Naruto: My Sign In System Is Too Overpowered

Chapter 18: C17: Training Hard, First Missions Begin

For the past ten years, Naruto had suffered nothing but discrimination and hardship—all because of Danzo and the Third Hokage.

Danzo had always desired the power of a Jinchūriki.

So, he had his subordinates spread rumors across the village.

They called Naruto the "demon fox," twisting the truth while hiding the fact that he was the son of the Fourth Hokage, Namikaze Minato.

And what did Hiruzen Sarutobi do?

Nothing.

He let Danzo manipulate the village, never stepping in to clear Naruto's name.

As the child of a hero, Naruto should have been honored, respected.

Instead—

He grew up eating expired milk and instant noodles.

He was hated, ignored, and constantly ridiculed by the villagers.

Why?

Because the Hokage chose silence.

Looking back, all the tragedies that had happened in Konoha…

Hizashi Hyūga's forced suicide due to Kumogakure's demands.

Hatake Sakumo's death after being ostracized by the villagers.

The Uchiha Massacre, wiping out an entire clan.

And who was in charge every single time?

Hiruzen Sarutobi.

Maybe he wasn't as kind as he pretended to be.

Maybe he was just another man who clung to power, using every method necessary to keep control.

Konoha under the First and Second Hokage had been filled with powerful warriors.

But under the Third Hokage?

The village had lost nearly all of its strongest shinobi.

And maybe…

That wasn't an accident.

Kakashi's Announcement

Clap! Clap!

Kakashi's hands snapped together, breaking the tense silence.

"Alright, Team 7—go home and rest."

He gave them a lazy smile.

"Tomorrow morning, meet me under the Hokage's office. We'll start our first ninja missions."

"YES!"

Sakura fist-pumped the air.

"Finally! I'm officially a ninja! I won't have to—"

Her words stopped mid-sentence.

Because she had almost blurted out something embarrassing.

Her face turned bright red.

Naruto and Sasuke just gave her a look, shaking their heads.

"…Tch."

Sakura quickly covered her mouth, trying to act natural.

Lunch & Training

Since the bell test ended early, Team 7 didn't need to be tied to tree stumps as punishment.

So, instead, they split two bento boxes for lunch.

It was only 11 AM when Kakashi dismissed them.

And Naruto?

Naruto immediately headed to his usual self-service bento shop.

He grabbed two full meal boxes, sat down, and dug in.

The food?

Average.

But this place had two important things.

1. The meals were cheap and filling.

2. It was self-service, meaning no one could kick him out.

No angry villagers.

No dirty looks.

Just a hot meal in peace.

"Ahhh, that hit the spot."

Naruto leaned back, rubbing his full stomach.

But there was no time to relax.

With the entire afternoon free, he went straight to the training grounds.

If he wanted to master the Eight Gates, he needed a stronger body.

Right now, it was his most powerful attack technique.

If he could open the Seventh Gate…

Then, for now—

No one in the ninja world could match him.

Not yet.

Because the real monsters wouldn't appear until later.

"Alright. Time to push myself."

And so, the brutal training began:

500 laps around the training ground.

3,000 push-ups.

1,000 squats.

1,500 pull-ups.

3 hours of striking practice against wooden dummies.

By the time the sun began to set, Naruto was exhausted.

His legs shook.

His arms felt like lead.

His whole body screamed in pain.

But he still pushed through.

Barely making it home, he stripped off his sweat-soaked clothes and took a cold shower.

Then, after a quick meal—

He collapsed straight into bed.

A New Day Begins

5:50 AM.

The alarm clock buzzed.

Naruto's eyes snapped open.

"Ahhhh~~! That was a good sleep."

He stretched his arms, feeling the soreness from yesterday's training.

But then—

He noticed something.

He felt stronger.

The exhaustion from yesterday? Completely gone.

His body felt tougher.

More powerful.

'The Uzumaki bloodline… It really is something.'

He had always heard about the Uzumaki Clan's monstrous stamina and recovery.

And now—

He was finally experiencing it firsthand.

"System, sign in."

Ding!

[Sign-in successful! Rewards are being distributed.]

Rewards:

3 Explosive Tags

Fire Style: Flame Bomb

3 Military Ration Pills

Naruto smirked.

Nothing huge, but useful nonetheless.

After brushing his teeth and eating breakfast, he grabbed his gear and headed out.

Because there was one more thing he had to do.

Hinata.

She was waiting.

And Naruto wasn't going to miss it.

---

Morning Training with Hinata

As expected—

Hinata was already at the training ground, standing quietly.

The moment she saw Naruto, her face turned red.

"N-Naruto-kun… g-good morning."

She twirled her fingers, her shy habit showing.

Naruto grinned.

"Morning, Hinata. You always get here before me."

Then, he scratched his head.

"…Did you have breakfast?"

For a second—

Even Naruto realized how awkward that question was.

His face twitched.

'Damn. That was so lame.'

But Hinata?

She looked overjoyed.

Like Naruto had just asked the most important question in the world.

"Y-Yes! I-I already ate…"

Naruto chuckled.

"Well then, let's get started."

And so, the training began.

Warm-ups.

Paired sparring.

Striking drills.

The same routine as always.

But this time—

Naruto felt lighter. Faster. Stronger.

Time flew by in an instant.

By 7 AM, training ended.

Naruto and Hinata parted ways, heading toward their respective team meeting spots.

And as Naruto walked toward the Hokage's office…

Two figures were waiting for him.

Yamashiro Aoba.

Namashi.

They were both elite Chūnin serving as Hiruzen's personal guards.

And as they watched Naruto approach from a distance…

They couldn't hide their emotions.

Envy.

Because they knew.

Naruto was going to surpass them all.
