Naruto: After Seclusion Becoming Naruto Grandfather

Chapter 107: Chapter 107

As Sasuke Uchiha soared away, the Anbu observing the battle didn't hesitate to follow.

Sasuke and Naruto are clearly enemies, he thought. That leaves room to negotiate with Sasuke. Perhaps his relationship with Konoha can still be salvaged.

Naruto, on the other hand, was a different story entirely. The ninja couldn't shake the sense of futility in trying to deal with him. Naruto has become something else entirely—a force that can't be reasoned with by Konoha anymore.

The Anbu Ninja adjusted his mask and quietly pursued Sasuke.

Naruto stood in the clearing, brushing debris off his jacket as he pulled out his map. He studied it intently, marking his location and tracing the quickest path to the Daimyo's Mansion. Time was of the essence.

In the safety of his quarters, Uzumaki Chito observed everything through the talisman jade. The battle had been enlightening.

"So, Sasuke has received Orochimaru's Heaven Curse Mark," he mused aloud.

His fingers tapped against the table rhythmically as he pieced together the implications. Orochimaru had clearly taken his passing remarks about the Curse Mark seriously, diving even deeper into its study.

Using the Sharingan as experimental material… It's a logical move, he thought. Sasuke Uchiha, with his latent potential, is the perfect candidate.

He leaned back in his chair, his gaze distant. Orochimaru's actions made it clear that he had no qualms about turning old grudges into new opportunities. Sasuke's rivalry with Naruto wasn't just personal anymore—it was a tool for Orochimaru to further his ambitions.

Chito's eyes narrowed, his thoughts darkening. Orochimaru, tread carefully. If you stand against Shin-Konoha, I will not show mercy.

Far away, in the Land of Sound, Orochimaru paused mid-experiment, a sudden chill running down his spine. His golden eyes darted around the laboratory as an unshakable sense of foreboding settled over him.

"What… was that?" he muttered, his voice barely audible.

Despite the unsettling sensation, Orochimaru returned to his work. He poured his focus into refining the replication of the Byakugan, achieving a milestone—his replica Byakugan now retained fifty percent of the original's power.

This is impressive progress, Orochimaru thought, a rare smile gracing his lips. Hyuga Neji's cooperation as a subject has proven invaluable.

However, his work with the Sharingan lagged behind. The lack of sufficient Uchiha specimens had stalled his progress. Sasuke Uchiha remained his most promising subject, but the Curse Mark came with its own risks.

Sasuke's flight through the sky came to an abrupt end as the effects of the Curse Mark backlash began to take hold. The dark markings that had once surged with power now receded, leaving him pale and unsteady.

The wings on his back dissolved, folding into his body as he plummeted to the ground. He landed with a thud, barely conscious as exhaustion overtook him.

Nearby, the Anbu Ninja observing him couldn't believe his luck. "A perfect opportunity," he whispered to himself. Without hesitation, he hoisted the unconscious Sasuke onto his back. The Hokage will want to see this.

Meanwhile, Naruto's detour had finally brought him to the Daimyo Mansion of the Fire Country. But something was wrong.

The mansion was eerily silent. The gates stood open, and no guards patrolled the perimeter. Naruto's instincts flared with unease.

"What's going on here?" he muttered under his breath.

He ventured further into the grounds, searching for answers. Spotting a villager nearby, Naruto approached cautiously. "Hey, what happened here?"

The villager, startled by Naruto's sudden presence, hesitated before answering. "The Daimyo… he's been captured by bandit. The guards have gone to search for him."

Naruto blinked, momentarily stunned. Captured?

His frustration grew as he processed the news. I went through all that trouble to get here, only to find the Daimyo missing?

The situation felt absurdly familiar, dredging up memories of his earlier exploits. He recalled vividly the time he and his team had infiltrated the Daimyo Mansion of the Land of Lightning under the guise of bandit.

Shaking his head, Naruto refocused. "Do you know anything about these bandit? Who's leading them?"

The villager's expression grew wary, and he spoke reluctantly. "They say it's a group of Konoha traitor. Their leader is… someone named Naruto Uzumaki."
