"You should've intervened in Soma's affairs sooner!"

Loki scolded as she found Asahi after returning from the guild. It was obvious that Soma's sudden change had a lot to do with him. After all, no other gods had the time or inclination to meddle in Soma's issues.

Given Soma's radical actions, Asahi's influence was highly likely.

"That's right, it was indeed me. Soma's wine is indeed good, but frankly, his Familia is rotten to the core. It's beyond redemption, so I just gave him a little push, which made him reflect for a bit. These decisions weren't mine to make. He made them himself. I merely guided him!"

Asahi said nonchalantly. He had only nudged Soma toward self-reflection. Everything that followed had been Soma's own choice, though Soma's methods were admittedly effective.

"So it's really you. No wonder Soma's had such a drastic change. Still, it's a shame that he went back to the divine realm. The stock of his divine wine isn't much, and he sold what was left to the families of the adventurers who died."

"I bet Soma's divine wine prices skyrocketed. But Riveria and Finn definitely won't allow me to buy any!"

She added, already scheming. But she wasn't wrong, as Soma's departure meant the scarcity of divine wine, and no one else had Soma's expertise in the craft.

As the god of wine, Soma had unique skills that no one could replicate. If other gods could easily imitate him, Orario would have been flooded with divine wine long ago.

But now that Soma was gone, the remaining stock of divine wine would become even more coveted.

"Less wine means higher prices. And you know how gods are, something rare becomes even more valuable," Loki mused, feeling the sting of that economic truth.

The price of divine wine would soar beyond reason, and gods who once indulged would now have to tighten their belts.

In the past, Loki would face complaints and resistance from her own Familia whenever she tried to buy divine wine. This time, even she might not be able to afford it, with prices as high as they were bound to get.

"I don't understand why you all love drinking so much!"

Asahi muttered, shaking his head. He'd never been interested in alcohol. It was a habit that stretched back to his past life and still held true now.

As time passed, the day of the Monsterphilia arrived. Organized by the Ganesha Familia, its purpose was simple: to showcase and introduce hybrid creatures, a blend of humans and monsters, also known as Xenos. These beings were the result of natural dungeon evolution, creatures born with intelligence and free will.

The event was meant to pave the way for society's acceptance of these intelligent monsters. Ganesha and Ouranos had slowly started the concept of Monsterphilia to train people to accept creatures that weren't pure monsters.

The Ganesha Familia tamed monsters and gradually made them less terrifying to the people of Orario.

Their hope was that by doing this, the Xenos could eventually be brought out of hiding and accepted by the city's inhabitants.

After all, in Orario, everyone's instinct in the dungeon was to kill monsters on sight. That was the key issue. They are enemies, and between adventurers and monsters, there is no room for relaxation.

Frankly, Asahi found the plan chaotic. It was a convoluted approach, considering the origin of dungeon monsters.

Dungeon monsters were born from the dungeon itself, created with innate hatred and malice toward humans, something that couldn't be changed.

The Xenos were special because they were a different kind of monster, one that had evolved with intelligence and autonomy.

But regular monsters? They were spawned by the dungeon to fight and kill. Trying to train them was a fool's errand.

The Ganesha Familia should have simply summoned the gods and had them openly declare the existence of the Xenos.

Regarding whether other gods would agree to help, it was quite simple. The guild was a major force, and offering some benefits would easily sway them.

With Ouranos, the head of the guild, holding much influence, a favor from him was highly valuable. Strong Familia would likely take the lead.

Smaller Familias would naturally agree and gradually introduce the Xenos to Orario. Over time, this approach would allow the city to adapt, which was far better than the disorganized plans in place before.

Ganesha and Ouranos's methods were truly a headache. They muddled things up, and even now, with various dungeon challenges, the situation remained chaotic. This Monsterphilia was no exception.

In the original work, the Monsterphilia followed two plot lines. One involved Bell being attacked by monsters, and at the time, Hestia gave him a newly forged weapon. The other focused on Loki Familia.

In the dungeon, monsters surged from below. The plant-like monsters that emerged were early forms of the ones in the original work, transformed from spheres into large, tree-like creatures.

But now, on the day of the Monsterphilia, something went wrong. Of course, Ganesha Familia wasn't the source of the trouble this time.

In the original work, Freya had released monsters to test Bell's growth.

However, this time, Bell had joined Apollo Familia. The key difference was the emergence of the new world, which captivated Freya's interest. She had shifted her focus entirely there, leaving Bell behind.

Without Freya's interference, no monsters were released, but the plant monsters from the dungeon still appeared. Once they surfaced, they began rampaging across the plaza.

Luckily, Loki Familia had just returned from a break and immediately launched an attack on the monsters. Even without their full arsenal of weapons, their strength had grown so much that they weren't caught off guard.

During their time in the other world, they had been taught by others and learned a few new magical spells. While not many, these new abilities were incredibly useful and didn't require long incantations like traditional spells, although they weren't as powerful as this world's magic.

Still, they got the job done.

The monsters were formidable, and without proper weapons, many adventurers found themselves limited in power.

But the members of Loki Familia quickly overpowered the plant creatures, using a variety of magical attacks. Lightning spells, ice spikes, and numerous other techniques were unleashed in rapid succession.

"Is Loki's entire familia planning to become magic users? How does everyone know so many spells?"

Onlookers were puzzled. It was strange, after all, in this world, only a select few chose to focus on magic, and even fewer possessed a natural talent for it.
