Chapter 11: Why Don’t You Go Beg Jiang Ye?:

Chapter 11: Why Don’t You Go Beg Jiang Ye?:

Jiang Tianhua was furious this time.

If Dean Wang had refused him from the start, Jiang Tianhua would have understood—it would have just been a matter of money, and he could have paid more. But yesterday, Dean Wang hadn’t asked for a penny and even promised to complete the transfer today. Now, suddenly, they weren’t accepting Jiang Cheng? It was clear he was being toyed with.

Was Jiang Tianhua, a billionaire, someone to be trifled with like this?

As Dean Wang stood there speechless, Jiang Ye took the phone from him, his tone light and mocking, “I hear you want to see me?”

The words struck Jiang Tianhua like a bolt of lightning. That voice… it was unmistakably Jiang Ye’s.

But how could that be?

He had just demanded to speak to the chairman of Shanfang Private Hospital, yet Jiang Ye was the one answering the phone.

Could it be? Could Jiang Ye actually be the chairman of Shanfang, a hospital worth billions?

Jiang Tianhua was in complete shock.

Li Yan, unaware of Jiang Ye’s voice, nudged her husband. Jiang Tianhua, still reeling, stammered into the phone, “Y-You… Are you Jiang Ye?!”

The entire room fell silent. Li Yan’s eyes widened in disbelief, her mouth agape, while Jiang Cheng, lying in his hospital bed, could barely process what he was hearing.

Was Jiang Ye—the same man he hated—actually his half-brother?

Amidst their stunned silence, Jiang Ye spoke calmly, “What’s the matter, Jiang Tianhua? Now that I have money, you can’t even recognize my voice? I get it. You abandoned me and my mother 15 years ago, so it’s normal for you to forget.”

Jiang Ye’s words pierced Jiang Tianhua with shame, but before he could respond, Jiang Ye continued, “If anyone else wants a transfer to Shanfang Private Hospital, I’d allow it. But Jiang Cheng? Never. And not just him. You, Jiang Tianhua, and your mistress, Li Yan, are no longer welcome in my hospital—ever. Understood?”

Without waiting for a reply, Jiang Ye hung up the phone.

Jiang Tianhua stared at the phone, unable to process what had just happened.

Shanfang Private Hospital, a billion-dollar institution, belonged to Jiang Ye?

It was hard to believe. Even in his twenties, Jiang Tianhua hadn’t been able to build something so massive. He had been stunned when he learned about Jiang Ye’s success with Longteng Group and the central villa in Huateng, but this… owning a private hospital worth billions?

There was no doubt in Jiang Tianhua’s mind that Jiang Ye had told the truth. After all, only the hospital’s chairman could have taken the phone from Dean Wang like that. Jiang Tianhua sat there, speechless, wondering just how many secrets his son had hidden from him.

Li Yan, having learned the full story, was so furious she couldn’t even speak.

How could it be possible that Jiang Ye—a child she had looked down on—was now the chairman of a billion-dollar company?

Why him? What made him so special? In her mind, Jiang Ye was nothing more than an unwanted child.

If it weren’t for the fear of consequences, Li Yan would have had her family deal with Jiang Ye long ago.

When Jiang Tianhua divorced Jiang Ye’s mother, it was Li Yan who insisted on leaving them penniless, forcing them to scrape by selling vegetables to survive. Watching them struggle had given her immense satisfaction.

But now, Jiang Ye was wealthy, successful, and handsome, while her own son, Jiang Cheng, spent his days causing trouble and suffering from a disease that couldn’t be cured. The bitterness of it all made Li Yan’s jealousy unbearable. She despised Jiang Ye even more, especially after he had publicly humiliated her by slapping her. Her rage had reached a point where she could barely contain it.

As Jiang Cheng listened to his parents, he pieced things together. “No wonder,” he thought aloud. “This guy has such a powerful background.”

He recalled how he had hired a group of thugs to break Jiang Ye’s hand, but Jiang Ye had dealt with them all easily. “I bet he had bodyguards with him that night,” Jiang Cheng mused. “Now that I know he’s a billionaire, it all makes sense.”

Hearing his son’s words, Jiang Tianhua’s anger flared up again. “You hired thugs to harm Jiang Ye? Do you realize how risky that was? If anyone investigates, it could lead straight back to me and your mother!”

It wasn’t Jiang Ye’s safety that concerned Jiang Tianhua; it was the delicate situation they were in. If anything happened to Jiang Ye, and it was traced back to them, the consequences could be severe. Jiang Cheng, sensing his father’s frustration, sank into silence, fiddling with his phone instead of arguing back.

Jiang Tianhua, still fuming, turned his anger on Li Yan. “This is your doing—your brilliant son!”

Li Yan had no defense. She remained silent, though her anger was boiling over. Normally quick-tempered, Li Yan was now at her breaking point, her rage simmering beneath the surface.

After a few minutes, Jiang Tianhua’s anger softened. No matter how troublesome Jiang Cheng was, he was still his son, and he couldn’t ignore that.

With a sigh, Jiang Tianhua turned to Li Yan and said, “Maybe we should buy some gifts and try asking Jiang Ye again?”

“Ask him?!” Li Yan’s face turned purple with fury, and before she could even finish her sentence, she fainted from sheer rage.
