Chapter 3: Chapter 3:The Battle of Two Sides
You two will try to stop his creations, while I will try to stop him. Nana soared into the air, leaving Gran Torino and All Might to fight the Nomu.
All For One smirked at the scene and accepted Nana Shimura's challenge, taking to the skies.
— It's just you and me now, Nana Shimura. Your predecessors couldn't stop me. Do you really hope to defeat me with your power? — A sinister aura began to emanate from the Symbol of Evil, and crimson tentacles started to emerge from his back, attempting to grab her. Nana skillfully dodged all the attacks. One of the tentacles nearly pierced her heart, but she narrowly avoided it using her Quirk "Levitation."
— Is that all you can do? Tentacles, really? I expected much more from you. All For One! — Waiting for the right moment to recharge his ability, Nana landed a powerful blow to his face, but he countered with an energy wave.
— What the teacher and the student have in common is their inability to stand against me. Let's see how you fare against this:
Energy wave,
Pyrokinesis,
Explosive wave,
Destruction,
Vacuum cannon,
Devastating will,
Laser.
The combination of several Quirks required time to execute. But All For One was aiming to deliver one powerful long-range blow that would hit all his enemies. The attack was so fast that the three couldn't react or dodge in time. The Nomu pressed forward, pushing the heroes back. A few managed to subdue some, but despite their pain, they attacked with even greater ferocity, exhausting Gran Torino and All Might. The three were thrown far from the battle site. A few Nomu were also caught in the blast as they attempted to attack them.
Lying under the rubble of buildings, Yagi recovered faster than anyone, clearing away the debris. He felt pain: several ribs were broken, blood was flowing from his forehead and nose. Wiping the blood from his nose with the fabric of his suit, he barely managed to stand up straight.
His knees shook, and his fingers trembled from the battle. In the distance, he saw several silhouettes rapidly approaching him. They were Nomu, specifically three, as some of them had been caught in their master's attack.
— I can't tremble. I can't be afraid. I won't give up as long as my heart beats! — Pulling on his signature smile, he gritted his teeth and stood up despite the pain. Preparing for the approaching Nomu, he took a stance, gathering energy in his hand, and declared:
— Detroit Smash! All Might took down two Nomu with his striking power, and the third was seriously injured — its legs were ripped off. It weakly regenerated, but the Symbol of Peace wouldn't allow it to recover, as he smashed its head with one blow, dirtying his boots. After dealing with it, he rushed to help his mentors, but that was not meant to be, as he felt the presence of his enemy in the distance, slowly approaching them, surveying the devastated landscape of the ruined city.
— If he isn't stopped, he'll reach the others. I must hold him off at all costs until they recover! — Standing on the ground, he devised a plan to stop him. But his thoughts were interrupted by All For One, offering him a deal on his terms.
— You can't stand against me, fool! — In a theatrical manner, he extended his hand in a gesture of a bargain.
— I propose a deal. You give me One For All, and in return, I'll spare your life and, so be it, spare the lives of your mentors. Do you agree to this? You won't have a second chance, boy! — In a polite tone, he offered him the deal, while his enemy changed his expression to one of seriousness, wiping the smile from his face.
Fueled by anger toward his enemy, the young All Might flipped him the bird, saying:
— Here's what I think of your deal. I will never, ever bargain with you, All For One! — Taking a stance and looking into his enemy's eyes, he clenched his fist, gathering all his energy.
— I will never bow down to you or any of my enemies... Because I… AM ALL MIGHTY!!! — Lightning began to appear around his right hand. All Might realized that this blow, if it didn't kill him, would definitely break his arm. Gathering all his will and pushing beyond his limits, his body began to emit energy he hadn't felt in a long time. His bones ached from the strain, ready to break at any moment, but the Symbol of Peace endured this pain for one, perhaps the last, strike of his life.
— So, you've decided to repay me for my mercy, you arrogant boy. Ha, well, you'll beg for a quick death when this is over, — said All For One, channeling the power of dozens of enhancing Quirks into his left hand.
Kinetic enhancement,
Destructive force,
Will of Destruction,
Muscle strength,
Metallic coating,
Enhanced regeneration,
Cerberus' Fury,
Physical power enhancement,
Energy enhancement.
His arm swelled to abnormally large proportions due to so many Quirks, tearing his white shirt apart. With his right hand, he tore his white shirt, which now resembled a rag from the clash with the heroes, exposing his torso.
— And what will you do now, hero?
Fueled by rage and the overwhelming power within him, All Might leaped toward him, channeling so much energy into his legs that they broke upon the impact of All For One's full force. Looking at him with threatening eyes, he proclaimed:
— ONE FOR ALL 110%!!! UNITED STATES OF SMASH!!! PLUS UUUULLLTTTRAAAA!!!!!
The two fists collided, causing a monstrous explosion of energy. The immediate surroundings were obliterated, creating a crater that destroyed nearby buildings. Gran Torino and Nana recovered from the laser attack. Once recovered, Nana searched for All Might, who was nowhere to be seen.
— Where is Toshinori Torino? — Torino replied in a worried voice, realizing that he was fighting All For One alone.
— He's fighting All For One! We need to get there! — Pointing to the street, they saw the scene of All Might shouting, directing all his power toward the villain.
— TOSHINORI!!! — The two professional heroes sprang into action to stop him, but it was too late; nothing could stop him, not even he himself.
Nana and Sorahiko were swept away by the shockwave, sending them crashing to the pavement. The ground shook from the impact, causing a momentary 3-point earthquake on the Richter scale. A massive cloud of dust rose into the air, obscuring the view for everyone unfortunate enough to be caught in the blast.
At the epicenter of the explosion lay the young All Might with a broken right arm and two legs. Groaning and moaning in pain, he couldn't see his opponent, who was also at the epicenter, but he felt his sinister aura, his presence. All Might tried to get up, but his legs wouldn't cooperate, as they were broken by the power of All For One. He had exhausted all his remaining strength in his strike — the strongest one at that moment — and whether he had defeated his arch-nemesis or not remained a great mystery. Gritting his teeth, lying on the ground, he turned onto his stomach and began to crawl to safety, dragging his body through the dirt and dust with his intact left hand. He didn't know where his mentors were, but he hoped they were safe.
Slowly, the smoke began to dissipate, and a silhouette of a figure became visible. No, he wasn't a human; rather, he was a skeleton growing human flesh, slowly regenerating with the help of his healing Quirk. He couldn't speak, as his vocal cords had been destroyed by the explosion. Gradually, his skeleton was covered with muscle fibers wrapping around the bones, turning into flesh without skin. Slowly, eyes began to appear, and the torso, which was covering with skin, bore a painful scar, suggesting that the blow had struck his abdomen. According to All For One, this area couldn't fully recover due to the immense power of One For All. Empty eye sockets began to fill with eyes, and skin wrapped around his muscles.
— No, he couldn't survive such a blow, no, that's impossible! — Yagi thought. He attempted to stand again, but his body categorically refused to cooperate. Slowly, but painfully, the Symbol of Evil approached his severely injured opponent, who was bleeding before his eyes. How delightful and disgusting it was for him that he still smiled, proving to himself that he was still capable of something, but that would soon come to an end.
— I must admit, I underestimated you. You truly impressed me, young man. You are either very brave or very foolish. For your bravery, I'll grant you a quick death.
To be continued.
