Jenzi Versus Sand Shinobi Jiro;

Bang!

A large explosion forced Jiro to retreat hurriedly and glare at the kid who just threw another Exploding Tag.

"Damn it! Just how many Exploding tags does this guy have? Then again, I should be thankful that he doesn't know how to manipulate those tags otherwise, I would be dead."

Jiro knew the danger of those Exploding tags. Even if one couldn't kill him directly, it would make him lose at least one part of his body.

That was more than enough for him to be cautious while facing those exploding tags.

But, there was one big problem. He didn't have any Jutsu that could kill Jenzi from a distance.

This was a serious problem when Jenzi could instantly throw Exploding tags towards him.

"No, I have to finish him quick otherwise, how can I face those two."

Jiro hurriedly shook his head, took out a sword from its sheath, and rushed toward Jenzi.

Jenzi wanted to throw more Exploding Tags, but he quickly realized that he couldn't rely on them forever.

He made up his mind and rushed toward Jiro with his Kunai.

Although Jiro didn't know why Jenzi suddenly decided not to use Exploding Tags, he couldn't help but feel excited.

"Die!"

Suddenly, Jiro increased his speed, attached Wind Release to his sword, and slashed forward.

The sharpness of his sword was enough to neatly cut apart Jenzi's Kunai, but the moment it did that, a strange sound came from it.

Jenzi dropped the Kunai and rushed back with all of his strength. The sword had already fallen. Its' tip scratched Jenzi's cheek and drew out some blood.

But Jiro was the one to suffer most as he was at the center of the explosion.

As the explosion slowly died down, Jenzi, who was busy bandaging his cheek, saw a strange wall in front of Jiro.

It was the most powerful Jutsu in his arsenal. Jiro never thought he would use it against his fight with a Genin.

But that's not important. What's even more embarrassing was the fact that it didn't protect him from the harm.

Wind Wall was a Jutsu that could create a wall in front of the user to block any incoming attack. But, because it was a wall but not a sphere, it didn't protect his back.

So, Jiro's back was burned due to the explosion. Thanks to the Wind Wall, he survived the worst-case scenario of losing his limbs.

But this was enough to make him angry.

Jiro had never felt this angry. Just looking at Jenzi, he felt like he could kill him with his eyes.

"No, I must kill him. I must kill him now. I will kill him right now."

Jiro made up his mind and gathered Wind Chakra on his throat while weaving hand signs.

He released a massive gust of wind from his mouth. But this time, Jenzi quickly used Earth Release to travel inside the ground and dodge the impact of Wind Release.

Seeing this, Jiro took out several Shuriken and threw them toward the ground. He wanted to check if there was any trap with Exploding Tags.

But realizing that Jenzi was inside the ground, he believed Jenzi wasn't stupid enough to put the tags on the ground.

Suddenly, he realized something and a cruel expression appeared on his face.

He took out some Exploding Tags and threw them on the ground.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

Upon activating those Exploding Tags, they began to destroy the ground. Every corner within fifty meters was under the impact of those explosions.

"Cough! Cough! Cough!"

Jenzi jumped out of the ground from a corner where his body was disheveled. Several burns and scars appeared on his skin.

'Damn it! I shouldn't have entered the ground. No wonder Sensei always scolded me. My ideas are never so good.'

'But if Ken isn't wrong, we will face more enemies. I can't get injured here. I must use other Exploding Tags even if I finish all of them.'

But while Jenzi was thinking about his next plan, Jiro had already rushed toward Jenzi.

Jiro had only one intention, and it was to kill Jenzi as quickly as possible. To do so, he had even used every single Exploding Tag that he had.

Even though it didn't kill him, it did the job.

Jiro took out several Shuriken and threw them toward Jenzi. As soon as he did that, he quickly started using hand signs and clapped before thrusting his palms forward.

Two large wind gusts blew out of his palms and pushed those shurikens toward Jenzi, whose speed wasn't enough to dodge them.

He tried to throw three shuriken that were connected with Exploding Tags.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Although he was fast, Jenzi still felt the flame touching his face during the explosion.

His shuriken collided when they were still close to him because Jiro's shurikens were too fast.

"Die, brat!"

Jiro saw his attack succeed and immediately rushed forward. As soon as he came ten meters close to Jenzi, he quickly jumped in mid-air and started weaving hand signs.

"Ahhh!"

But his fingers shook when he heard a scream coming from afar. As a friend and comrade, he instantly recognized the source of this scream.

But that made him even more stunned. He was so shocked that he forgot to use his Ninjutsu when he got the perfect opportunity.

Although Jenzi didn't recognize this voice, he knew it didn't belong to Mito or Ken.

'That means Ken has already dealt with his enemy. I need to create some distance from this guy until Ken arrives.'

Jenzi took the opportunity to run away when he saw Jiro stop. He didn't run away from the battlefield but rather changed it.

He ran towards Ken in the hope of finding Ken before Jiro launched another attack.

Due to the previous explosions, he had suffered some burns on his face and injuries on his head, shoulders, and back.

So, he wanted to suffer as much damage as he could.

"Oh, no! I missed."

Jiro's expression turned ugly when he saw Jenzi run away. At this moment, the best way to deal with the situation was to reunite with his teammate.

And that's exactly what he planned to do. Instead of chasing after Jenzi, he rushed toward his comrade's battlefield.

"I need to find Kenji." Jiro muttered as he ran as fast as he could.

He had only covered two hundred meters when he heard a cold voice behind him.

"Sorry, but I can't let you join him. At least not now!"

As soon as he heard that, Jiro turned around while using hand signs.

Bang! Bang! Thud! Thud!

His full-powered Great Breakthrough managed to destroy everything within ten meters of range, but that didn't include Ken.

At this moment, Ken appeared from his right and kicked him on the waist.

Bang! Thud!

Jiro was sent flying several meters to the ground. He felt a bone-cracking kick on his waist, almost making him unable to move.

But, he was strong enough to release Chakra on his waist and stand on his own.

Just when he stood up, he felt something touching his legs, and before he could comprehend it, he was pulled underground.

"No!"

Jiro tried to jump by kicking on the soil but he was held tightly by someone. This someone was none other than Jenzi.

"No, no, no, don't!" Although Jiro was ready to face death, he still felt fear when he was in front of one.

Ken walked toward him casually and swiped his kunai. The Kunai cleanly slit through Jiro's neck.

"Alright, come out!"

Ken pulled out Jiro and stored him inside the scroll. This was the second Chunin that he killed.

Although he didn't fight him for long, since he killed him, there were some changes in his second task.

That was good news because he needed a boost in strength if he wanted to face the next enemy.

Deep down, he had the feeling that these Chunin weren't the only ones he was going to face.

The main reason why he thought of that was simply because they didn't use flare.

Considering that they were supposed to be bait, these Chunin should've used the flare to alert others the moment the puppeteer was killed.

Jiro didn't do that. Instead, he chose to fight with his comrade which meant they weren't supposed to use flare

And this could only mean not using flare as a signal.

'I need to finish the last Chunin and recover our Chakra. Although I didn't use much during my second fight, the same can't be said for these two.'

'Mito must have been using Hiding in the Mist Jutsu for a long time.'

Ken immediately glanced at Jenzi and said.

"Follow me but don't interfere. You just need to recover your Chakra with Mito."

Jenzi didn't argue and followed after Ken.
