"Need a cell serum?"

Genya listened to Hikari's explanation, then looked again at Uchiha Shisui on the bed.

He didn't expect Shisui's injuries to be so severe!

"The injuries are too serious. He needs a cell serum to activate his cell activity and allow his cells to fuse together again!" Hikari quickly explained. "If you had come half a day earlier, I might have been able to treat him!"

Hikari could tell how much Genya cared about Shisui, so she added a bit more.

"Can his cells be extracted?" Genya asked, curious.

"They've been extracted, and the cells used are ones that won't be rejected by Uchiha cells. I'm starting to prepare the serum for him," Hikari answered. 

She looked at Shisui and added, "His cell activity is a bit closer to the Uzumaki cells. If everything goes smoothly, the serum should be ready in about a year!"

"I understand," Genya nodded and then asked curiously, "How about Uncle Shin's cell serum? He's been pushing me lately, saying the time I promised him is almost up!"

"Genya-sama... you don't know, but the Uzumaki cells still haven't fully merged with theirs," Hikari replied, a little helpless. "But it's almost there. Let Uncle Shin wait for another six months. We're about to break through this barrier!"

It seemed like Uchiha cells and Uzumaki cells had some kind of barrier between them. 

Even though they were nearly fused, they still couldn't fully merge! 

Otherwise, Uchiha Shin could have injected the serum months ago!

"A barrier between cells?" Genya murmured, but didn't say more. He simply motioned for her to continue her research, reminding her not to forget to train while doing so.

Right now, training was the most important!

In the future world, strength was everything!

After giving Hikari his instructions, he walked up to Uchiha Shisui's bedside.

Shisui clearly felt Genya approaching. He struggled to sit up and turned his head toward him.

"You can still sit up. Looks like you're recovering well!" Genya smiled as he looked at Shisui.

"Heh... I can still hang in there!" Shisui also smiled, but his voice was a bit hoarse.

Since he had arrived here last night, he had realized that this lab was one of Genya's most mysterious places. It seemed like the people here were researching something very secretive.

To be honest, when he was in Konoha before, he didn't notice anything unusual. This shows just how secretive Genya's actions were!

However, Shisui was brought here by him!

"If you can hold on, that's enough. For the time being, you might have to stay here," Genya said as he sat down on a chair, chatting casually, sometimes in bursts.

It seemed that Genya was in a good mood today!

"Has the news of my death already spread in Konoha?" After a long silence, Shisui asked another question.

It was something that had been bothering him.

"Yeah, it's already spread. And here's something for you—I'll tell you now, it wasn't someone from the Uchiha clan who leaked it!" Genya answered calmly.

"What did the Third Hokage say? Did he say anything about it?" Shisui still had some idealized view of Sarutobi Hiruzen. He didn't want to believe that the Third Hokage was involved in this matter!

He hoped the Third Hokage would step up, send people to search for him, and investigate how he really died.

Maybe even punish Danzo!

But Genya decisively shook his head.

"No, nothing. Guess who could spread a piece of news like this all over Konoha so quickly? Just like how the news of Konoha White Fang, Hatake Sakumo, failing his mission spread like wildfire."

Now, in the eyes of the Third Hokage, Shisui was already dead. There was no need to care about Shisui's feelings anymore!

Of course, what about controlling Itachi?

That would need a different method. Itachi, unlike Shisui, had a different personality, and thus required a different approach.

"Heh, is that so?" Shisui smiled bitterly and leaned against the side. His body felt drained, but he also understood a few things. "I gave everything for Konoha. He should know what kind of person I am. Why would he do this to me?"

Shisui wasn't angry about his own situation. He was more disappointed with Sarutobi Hiruzen.

"Why did he want to kill you?" Genya looked at Shisui and asked calmly, "First, it should be for political reasons. He wants to wipe out the Uchiha clan. Second, it's because of your unpredictability. When you unlocked the Mangekyo Sharingan, what ability did it grant you? Did you tell the Third Hokage?"

"Huh? My Mangekyō ability can change people's thoughts. I named it Kotoamatsukami, but… I want to use it to change the Uchiha coup!" 

Shisui was somewhat confused. What was uncertain about him? Before this, he had always been loyal to Konoha!

"Change people's thoughts? That's your mistake!" Genya looked at Uchiha Shisui and slowly spoke. 

"Have you ever thought that the Third Hokage, that old fox, would let someone who can change others' thoughts stay by his side? You're like an explosive tag, ready to blow up at any time!"

"This is your death warrant. If you don't reveal your ability, you might live a little longer!"

"But..." Shisui hesitated. "But I never thought about using Kotoamatsukami on the Third Hokage!"

"Not thinking about it and being able to do it are two different things. With someone as cunning and cautious as the Third Hokage, from the moment you revealed your ability, the outcome was already set!" Genya answered indifferently. 

Over the years, he felt he understood the Third Hokage better than Shisui did.

Shisui fell silent. Perhaps Genya was right. It seemed like Genya had warned him before, but he didn't pay attention!

Sometimes, a person really has to experience great highs and lows to understand certain things.

"I still don't understand something!" Shisui's face was still pale. "Why save me? Now, I'm a cripple. I've lost my eyes. Even if they are restored, I'll still be useless!"

He couldn't understand. Even if he were healed, he would still be a powerless cripple. Why was Genya going through so much trouble to save him?

"I told you. I can make you stronger. I can restore your sight!" Genya said confidently. He would inject him with cell medicine and replace his eyes.

In the future, Uchiha Shisui would be one of his greatest assets. Genya also knew Shisui's character—he would always work hard for him!

"Restore my sight?" Shisui murmured softly.

"Don't worry. You will regain your sight!" Genya looked at the still somewhat confused Shisui and suddenly said, "From now on, focus on practicing ninjutsu in the lab!"

"Practice ninjutsu?" Shisui froze for a moment, then hesitated, looking at Genya. "The ninjutsu you mean... is it that ninjutsu?"

In an instant, Shisui's sluggish expression changed. It was as if he saw a new glimmer of hope!
