Chapter 5: The Resurgence of Dark Medical Jutsu

"Come on, come into my body!" Huang Quan shouted, his voice full of excitement. Wuliang did not hesitate. With a hum, dark chakra erupted from behind the stone door and surged into Huang Quan's body.

Once the transfer was complete, Huang Quan, without flinching, sutured the wound on his chest and abdomen with a single hand. A confident smirk spread across his face as he surveyed the result. "The ritual is complete."

"Impressive surgical technique," someone observed. "I wonder how this compares to Tsunade's skills in Konoha."

"Comparison? Tsunade's medical jutsu are the finest in the ninja world!" another voice responded quickly.

The others watching the display couldn't help but comment on the unusual nature of Huang Quan's technique. "From what I can tell, this 'dark medical jutsu' is designed specifically to accommodate Wuliang's soul. The chakra transmission process was just a side effect."

Tsunade, observing the scene from afar, made a remark as she looked up. "His suturing skills are good, but this isn't medical ninjutsu as I know it. It's more about transformation and enhancement rather than healing."

Shizune thought for a moment before adding, "It seems like this dark medical jutsu has a significant impact on the recipient, possibly modifying them to carry the soul of Wuliang."

With a wild laugh, Huang Quan stood tall, his arms raised as he shouted: "Awaken, my army!" The power of Wuliang coursed through his body, and purple chakra shot out in every direction. The small mounds in the underground space shattered, revealing countless terracotta soldiers.1

The army of warriors, previously lying dormant, now rose at Huang Quan's command. He gazed at the army in pride and ordered, "The first target is the ancestral hall, where Wuliang's body is sealed."

But Wuliang interrupted, a dark tone in his voice. "Before that, there's another enemy to deal with. The witch of the Ghost Country must be defeated—she is the only one capable of sealing me."

Without hesitation, Huang Quan responded, "Understood."

Wuliang's voice echoed through the underground chamber, growing more sinister: "When I am fully resurrected, I will crush the Five Great Shinobi Nations and establish the only country in the world—a kingdom that will last a thousand years!"

The words reverberated through the earth, reaching the farthest corners of the Ninja World.

"Wait a minute," a voice interrupted from the crowd. "These puppets... It turns out that Huang Quan and Wuliang invaded the Land of Earth fourteen years ago!"

"Yes! These puppets appeared mysteriously and vanished just as quickly. It was the witch from the Ghost Country who sealed Wuliang!"

Some of the older ninjas in the crowd nodded. "I remember the war. At first, we thought it was just some new form of puppetry created by the Sand Village, but this—this is the truth."

Several familiar faces began to recognize the significance. "The truth behind these terracotta warriors and the Ghost Country is being revealed," one of them murmured.

"Anyone who participated in the Third Great Ninja War and fought in the Land of Wind, Land of Earth, and Land of Fire will recognize these events. However, information about Wuliang and his army has been kept confidential until now."

The Sky Curtain flashed with new images, showing the unfolding developments.

In the Hokage Building, the atmosphere in the meeting room was tense. Sakura turned to Kakashi with a question. "Teacher Kakashi, do you know about this?"

The rest of Team 7, including Sai and Yamato, looked to their leader. Kakashi paused for a moment, looking over at Guy before answering. "I've fought against those puppets before, but I didn't know the full story about the Ghost Country or the witch that sealed Wuliang. From what I can gather, it seems like the witch prevented Wuliang's full resurrection."

Satisfied with his answer, the team went quiet. They knew that the most pressing matter now was to gather intel about the events to come.

On the outskirts of the Land of Lightning, Scorpion and Deidara were on a mission. Deidara glanced at the Sky Curtain as the Ghost Army appeared on screen. "What do you think of these puppets, Scorpion?"

From within his red-hued amber, Scorpion scoffed. "They're not impressive. I studied them during the war. Sure, they use chakra resonance to control the puppets, but the sensitivity is low. They're nothing but cannon fodder. As for immortality, it's more a novelty than an art."

"No! Art should explode!" Deidara retorted, his voice full of passion. "Your taste in art is as bad as ever!"

The two immediately began bickering, as they always did, turning their attention away from the grave situation unfolding.

Back at a border camp near the Ghost Country, the terracotta warriors led by Wuliang breached the defenses with no resistance. The soldiers there were barely able to send word of the attack before being overrun.

The news spread quickly across the neighboring nations. In Konoha, Tsunade ordered troops to be deployed, and scenes of preparation flashed across the Sky Curtain. Naruto, ever the optimist, was seen in the streets of Konoha, helping a young girl who had been knocked over in the chaos. With a quick jump, he landed atop a building, waving goodbye to her with a cheerful smile. "Be careful, little one!" he said before turning away.

As he leapt across the rooftops, he stood proudly on a high wall, hands on his hips, declaring with confidence, "The situation is urgent! It's time for me to show my true abilities!"

But, as some of the ninjas around Konoha laughed at his words, one voice echoed from the crowd, "Oh, he's the guy who died in the first place!"

The comment caused an outburst of laughter, but Naruto, undeterred, clenched his fists. "I won't die like that! Whatever the future holds, I'll smash through it!"

The Sky Curtain flickered once again, blocking some of the harsher comments, but the discussion among the Konoha ninjas continued. Neji quietly observed, deep in thought, about the idea of fate and destiny, but kept his thoughts to himself, knowing how things had changed since the images started appearing on the Sky Curtain.
