Amegakure, in the room of its leader, Hanzo of the Salamander.

The flickering candlelight cast shadows as Hanzo looked at the letter handed to him by his subordinate.

It was from Shimura Danzo of Konoha, with instructions to proceed according to plan.

A figure slowly rose from behind Hanzo, cloaked in black.

Beneath the hood were a pair of eerie eyes, and the voice was low and hoarse as it spoke: "More people from Konoha?"

Hanzo replied, "Shimura Danzo wants me to join him in wiping out the Akatsuki organization."

The cloaked figure slowly said, "Danzo is a sly and treacherous man; he's surely plotting something."

Hanzo lowered his head, thinking deeply.

The cloaked figure continued, "But for now, cooperating with them wouldn't hurt. It will help us destroy the Rinnegan."

Hanzo responded, "Have you never considered that Danzo might be after the Rinnegan as well?"

The cloaked figure said, "Danzo isn't the Hokage, and how many ninjas can he bring? This is the Land of Rain, after all. It's up to you how things play out here."

"If Danzo turns against us, Amegakure can use Konoha's unauthorized military actions in the Land of Rain as an excuse to point the finger at Konoha.

Konoha is currently weak, and surely won't dare to go to war with Amegakure.

Hanzo remained silent, and the cloaked figure timed his words again:

The room was quiet for a long while before Hanzo slowly rose and walked out the door.

As he opened the door, a cold breeze blew in, extinguishing the candlelight in the room and knocking off the hood of the cloaked figure.

The figure, dressed in black robes, turned out to be a strange creature, its body split down the middle with black and white parts.

In the silent room, White Zetsu spoke: "This Hanzo of the Salamander is already considered a discarded pawn of the times, isn't he? Is he worth using?"

Black Zetsu replied, "The more a person is like that, the greater their desires grow. He's probably still scheming on how to take control of the Rinnegan."

White Zetsu remarked, "His ambitions are certainly not small."

Black Zetsu sneered coldly, "Without the power to back it up, it's all in vain."

Hokage Residence.

"Lord Danzo says that the Uchiha clan should give up their clan's land and property?"

Orochimaru looked at Danzo with slight surprise.

Danzo, expressionless, replied, "The Uchiha clan's numbers have dwindled, and it's a waste for them to occupy such a large area. It should be returned to the village."

Orochimaru glanced at Danzo's serious expression and couldn't help but want to laugh.

He said, "Lord Danzo, have you considered that doing this might provoke the Uchiha clan's dissatisfaction?"

Orochimaru felt he could no longer communicate with Danzo in a rational way.

This old man's mindset was completely out of the ordinary, imposing his own standards on others.

Why on earth did Sarutobi-sensei allow him to rise to this position?

Or did this old man think of himself as Sarutobi-sensei?

After thinking for a moment, Orochimaru smiled faintly and said,

"Lord Danzo, you may want to discuss this matter with Makoto."

Danzo immediately frowned. "Why must you involve him? Can't you make the decision yourself?"

He was somewhat resistant to working with that Makoto, looking down on such a young child.

Orochimaru said, "My research is at a critical point. I'll leave everything to Lord Danzo. Makoto will be cooperate with you."

Fugaku came for a visit, and Makoto met with him in the living room.

Fugaku felt a stir in his heart upon hearing this, glancing over at Makoto, who was still seated, curious about what this young man had been building up to.

"Since the Hokage himself cannot face Lord Danzo, why not find someone who can suppress Lord Danzo, Fugaku-senpai?"

"..."

Fugaku stood still for a moment, his gaze flickering.

Finally, he took a deep breath and bowed to Makoto. "Farewell, Makoto-kun."
