Naruto: From Konoha to One Piece

Chapter 104: Chapter 104: Raikage's Defiance

Facing the A-B combo standing in front of him, Shin shook his fists slightly, feeling a trace of surprise.

Just now, the A-B combo had managed to withstand one of his punches. Naturally, Shin was unharmed, but he hadn't expected the duo to suffer only minor injuries, coughing up just a bit of blood without much apparent impact on their combat effectiveness.

Such resilience was unexpected given that Shin had used about seventy to eighty percent of his strength—albeit without advanced techniques in his strikes. Ordinarily, a blow like that would reduce a typical ninja to a mist of blood and shattered bones. The A-B combo's ability to shrug it off with only some internal injuries showed extraordinary durability.

'It's not just their lightning armor,' he thought. 'It's more like their bodies have been strengthened and tempered by it. This level of endurance… it's comparable to tough, high-strength steel.'

The thought passed quickly, and Shin refocused on the two before him. "Are you done talking? If so, it's my turn to attack."

Suddenly, Shin vanished and struck a powerful blow aimed at the Fourth Raikage. However, despite his size and strength, the Fourth Raikage had speed to rival Shin's own. Knowing he was at a disadvantage in a direct clash, the Raikage dodged, lightning flashing around him as he avoided the strike.

Boom! A shockwave erupted as the punch missed, almost sending the Fourth Raikage sprawling. He quickly leaped back, eyes narrowed, cautiously approaching close combat for the first time.

Meanwhile, Killer Bee activated his tailed beast power. Lacking his brother's defenses and speed, he knew that taking a punch from Shin might end the fight for him right then and there.

The Fourth Raikage, feeling both shame and a surge of determination, gritted his teeth and pushed his lightning armor to its limit. Intense electricity crackled around him, so potent it even caused him some physical strain, yet he charged ahead undeterred.

Shin noted the Fourth Raikage's resolve and felt a rare thrill. Since arriving in this world, he hadn't encountered anyone who could engage him so directly. Though the Raikage was still leagues below the One Piece world, this clash was becoming enjoyable.

In the furious exchange of blows that followed, a blur of dark and blue light flashed as the two clashed repeatedly. To extend the thrill of the fight, Shin held back slightly, letting his aura spread out defensively rather than condensing it. This way, both his offensive and defensive power were somewhat reduced.

Even so, after dozens of rounds, the Fourth Raikage was finally forced back, coughing blood as a powerful kick from Shin sent him flying.

"Your stamina's lacking," Shin commented, shaking his head in mild disappointment.

At first, the Raikage's formidable lightning armor had let him keep pace in this high-intensity fight. But once his initial fury had cooled, his stamina dropped sharply, and Shin's blows began to land more effectively.

Compared to the relentless stamina and durability that the other world demanded of its warriors, the fighters here seemed fragile. Battles back then often stretched over days and nights. Yet here, even the Third Raikage's legendary endurance had only lasted three days in his fight against Iwagakure before exhaustion claimed him.

Moreover, the Fourth Raikage's current state was one of forced overexertion, almost akin to activating the Eight Gates or adrenaline-induced strength.

"Ugh… cough, cough!" The Fourth Raikage clutched his chest, where Shin's punch had left a deep impression and fractured several ribs. Blood foamed at his lips, evidence of a punctured lung.

'Looks like his broken rib punctured his lung,' Shin thought clinically. Though the people of this world had remarkable resilience, without extraordinary transformations or sage body traits, they couldn't surpass human limitations. As a result of this injury, the Raikage's combat power was effectively reduced to almost nothing.

By contrast, in the other world, a combatant with sufficient will and vitality could shrug off such wounds and continue fighting for hundreds more rounds.

'Indeed, the people of this world are built differently,' Shin mused, casting a fleeting glance of admiration at the Raikage before Killer Bee charged in once more. Killer Bee had already partially transformed into his tailed beast state, his form expanding with raw, furious energy.

"Tentacle Attack!" Killer Bee roared as eight enormous limbs smashed down toward Shin's head. In response, Shin raised his fist to meet the attack.

The tiny figure of Shin appeared vastly outmatched by the enormous tailed beast, but when the two forces collided, it was Killer Bee who was sent tumbling.

Undeterred, the Eight-Tails rose again. As a creature of chakra with a partially immaterial form, Killer Bee's Tailed Beast form was highly resistant to physical attacks and had no singular weak point. Ordinary strikes could hardly damage it, let alone eliminate it.

Shin had no intention of going to the extreme lengths necessary to fully disperse the Eight-Tails' chakra; while possible, it would take considerable effort and energy. Why waste so much energy on a task he could accomplish more simply?

At that moment, the other Hidden Cloud ninjas arrived on the battlefield. Though they had reached the scene earlier, the high-speed exchange between Shin and the Fourth Raikage had been too intense for them to intervene. Attacking would have been risky for a ninja of any level, as they couldn't be sure whether their attacks might hit Shin or the Raikage himself. All they could do was watch from the sidelines.
