Naruto: AFK System

Chapter 34: Chapter 34

Kakashi said, "The power inside Yoruha should be Sage Chakra."

"When Lord Jiraiya enters Sage Mode, his body also has that kind of chakra."

"Sage Chakra is much stronger than ordinary chakra."

"It's just that Yoruha has never studied Sage Techniques. The Third Hokage speculated that Yoruha might have a naturally inherited Sage Body, meaning his chakra is inherently Sage Chakra."

"Plus, Yoruha has an enormous amount of chakra. With the boost from Sage Chakra, if all his Sage Chakra was completely drained, it might explain the large-scale jutsu he performed last night."

Honestly, Kakashi found this explanation somewhat far-fetched.

He had witnessed Jiraiya's Sage Mode before.

While it was indeed powerful, none of the jutsu Jiraiya used could match the scale of destruction Yoruha had unleashed last night.

Not to mention that Yoruha's technique had directly annihilated everything within several kilometers of the explosion's center.

It was clear that the destruction Yoruha caused last night far exceeded anything Jiraiya was capable of.

But beyond this explanation, Kakashi couldn't think of any other way to rationalize the terrifying power Yoruha had released.

Kihon Tōichi, who hadn't witnessed Yoruha's jutsu firsthand, believed Kakashi's explanation.

"That kind of power is already on par with a Tailed Beast's."

"If Yoruha can master that power, he would have strength comparable to a Tailed Beast, wouldn't he?"

Kihon Tōichi looked at Kakashi.

Kakashi, however, frowned. "It's probably not that simple. Yoruha still can't control that power, and he doesn't fully understand its nature either."

"But fortunately, even when that power runs wild, Yoruha always remains conscious."

"Unlike a Jinchūriki, who loses control and is completely overtaken by the Tailed Beast during a rampage."

"So, I believe that the power inside Yoruha is just a vast amount of chakra hidden within him."

"As long as Yoruha continues to train, he should be able to master it eventually."

"However, it's not something that can be achieved in a short period."

"I'll help him."

Kakashi finished with a firm and serious tone.

Kihon Tōichi breathed a sigh of relief after hearing this.

"As long as that power isn't like a Tailed Beast's and won't take over his body, that's a relief."

Kakashi shook his head. "It won't. It's just that Yoruha can't control that power yet, which is why it goes out of control."

"What's even more unbelievable is that Yoruha, who was at the center of the explosion, survived completely unharmed—not even a scratch."

"Even after his chakra was completely drained, he just needed one night of sleep to fully recover."

"That level of recovery ability is already on par with Naruto."

"No, even Naruto might not have such an extraordinary recovery rate."

Kakashi said with amazement.

He had stayed with Yoruha the entire night, contemplating many things.

These were all conclusions he had come to during that time.

"So, I believe that the power inside Yoruha might indeed be linked to the natural Sage Body the Third Hokage mentioned."

"The Third Hokage also said that the First Hokage, who had a natural Sage Body, had incredible regenerative abilities."

"To the extent that even if his body was pierced, he could heal in a short amount of time."

"Fully recovered within moments."

Kihon Tōichi listened to all of this, feeling as though he was hearing a mythical tale.

"That's no longer human, is it? It sounds more like divine power," he said.

Kakashi sighed. "I was also stunned when I first heard about it."

"But the Third Hokage, having lived through the First Hokage's era, described the First as being nearly godlike."

"The First Hokage also had an enormous amount of chakra. During the wars, he frequently unleashed jutsu on par with Tailed Beast Bombs."

"It's hard to imagine how other shinobi must have felt living in the First Hokage's time."

"The Third Hokage even said that Yoruha might one day wield the same level of power as the First Hokage."

Kihon Tōichi's expression turned serious. "With such potential, isn't the Third Hokage worried about Yoruha becoming a threat to Konoha in the future?"

This was his main concern.

The stronger Yoruha became, the greater the damage he could cause if he ever turned against Konoha.

Wouldn't the Third Hokage have reservations?

Kakashi shook his head. "We can only hope that the Third Hokage doesn't start harboring such thoughts and that Yoruha remains loyal to Konoha."

"As his mentors, it's our responsibility to ensure he doesn't walk the path of opposing Konoha."

"But honestly, you don't need to worry too much. Yoruha is different from others—he's calm and not easily manipulated."

Kihon Tōichi chuckled. "That's true. If anyone tries to manipulate that kid, it's practically impossible."

"Not to mention, he's rational and won't develop a negative impression of Konoha just because he sees one or two dark incidents."

The ninja world was filled with emotionally-driven individuals.

Few could approach problems with cool-headed rationality.

Many shinobi, upon witnessing the darker side of their villages, began doubting their loyalty.

But Yoruha wasn't like that. He was logical, and both Kihon Tōichi and Kakashi had even discussed such matters with him.

Yoruha always responded with remarkable maturity.

He even understood the necessity of such things.

After all, a shinobi village, as the military cornerstone of a nation, could not solely consist of deeds performed in the light. There were bound to be dark and dirty tasks that were essential for maintaining peace and stability for the majority.

Kihon Tōichi remarked, "Well, his mentors are both shinobi from the ANBU, after all."

Kakashi nodded in agreement.

Of course, when it came to Naruto and the others, Kakashi didn't intend to expose them to such darkness.

They were still too immature in their thinking.

If they learned of such things prematurely, it might shatter them.

Similarly, Kihon Tōichi wouldn't let Yamada Jumoku and Hon Yataka delve into such matters.

After staying with Kihon Tōichi for a while, Kakashi left.

Today, he had to take Naruto and his team to accept a mission.

Soon, the four gathered in front of the Hokage Tower.

At the entrance of the Hokage Tower, Kakashi arrived late as usual. Naruto and the other three scolded him, "Kakashi-sensei, you're late again!"

Kakashi looked at Naruto and sighed.

Seeing Naruto reminded him that he was currently teaching three fresh graduates from the ninja academy.

Yoruha's maturity often made Kakashi forget his age and the significant age gap between them.

Casually, Kakashi explained, "Ah, sorry about that. I ran into an old lady crossing the street on my way here..."

Hearing Kakashi come up with yet another excuse as always, the three students couldn't help but twitch their lips.

Naruto grumbled, "Kakashi-sensei, you've got way too many excuses."

Kakashi waved his hand dismissively. "Alright, let's just go take on a mission."

The four headed toward the Hokage Tower. Sakura walked up beside Sasuke with a smile and asked, "Sasuke, did you see it last night? That explosion?"
