Chapter 91: The Chūnin Exam Invitation!

Nagato's decision to appoint Obito as Akatsuki's leader was met with no objections. Thus, Obito smoothly assumed the role of the organization's head.

However, there was still no news about the revival of the Three-Tails, which meant the Eye of the Moon Plan could not yet commence. The Akatsuki remained in a state of dormancy.

One day, Amegakure received an unexpected invitation from the New Leaf Village.

"Chūnin Exams?"

Uchiha Yi was surprised, his curiosity piqued.

"Should we attend?"

Konan asked. Over the past few years, she and Nagato had been grooming Uchiha Yi to become the next leader of Amegakure. "Aww, Hinata, that's way too calm of a reaction!" Karin pouted, clearly dissatisfied. Just as she was about to press further, the third team member arrived.

It was White.

His appearance brought back an embarrassing memory for Karin—when they first met, she had mistaken him for a girl, earning herself some good-natured teasing.

"White, you still look exactly the same!"

Although she wanted to suggest he adopt a more masculine appearance, Karin held back, not wanting to sound hurtful.

"I'm used to it."

White's gentle smile radiated warmth, making it impossible for anyone to harbor negative feelings toward him.

"Forget it, not worth arguing with you!"

Karin shook her head and dropped the subject. She knew White's gentle demeanor stemmed from a rough past, much like her own. Both had endured hardship and rejection before finding sanctuary in Amegakure, where they were given a chance to heal and grow.

But trauma wasn't so easily erased. Those who couldn't overcome it risked spiraling into madness, as evidenced by countless examples in their world.

Take Gaara of the Sand Village, for instance. Tormented by his father, he became an unhinged killing machine, with a warped sense of self and morality.

Compared to that, White and Karin's recovery was nothing short of remarkable.

Suddenly, a thunderous roar broke the calm, capturing everyone's attention.

Looking up, they saw a sleek sports car speeding toward them, roaring with power. With a dramatic drift, it came to a stop a meter in front of them.

"Yo! Everyone ready?"

The driver, a strikingly handsome young man, rolled down the window and removed his sunglasses, revealing a face that could charm anyone.

Karin immediately went into fangirl mode, her heart practically bursting as she gazed at Uchiha Yi. Why is he so attractive?!

The once petite 1.5-meter boy had grown into a tall, 1.8-meter heartthrob. Uchiha Yi's commanding presence only added to his allure.

"Alright, Karin, stop daydreaming and get in the car. The others are waiting," Uchiha Yi teased.

"Ah! Yes!"

Snapping out of her reverie, Karin scrambled to the passenger seat, claiming the spot beside him before anyone else could.

Hinata and White, ever composed, quietly took their seats in the back.
