After the Raikage and Tsuchikage failed, both the Kazekage and Mizukage attempted to strike the Ten-Tails, but despite their best efforts, they could not even manage to leave a scratch on the beast. The Ten-Tails remained completely unharmed and uninjured, its overwhelming power evident.
Following this, Madara and Obito commanded the Ten-Tails to strike the Allied Shinobi Forces. However, despite the Ten-Tails' immense power, its attack was largely ineffective. This was thanks to Shikaku Nara, who was coordinating the battlefield strategy from the Allied Shinobi Forces' headquarters. He carefully instructed the various units on how to avoid and counter the Ten-Tails' attacks. Shikaku's strategy worked flawlessly, keeping casualties to a minimum. If not for his precise and timely guidance, the number of dead and injured would have risen to terrifying levels, considering how powerful the Ten-Tails truly was.
Frustrated by their failure to cause any meaningful damage, the Ten-Tails grew furious. In its rage, it prepared to launch a Tailed Beast Bomb, a devastating attack, at the Allied Shinobi Forces. Madara and Obito guided this attack with the intention of wiping out large numbers of shinobi.
But unexpectedly, the Tailed Beast Bomb missed its target, landing at a considerable distance from the Allied Shinobi Forces. There were two possible explanations for this: either it was the Ten-Tails' first time using the Tailed Beast Bomb, which caused an accuracy issue, or Shikaku's detailed instructions helped the forces avoid the attack just in time. The latter seemed more likely, given the perfect coordination displayed by the ninja army.
This failure to cause significant harm only infuriated Madara and Obito further. They grew increasingly annoyed by the flawless coordination of the Allied Shinobi Forces, which was all due to the strategic planning and instructions from headquarters. It felt to them as though they were wielding an immensely powerful weapon, but couldn't even crush what they saw as insignificant enemies, like ants.
Determined to shift the tide of battle, Madara and Obito decided that the next step should be to eliminate the Allied Shinobi Forces' headquarters, which was the source of their strategic advantage. If they could take out the command center, the army's coordination would fall apart. Without delay, they had the Ten-Tails prepare another massive Tailed Beast Bomb. As the attack gathered power in the creature's mouth, everyone in the vicinity could sense the enormous danger it posed.
Once fully charged, the Ten-Tails aimed at the Allied Shinobi Forces' headquarters and released the Tailed Beast Bomb. At first, the shinobi on the battlefield were confused, as it appeared that the bomb had been fired into the air rather than directly at them. They couldn't immediately understand what Madara and Obito were trying to accomplish by seemingly missing their targets. But their confusion turned to horror as they realized the bomb was aimed squarely at their headquarters, where Shikaku and the other commanders were located.
Ino-Shika-Cho quickly realized the deadly intent of the attack. They understood that the Tailed Beast Bomb's speed and destructive power were overwhelming, but despite their quick thinking, they were unable to act in time. Even if they had been fast enough to intercept the bomb, it was doubtful they could have done anything to stop it. The sheer power contained within the Ten-Tails' Tailed Beast Bomb was far beyond what most ninja could handle. It was clear that once the bomb reached its target, it would result in catastrophic destruction.
Both Shikamaru and Ino had red eyes as they fought to hold back their tears. They knew that once the Tailed Beast Bomb hit the headquarters, their fathers, who were stationed there, would certainly die.

Meanwhile, inside the headquarters, the commanders were fully aware of what was about to happen. But all of them remained calm, knowing there was no escape. They decided to continue their duties without hesitation.
"Even though I won't get to see my daughter get married, I'm happy knowing she'll be the wife of someone like Jiryoku," said Inoichi with a peaceful smile on his face.
Shikaku grinned. "I feel blessed to have lived long enough to see my son outdo me in strength." With a playful chuckle, he continued, "As for outsmarting me, well, that's a whole different story – I'm not holding my breath!"
---
Just when it seemed inevitable that the headquarters would be destroyed, a sudden flash of black light appeared, like a laser slicing vertically through the Tailed Beast Bomb. Wherever the black light passed, there was a thin distortion in space, leaving everyone who saw it in awe. As the light continued to descend toward the ground, it left a massive, miles-long cut in the earth.
At the same moment, the Tailed Beast Bomb, which had been moving at an incredible speed, came to an abrupt halt. The bomb was cleanly split in half down the middle, as though effortlessly sliced with no resistance. This showcased the overwhelming power behind the attack that had stopped it.
When Shikamaru, Kakashi, and Obito saw this, they immediately recognized who had saved the Headquarters from the Ten-Tails' attack. They had seen this technique only once before and knew the signature move belonged to none other than Jiryoku.
They were right—Jiryoku had indeed intervened, stopping the Tailed Beast Bomb in its tracks and saving the headquarters from certain destruction.
Jiryoku stood calmly, watching as the two halves of the Tailed Beast Bomb exploded with a deafening "BOOM," sending shockwaves across the entire battlefield, shaking the world.
Jiryoku had come to the headquarters with two objectives. The first, of course, was to save Shikaku and Inoichi from the Ten-Tails' devastating attack. The second was to confirm whether Amado or Isshiki were present on the battlefield, as per the storyline in Boruto, where Ao had been rescued.
