out a small scroll containing the written information the Hokage had given and tossed it to the guard waiting outside the tent.
"Then, please wait and let me confirm this scroll." The guard was a Jonin, just like Shinku, so he didn't let Shinku enter.
Not to mention, even if he wasn't a Jonin, he couldn't let just anyone enter this tent.
"I don't have time to waste here. Please call out Lady Tsunade." Shinku frowned and released his Chakra as he spoke.
"Then, please wait! This is also important." The guard wasn't frightened by Shinku's Chakra; instead, he began opening the scroll and examining the Hokage's signature.
"What's happening here?" Just as Shinku was about to argue, he heard a voice coming from the side.
This voice came from a tall person wearing a Leaf Jonin Flak jacket and forehead protector. He had pale skin and long, flowing black hair.
His pupils were slitted like a snake, and there was a charming yet venomous aura around him.
"Lord Orochimaru, I am glad you are here." Shinku quickly took out the scroll given to him by Hokage and passed it to Orochimaru.
"This scroll holds all the ingredients Lady Tsunade needed to make the antidote. I have something important, so I need to leave."
Shinku was about to leave when the guard stopped him and said.
"Shinku-senpai, Lord Hokage has asked us to keep you in this platoon. Sorry, but without the order of Lady Tsunade, you can't leave here."
Although the guard didn't understand why Shinku was in such a hurry, he still had to follow the orders of Hokage.
"Oh, is there a problem, Yuhi-san? You seem to be in a hurry."
Orochimaru couldn't help but feel curious when he saw him in such a hurry. After all, Jonin wouldn't lose their emotions so easily.
"My team…" Just when Shinku was about to explain, he looked at the guard and stopped.
If he did say something here, it would create a rift between him and the Hokage. So, he couldn't continue here.
"What's happening here? You guys are too loud." A loud voice came from the tent as a tall woman walked out.
She wore a green jacket over a grey top that wrapped around her body tightly. She had a charming face with a hint of seductive aura.
She wore blue pants and sandals. Her bosom was one part of her body that attracted the most attention as it was too big for any woman.
"Toro-san, why don't you take a break?" Seeing her out, Orochimaru turned his attention toward the guard and spoke with a smile.
Toro was hesitant, but he eventually passed the scroll to the woman and left.
"Why did you come here?" Tsunade turned her eyes toward Orochimaru, ignoring the scroll, and asked.
"A lot more people are getting poisoned from Platoon One to five. I need the antidote as soon as possible if we want to launch a counterattack."
Orochimaru explained.
Then he shifted his attention toward Shinku and asked.
"But I am curious, Yuhi-san. What made you so anxious that you are willing to ignore the orders of Hokage?"
Hearing that, even Tsunade looked at Shinku in confusion. Then, she finally realized she had a scroll in her hand and read it.
Being in this kind of situation, no matter how much he wanted to hurry, Shinku had to explain the situation.
So, he calmly explained the entire situation and waited for the response from Orochimaru and Tsunade.
"I'm sorry for your loss, Yuhi-san. But, I don't know the possibility of your Genin Team surviving this kind of situation."
Orochimaru shook his head, and his interest immediately died down.
"No, Lord Orochimaru! Although there is a chance that they will send a Jonin, it is one hundred percent confirmed. As long as they send a Chunin, I believe my team can survive."
Shinku, who had faced Ken so many times, had a lot of confidence in his students. So, he didn't hesitate to speak for his students.
Hearing the confidence in his tone, the interest in Orochimaru's eyes rekindled, but soon, he shook his head.
"Even if that's the case, it shouldn't be that easy. Not to mention, they won't send Chunin to complete such an important mission, even if they did, it would be a team of Chunin consisting of at least three Chunin."
"Now, do you think your team can survive?"
If it was anyone else, Shinku might have hesitated, but this was his team. He had trained them for a week. That was enough to understand the power and chemistry of his team.
"Yes."
This time, not only Orochimaru but even Tsunade was surprised.
She understood the situation Shinku was in. If she was in this kind of situation, she would've done the same.
But she couldn't have that kind of confidence because this team graduated ten days ago and had only trained for a week under Shinku.
Not to mention, the only person worthy enough to face a Chunin in his team was Uchiha Ken.
Hearing that, Tsunade sighed.
"Yuhi-san, even if you do this and they survive somehow, it will create some problems for the village. Even not for the village, it will create a problem for their families."
"And even your family. Do you still want to go and save them?"
At this moment, Orochimaru interrupted.
"But even so, we can't just let you go. Your assumption that they have sent a group of Chunin is based on your feelings, not any sort of evidence."
"If we send you there, not only might they be dead, but even your life will be in danger."
"I know, but I still want to give it a try. They have become Genin to protect the village. I don't want my students to die because of a betrayal."
Shinku no longer controlled his emotions and loudly spoke.
"Lower your voice, Yuhi-san!" Orochimaru frowned and spoke.
"Alright, Yuhi-san! I can help you. I will also send a Jonin and a medical Ninja with you just in case they can survive. But, you have to understand that if you do this, your daughter might get in trouble in the future."
Tsunade suddenly agreed, which stunned both of them.
Orochimaru quickly thought over her words and realized how Tsunade was trying to stop Shinku through his emotions.
After all, the life of his daughter would matter more than that of people he just met a week ago.
So, he didn't say anything and just waited for Shinku's reply.
"I understand! Thank you, Lady Tsunade."
Shinku immediately bowed his head and agreed without any hesitation in his eyes.
This stunned both of the Sannins. They couldn't understand why Shinku had so much love for people he just met a week ago.
Was it out of guilt or something else? They didn't know. But now that Tsunade had spoken, she couldn't take back her words.
"Alright!"
Tsunade sighed and agreed. Orochimaru didn't say anything. He just waited for Tsunade to arrange a Jonin and a medical Ninja.
After arranging a Jonin and a medical ninja, Tsunade spoke.
"Although I have given you this chance, I hope you remember. If something happens to these people, you will be held responsible."
"Just in case, I have given these two an order to retreat in case they face enemies you can't win."
"That's more than enough, Lady Tsunade! Thank you very much for helping me."
Shinku bowed his head and spoke.
Tsunade's eyes showed some reluctance as she sighed.
"I hope your students survive."
At this moment, Shinku couldn't help but remember his conversation with Ken from a few days ago.
'Hey Ken, remember our introduction!' Shinku asked.
'Yeah, sensei! What about it?' Ken, who was training with his Fireball, stopped and asked.
'Can you tell me why you come to hate those kinds of people?' Shinku asked.
Ken seemed to have hesitated for a moment before he replied.
'Because I think these kinds of people are forgiven too easily. They make the life of people that we admire and love hell for some kind of grand peace or grand sacrifice.'
'But in truth, they are just trying to release their anger and hatred on these people. A truly good person doesn't make other sacrifices, and the truly bad person doesn't care about sacrificing others.'
'Those who try to look good after sacrificing others are the people I hate the most. That's why if one day I have the strength to change the world, I will make sure these people can never cause any harm to others.'
Hearing that, Shinku showed a look of surprise for a long moment before he smiled and asked.
'Then, do you think you can achieve the strength to change the world?'
At this moment, Shinku saw confidence, not pride or arrogance, but confidence in those eyes, as Ken declared.
'I believe it. This world isn't fair, and it doesn't need to. Because I have what I need to become the strongest. I just need to work hard.'
At this moment, Shinku and his team were already rushing toward the battlefield of Team 25.
'Ken, you mustn't die here. Your dream is so good that I want to see a world where nobody can sacrifice innocent people. You haven't worked hard enough, Ken. So survive, just survive!'
